So... I love signatures...... But... I always see something called 'Pairs' with somebody's username on it. What is it? How do I get the power to get a 'Pair'? Is it a how many post thing? Or just people who struck up a friendship with someone and then came up with a name (in this case 'pair') that sounds cool and makes others jelly, then it caught on?

The action of pairing is often when two forum members, usually good friends, get together. This can either be in a romantic way (as in, boyfriend/girlfriend, etc.) or as a platonic way to show friendship. People often write who they're paired with in their signatures. To pair, PM or contact the person whom you would like to pair with and if you mutually agree on it, you can post in this thread to record it.

I found this information in PC's FAQ.

The current pairing thread is here.

If you want a pair, the best way is to make lots of friends on here, and to eventually just ask.

I haven't actually posted in the pairing thread. Mainly because I'm paired automatically to my bf who joined the forums. Though he never posts here since he's not a forum kind of guy. I agree with what Bruce says. Pairs are usually whatever you want. Some people pair with others just for fun, but others do it because they are in a relationship with that person. That's basically what pairs are. Usually though, the person is just paired with another person because the two happen to be great friends.

i should look at the FAQs before I ask but oh well.where is the FAQ? How do you lock this thread?

FAQ thread is here. But yeah, a pair is just a term for a member who someone has bonded very well with and you can even have more than one like in my case (I have three as of present).
