Question: "Pairs"?

I was just curious, and I don't really know where or who to ask..
What are these "pairs" I keep coming across in signatures?

I'll see people "paired" to one or more people, and I was just wondering what that noise was about.

Pairs are a fun little thing a lot of members here do; they are basically partnerships between two or more members. Usually, these members are good friends or partners, either on the forums or in real life or both! You can check out the pairings thread here, where you and your potential pair can make things official.

pairs is basically a virtual partnership, meaning you're really close to a person (or more!). it's kinda like a real-life relationship except you don't have to pay stuff, get worried about your gf cheating you or telling you "you'll pay for this", but where you can have more than one pair without any problem plus virtual hugs are awesome. don't mistake it for a relationship though, it's not like that, most of the time you're just very close friends.

a pair is also what i'll never get, because i'm a terrible user. *inserts forever alone pic*
