So I noticed this while I was going to the Sinjoh Ruins. The only two pokemon I know it does this with for sure are the Hall of Origin Arceus and Sinjoh Ruins Palkia. There are probably more including the Event Arceus.

But they aren't following you when you walk into a pokemon center. If you switch your lead pokemon to something else it pops out and follows you. However, I can't seem to get Arceus or Palkia to follow me. I think it's legendaries only, though I haven't tested it.

The only time huge Pokemon (such as Ho-oh and Lugia) can't follow you is when you go into a building. They can follow you in caves, however (I tested this out with Lugia in Victory Road).

Snorlax couldn't fit through the door. D:

Yeah, the cave thing works cause Arceus was following me throughout Mt. Silver.

I think it may be the size of the pokemon, that it is to large to be outside in the building maybe, because, pokemon like, lugia, ho-oh, and rayquaza are very large compared to your character.

Yeah, size matters for buildings and that on whether the Pokemon will follow you or not.

...and that is all there is to it, really - hence going to close as I don't see much other discussion coming from this.
