End Game
History:

Twice the Clan of Hope fought against Beo and the Dark Brotherhood. The first time was fifty years ago in which a group of new trainers in Kanto stopped the upcoming apocalypse from a crazed maniac name Beo. They were brought together by Beo's longtime rival Zypher although he would end up dying he set in motion there victory. Forty years later Beo would somehow manage to return to the world only this time in Johto, where the Clan of Hope was brought back together by Grecko Rage only to be handed utter failure, although Beo was killed. With there defeat came the end of the world as we once knew it; darkness began covering the sky. Natural disasters began sweeping the earth, earthquakes, tornadoes, hurricanes, wild fires, sink holes, volcanic eruptions, etc.

Within three years of the apocalypse half of the human and pokemon race were wiped out. Millions of miles of land mass plummeted into the ocean. The governments of the world failed in there attempts to come up with a plan, and before long the governments were over thrown and now none exists.

The food sources have began to run low, which had caused most wild pokemon to become ravage monsters who will hunt you down in kill you if you hesitate to do so first. With the sun no longer the climate is changing ever so drastically. People are starving, freezing, etc. This is where you come in.

Below are the links to the previous RP's this one is based off of:
https://www.pokecommunity.com/showthread.php?t=208668 (Path to Light and Darkness: Kanto's Downfall)
https://www.pokecommunity.com/showthread.php?t=184756 (Path to Light and Darkness: Johto Leagues Fate)

Your role:

As a survivor of the apocalypse you have been living within a refuge camp for the last three years just barley getting by. Many of you have probably lost friends, family, pokemon. Day and night no longer exists, and time just seems to converge together. You have not been prohibited to leave the camp walls due to wild pokemon and what people are now beginning to call zombies (humans who have become hunger craving monsters). The only people allowed to leave are the recon groups who have been assigned by the camp leader missions to find food sources, and other survivors.

But on one fateful day a group of six sent out on an easy food collection mission went missing and have yet to return to camp. With the people getting hungry by the minute the leader of the camp has requested six new mercenaries meet him.

You are one of those Mercenaries; your journey is about to begin along the way you will encounter "monsters", natural disasters, unsolvable mysteries, and uncover a way to restore the world to its normal state, while at the same time not giving into darkness itself.

Name: Boone Donto

Age: 16

Gender: Male

Appearance: Boone is of average height for his age standing at about five feet eight inches. He has short sandy blonde hair which is usually spiked up in the front. As for the rest of him he has an athletic type body build. He has a small scar across his face from an accident as a child.

Attire wise Boone is usually wearing a black t-shirt along with a long brown trench coat over top of it. He wears a pair of blue jeans with a bunch of ripped holes in them. Usually he is carrying around a back pack with his pokeballs and a few sentimental items inside.

Personality: Boone is a good hearted person who tries to do the best he can all the time. He will never pass up an opportunity to help someone, although sometimes he just gets in the way. Even though he his good hearted, Boone will do anything to get what he wants. He has a strong will and can not be easily dismayed.
However Boone has a bit of a fighting problem which he got from an incident as a child. He always want's to battle or fight with someone or something. Which in today's current state of the world could end up being a bad thing.

Background:

Boone was born in Pacifildog Town in the Hoenn Region. Through most of his life everything was normal. Except for one of the main points of Boone's life that shaped his whole personality was an incident where he got into a fight with a Nidorino at the age of 8. Since that fight he has become a bit of a hardnosed kid always looking for a battle or some kind of competition. Since Pacifilidog Town is built on shifting Corosola's it was only fitting that one would become Boone's starter.

When he turned ten he began journeying throughout the Hoenn region collecting badges and battling, he became a pretty esteemed trainer but of course none of those thing's would matter in a few years.

Everything seemed fine in Hoenn until Boone turned 13, the rumors of strange events going on in Johto became worse until the spread to Kanto. Boone was so confused no one had any idea of what was really going on in Johto until finally the so called apocalypse hit home throughout the entire pokemon world. Pacifilidog town was the one of the first to be torn apart by a raging tsunami that crashed into it. Boone was away training at the time and when he heard the news he tried racing home. Once he made it home he found that there were no buildings in sight or people it was all gone. At that same moment a giant wave crashed all around swallowing Boone up. The current was to strong to help swim to the top, with his last breath he released corosola and then blacked out. When he awoke he was laying in a cot in the middle of refugee camp with the old man named Grecko standing over him.

Since then he has lived in this refugee camp for what has been around three years, training and surviving, he is a fighter and will not give in to the straining conditions of the world.

Name: Jason (Jay) Dominic Vaughn
Age: 13
Gender: Male

Appearence:
Jay is a larger teen, standing at 5'6". His hair is platinum blonde and is semi-short. He has deep blue eyes, his nose is small and his ears are fitting for his head. His skin is smooth and is a light khaki, and he is of an in-the-middle frame. He has dark freckles around his body and it is very noticeable when he blushed or flushes of color.

He usually wears a white t-shirt, pale blue jean(short)s, black tennis shoes, and he always wears a blue-and-silver-striped headband that reminds him of his mother...he wears a sapphire amulet around his neck that reminds him of his girlfriend.

Personality:
Jason is calm, and he has no reason to ever cry. He usually spaces out or can be very grumpy. He is very serious and would rather walk around all day than sit and do nothing. He is antisocial and likes to strategize rather than play by ear.

He can be happy at times, mostly when he's dreaming of his family, his friends...He prefers not to be happy, though, as he knows he shouldn't. He is very persistent, strong-willed and demanding.

Background:
Jason was born in Fuscha City, and lived with his mother, father and little brother, Mason. When he was seven, he recieved Leigh, the Mawile, and the first thing she did to him was clamp onto his head affectionately. They had so many good times in those first few months, but then he and his dad moved out, and they never saw the rest of the family again. Jay grew into this, as he still had his mother's headband that he always wore, which comforted him.

After a few weeks of living in his new house in Pastoria, he enrolled in a Pokemon academy. On his first day, he met his future girlfriend, Alicia Samuel. When he was nine(a little young), he and Alicia became...together, and that was only a year before, as Jay remembered it, The Incident.

It was terrible. There was a tornado that hit the whole city. It took his house, his father, even Alicia. He had taken refuge in the basement of an abandoned Poke Ball factory. He ran, ran back to his house with Leigh to see if his father was OK. He got there, looked everywhere, but only found his father's black wristbands and his mother's headband.

Jay knew he couldn't stay. It would be wrong. He packed everything he could scavenge, put Leigh in her Poke Ball (like she hated), and set out to live...anywhere he could. But where could he go?

After the apocalyps, Jay went to the refugee camp. He has been ridiculed for his age many of times. It turned out that Alicia was a member there too. But after three years of seeing the same things over and over, she...flew the coop. No one has seen her since. But, before she left, she gave her mother's amulet to Jason. She kissed him, their first kiss.*Hint hint. Didn't say last.* Then she left. Jason has been lonely and sad ever since.

Pokemonses:
Leigh the Mawile
She is silver and aquamarine instead of black and khaki.
Moves: Iron Head, Crunch, Ice Beam, Fake Tears

Gretle the Kirlia
She is shiny.
Moves: Psychic, Thunderbolt, Fire Punch, Shadow Ball

Crayn the Sableye
His Moves: Shadow Sneak, Dark Pulse, Shadow Claw, Power Gem

Kaleb the Riolu
He is orange in the places that he should be black.
Moves: Force Palm, Drain Punch, Foresight, Blaze Kick

Weapon: Small Sword

RP shmample(the scenario of "The Incident" from a dead RP):

He was running, running like he had never run before. "C'mon, Leigh, we have to get back to the house! Who knows what's happened to Dad!"

"May, wile-may-wile!"

"You know we have to keep going, Dad's my-- the house, what happened?! No, no, no, NO! Oh man... There's a hole cut clean through to the basement! DAD! DAD!" He remembered that Alicia was supposed to come at 3:30. It was 4:05. Alicia had been here. Then..."NOO! Everyone...that I loved, gone! NOOOOOO!"

It took Lucius and Leigh a couple of hours to calm down. By then the sun had set.

"What are we going to do? Where are we going to go?" He gasped as he remembered his mother's headband and the amulet that Alicia had given him six years ago. "I have to find some things, Leigh, so watch the door." While he was looking in his father's pajama drawer(where he put the headband when Lucius stopped wearing it), he found a pair of black wristbands. Brand new. Never been opened. He tore open the package, and there was a note on the back of the inside of the box.

"Dear Lucius,

If you are reading this, then you are a Shifter. You may not know what that is, but you will find out in good time. I was a Shifter when I was a child, but after we lost Umbreon, I couldn't do it anymore. Please keep the wristbands in remembrance of me, and be safe out there with Leigh. And, unfortunatley, yes, Alicia was with me earlier today...

Sincerely,

Robert M. Acryl, your proud father.

I love you."

"What the...what's a Shifter? And how did he know that...C'MON, LEIGH, WE'RE LEAVING!"

When Lucius got downstairs, the Mawile was squealing at him, apparently not wanting to leave. "MAY! MAY-MAY-MAY-WILE!"

"No. We have to leave. I don't know where we're gonna go, ar how we're gonna do it, but I know we can do it, Leigh, because I love you, and you love me. We can do anything if we put our hearts and minds to it." He kissed Leigh's forehead and, without another word, they left Pastoria City, headband, wristbands and amulet on, hands holding, and hearts breaking...

Name: Daniel Noah Frost

Preferred Name: Danny

Age: 17

Gender: Male

Appearance: Danny looks like the average everyday teenager. He stands 5' 10", has a slight tan and a nice athletic build while weighting in at 160 pounds. Partially hidden by his semi-spiky black hair is a pair of golden-brown eyes, which sometimes appear to actually look gold that usually reflects his boredom, though are sometimes filled with sadistic excitement and on rare occasions, concern. A dislike of facial hair causes him to shave to prevent the little hairs from showing up and his sideburns are extremely short. His facial features such as his nose and chin are a bit pointed and people tend to comment on his 'cute' jaw line, which bugs him.

Clothes wise Danny dresses in a white doctor/professor's coat over a purple long sleeve zip-up. The sleeves of the shirt are rolled up halfway to his elbows and the color is popped up. Mostly, he is seen wearing black pants with white cuffs on the bottom, though he has a pair of white pants too. The base of his shoes is black while the toe cap, bottom and back side of the shoe is white.

Personality: Danny is an odd kid. While being an introvert he is one to enjoy being in the company of others. Even so he remains detached to many of the people he hangs out with, and takes on a more observant role. To those people he is seen as the odd ball out or the quiet one. When left behind those people rarely notice that he's gone missing.

To those that he is closer to, he's tough but overall he's a good guy. Danny isn't the one to give in to puppy eyes and pouts, nor is he the type of guy who feels sorry for people with sad stories. Some thinks that he's got a black hole for a heart while others can understand where he's coming from considering the times.

In shorter terms, Danny is a down-to-earth guy who is a little cold hearted towards people and their personal problems. There is a soft spot in him though, reserved for the pokemon with him and a few selected people…whoever they may be.

He's known to catch on the things and figure stuff out quicker than others thanks to his odd habit of observing people from close and far. He's also quite a hardheaded bugger, tending to head straight into whatever it is that he's got planned after thinking it through.

At times, he can seem a little psychotic…..

Background: Danny was born in Snowpoint City in the Sinnoh region. He was the first and only child to a couple of trainers who trained in the city's Gym in hopes of becoming Gym Leaders themselves. Most of Danny's childhood was spent in the cold region of Sinnoh. There weren't many kids who actually lived near him as his parents' house was outside of the city limits. He spent a lot of his time exploring the area around the house or making a journey to the city to play with the other children. As he got older he noticed that some of them would bring pokemon to play along with them. Danny was familiar with pokemon because of his parents…though he never saw them outside of training or battling. The friendship between the kids and their pokemon sparked the fire that got the young boy to start studying about pokemon. This is where he got his dream of being a Pokemon Professor…or researcher.

When he turned 10 his father had finally achieved the status of Gym Leader…only it was for Sunyshore City. Thus they had to pack their bags and move away. Being 10 moving away from home and the few friends he had was tough for Danny and he closest friend gave him a pokemon egg as a going away gift. The eggs hatched a little after Danny and his parents had settled in their new home. It was an Aipom, who Danny named Nore because that was his friend's nickname.

As time went on, Danny grew more interested in learning about pokemon rather than battling. His relationship with his Aipom turned into that of best friends rather than battle partners like his parents and their pokemon. Sometime later, his dad resigned as Gym Leader of Sunyshore City on a request from his mother back in Johto. She had informed them of the killings of the Gym Leader's by some criminal group. Oddly enough they had been informed of this only after they allowed Danny to go to Johto to visit his cousins in Goldenrod. Luckily for his parents, Danny had made a stop in Hoenn to visit his uncle. By the time he arrived in Johto the events happening there were already over. Though he will never forget his first arrival in Johto.

He had gotten a call from his parents urging him to not get off at Olivine, to pay the extra money for the trip back to Sinnoh. He repeadily told them that he would be alright and made his way off the ship. The scene he was greeted by wasn't a pleasant one. Olivine was a dreary and unwelcoming as Lavender town during the time the ghost in the tower had went wild.

Deciding to take his parents heed, he turned to board the ship but came across two interesting people. They were two boys, both who looked to be about 3 or 4 years older than he was. One had black hair and seemed to be doing okay; the other had blonde-brown hair and was on the back of a Flygon. His clothes were torn and blood and he had an empty look upon his face. He was speaking, quietly but Danny could hear his words clearly.

"Ecruteak…Gym…dark…I am the…Gym Leader…of Ecruteak…Kenn…"

The boy's thoughts were turned to the other boy as he shoved two eggs into his hands. He told Danny to watch over them and took off with the Flygon in tow.

Not long after that the disasters happened. With his Aipom, Nore, and the newly hatched Murkrow and Mudkip Danny was barely able to survive the terrors happening to the world. He was soon discovered and taken to a refugee camp. For the past 3 years he's been in the camp still researching pokemon and observing others. His mind sometimes wonders of what became of those two boys he met back in Olivine 3 years ago.

Personality: Rallen is a bit of a know-it-all expecially when it comes to pokemon. He aquired an old pokedex so he feels he has to use it whenever anything pokemon related happens. He has some depression issues that arise whenever he is proven wrong. He never leaves groups unless he really needs to. He has a lot of fears, including zombies, hights, and deep water. He tries to keep everyone happy even if it is at the expence of his own happiness.

Background: Before the apocolypse Rallen was the kind of kid who didn't get out much. He spent much of his time on homework, and video games. He was raised in Violet City, and always wanted to be like the most famous of the Violet City gym leaders Falkner. His father brought him a Pidgey for his eighth birthday. Rallen decided to continue his school past the point of most kids. He graduated high school when he was 15, and prepared for college. Just before the event he was reading zombie books, and started seeing signs. He tried to tell his family, but they thought he was acting crazy. As everything started happening his family was one of the first to make it to a camp. On the first night his camp was raided by bandits, and when he tried to do something a bandit cut his finger off. After the raid he felt it was his job to lift everyone's spirits, and took over the role of jokester.

Rallen looked at the carnage. The smell of burning flesh lingered within his nostrils. As he looked at Pidgey, and could see the sadness in his eyes. They saw everything they knew being torn apart by mindless freaks before thier very eyes.
His mother ran up in a panic. She started screaming "We have to get out "!! They started running, and he hit as many "zombies" as he could on the way out. He knew it would make no diffrence, but he did it anyways. He looked back one last time at the home he would never see again.

Name: Scott Cass

Age: 18

Gender: Male

Appearance: Scott is your average looking teenager by when it comes to height and build. He stands at about five foot eleven inches and has an athletic stalky build to him. He has blond hair which is usually spiked up in the front. People seem to be easily attracted to Scott and become very friendly with him right away because of his facial features. His face is very friendly and soft looking, almost completely harmless, which causes problems for him because that's not his personality at all. He has blue eyes and a smile that could light up the darkest room.

As for Scotts clothes he is normally seen wearing a pair of black boots, as well as a pair of blue athletic pants, and a black under armor shirt. He wears a belt across his pants that hold all of his pokeballs, and a small pouch on the left side for items. He also wears a small strap around his left shoulder and right hip that is connect to a sword sheath on his back, although the sword is currently missing.

Personality: Scott given his background is a very closed off and unemotional person. He hates initiating conversation with anyone and when someone tried to talk to him, which they do a lot he just ignores them and turn away. He can be a very stubborn and an angry person but considering the times you can't really blame him. Scott does sometimes have a little compassion towards another human though whenever someone is in danger he tries to help if he can, but he won't risk his life if he knows it's a useless cause.

However Scott does have one weakness and that's his pokemon. His pokemon are his only family and if anything were to ever harm them he would go nuts, and probably just lose it. Scott would do whatever it takes to keep his pokemon from harm even if it meant sacrificing his own life for them.

Background: The earliest memory Scott has is waking up in an orphanage in Goldenrod city in the Johto Region at the age of six. He has no recollection of any moments in his life before that, he doesn't know who his parents were or even where he was born. He spent the next two years four years of his life in the orphanage. He would watch as the other kids would get adopted and he would be ignored, it seemed as if the people were scared of him. The other kids would occasionally try to play with Scott but he would tell them to leave him alone, he was an outcast. However Scott made one friend during his time in the orphanage that is his still his friend to this day and that was the orphanage pet Eevee.

When Scott turned 10 he finally lost all hope of being adopted and was getting ready to leave the orphanage. Then on one un lucky day a man in a suit came and adopted him, this would forever change Scott's life. When Scott arrived at this man's home he opened his bag to find that Eevee had snuck in it as well seeing this made Scott happy however that was about to change. The man explained that he was under specific orders to adopt Scott for a special mission from the request of one Mr. Giovanni. The man gave Scott a pokeball to putt Eevee in. Then he explained the mission, Scott had no family and therefore was not a liability if he went missing. The man explained that Scott was going to be used to test some new devices on. Upon hearing this Scott had enough, he was tired of being alone and he was tired of being used, he grabbed the nearest object he could find and struck the man across the face knocking him unconscious or killing him he wasn't sure, he didn't stick around to find out. From that point on Scott roamed Johto Eevee, training and becoming stronger.

Then the news struck of the gym leaders being killed off by strange men in cloaked outfits. Scott decided to investigate however by the time he got involved it was to late, the next thing he saw was a strange dark cloud spreading out from the burnt tower in Eruectek City and a strange laugh. He didn't stick around to hear more he left that area, but the chaos soon followed, the darkness spread throughout Johto and soon the whole world. Natural disasters began happening every where, earthquakes, tsunamis, volcanic eruptions etc. Scott was unluckily caught in the middle of an earthquake, and was barely saved by a boy about the same age as himself named Damion. However the boys expressions made him seem older. He was darker and acted as if had seen things no person should see in there lifetime, which was hard to believe during the current events. The boy took Scott to a refugee camp and then left into the shadows of the new world.

Scott has wondered who that strange boy was for the last three years all of which have been spent inside the refugee camp.

Additional Information: Scott has been waiting for his chance to finally leave the camp so he can make some kind of difference in the world.

Chapter 1
The Sun Never Shines
Intro
"The dictionary defines the "End" as the concluding part, or termination of existence. The world as we know it is at the end of it's time; our existence will be terminated within several weeks. A man by the name of Beo is the one to blame, him and his darkness. We thought we could stop him but we were wrong, as one of the last original members of the Clan of Hope, I Grecko Rage hereby admit we were wrong to kill Beo, killing him just unleashed the darkness among the earth causing it to spread like wildfire to people. People after all are very influential and when meet with darkness they can be persuaded to do anything… As I take my final breaths my only regrets are that I would have saved Celebi, only then could we have stopped all of this, but all of the legendaries have perished... Now it's your time Scythe, please find a way to chang….." *Cough, Cough* Grecko says before coughing up blood and finally passing away at seventy eight years old.

"Grecko… I'm sorry" A very upset twenty one year old Scythe Rainer whispers fighting back tears.

"Um Scythe sir we have problems" A man in a solider uniform holding a gun says bursting into the tent.

"What.. what is it?" Scythe asks quickly.

"We have lost contact with the missionary group out searching for food" The guard says with a concerned look on his face as he sees the dead Grecko.

"Hm… How long ago did they leave?" Scythe questions.

"Three days ago sir…. The people are getting hungry, were low on supplies we won't last another week without food" The guard yells back trying to get Scythe to take action.

"Do research on the people in the camp, and find six new candidates who have the strongest and best skills, and pokemon" Scythe says as the guard nods and heads out.

"Your fight won't be in vain Grecko" Scythe says pounding the desk in front of him in rage.

Post 1
Lightning strikes, fires rage, earth quakes, water roars your dream is so life like you feel like your reliving the first few days of the apocalypse over again and suddenly you are awoken to a voice outside your tent. You open your eyes to the same dark dull gray sky you have seen for the past three years now.
You jump out of your cot and throw on some clothes before seeing one of the refugee camps leaders standing at your tent entrance. You simply question what he is doing here.

"Pack your pokemon, a change of clothes, and any other necessities you may need and come with me" The guard says as you don't argue and just quickly pack your bag and follow him.

Along the way you realize just how bad things are, many of the camps people are skinny and sickly looking. The living arrangements are terrible as seven people are forced to share on tiny tattered and torn tent. The ground below you is cracked in several places and scorched; there is no grass or greenery anywhere. The world is just not a beautiful place anywhere.

Finally after several minutes of walking you arrive at the highest point of the camp, and you see a tent just a bit bigger then yours.

"Ahem…" A voice says as a man walks into the tent and behind the table now facing all of you. The man is the leader of your refugee camp and the reason most of these people are alive, he has set up several rescue missions as well as food search missions. He has several scars along his face and arms, and carries a long sword on his back. Next to him stands a Raichu who as well has plenty of scars on his body. The mans name is Scythe Rainer and at one point he was a member of the Clan of Hope who failed at stopping the Dark Brotherhood in Johto which would in turn cause the so called apocalypse to happen. He is now twenty one years old which may be young for a leader of a refugee camp but he has experienced many things in his life that most people wouldn't dream of.

"Here's the deal we lost contact with six missionaries on a food quest a few nights ago, we fear the worst, unfortunately with the people getting sick and starving we do not have time to waste, so you six will be there replacements." Scythe explains as he gets a disgusted look on his face.

"Chukapis here will give you a weapon of your choice ether a pistol or a small sword" (Chukapis is his Raichu).

Now's your chance to choose your weapon for most of the RP, although at other times during it you will have your choice at a special one.

"Your first mission begins right now; you will leave the camp and search for some kind of food source. Secondly as soon as you exit the camp please split up, for reasons I will explain shortly it will be less likely to get picked off traveling in smaller groups this way they can't catch your scent." Scythe says as he begins to talk again.

"One last thing the wild pokemon out there have become what most people are referring to as zombies, we have several reported cases of people getting bit turning into ravage hunger craved monsters, so please do not hesitate to kill any wild pokemon or humans that act funny. In certain situations you may have to kill your own pokemon, this is the world we live in today"

With that you are dismissed, and after a short walk you reach the gates.

"If you feel yourself being followed, please do not come back here till you feel you are safe" The guard says and with that they open the gates to the outside world a place you have not seen in a few years since moving to the camp.

Post 2

The area outside the camp is a site for sore eyes, it's just endless desert in all directions.

What to do:

• Explore the surrounding areas
• Include some dialogue to how you ended up at the camp

Finally after what seemed like hours due to time seeming like it stands still in the ever gray sky you notice the outline of a city. You begin to race towards it and as you get closer you find yourself staring at death and destruction. The buildings are all rubble burned to the ground. Decaying dead bodies lie all around covered in blood, and then you notice them several Raticates eating away at the bodies. You begin to slowly walk away but it's too late they've caught your scent, and begin chasing you down with there blood stained teeth bearing.

It's battle time:

Pokemon:
[PokeCommunity.com] Path to Light and Darkness: End Game

Raticate x3

After an excoriating painful battle your pokemon kills the three Raticates. Exhausted from this being the first time you've left camp and have fought any other pokemon you find yourself wanting to set up camp for the night and get some sleep. One problem though, you forgot to put your pokemon back in it's bag and suddenly another Raticate jumps out from no where and bites your pokemon in the leg, you fall back but regain your steps and use your weapon to kill the Raticate.

As you stand before one of your most trusted and loyal friends in the world you realize you may lose him just like the rest of the people you've loved in the world.

And suddenly you hear a faint laugh in the distance.

End of Chapter 1.

Jason watched, horrified, as the lightning struck down the Lavender Radio Tower, fire burning all of the houses, earthquakes sucking in Mt. Coronet. He watched as--no, he listened as he heard subtle whispering outside. He had woken up, thank Arceus. But...

"Who the crap would wake me up this early in the morning? I can clearly see the moon through my tent, and I don't need this. I'm a growing boy, darnit," said Jay as he groggily got up from his cot. "Who the heck is it?! And waddaya want?!"

"Camp gaurd. And I want you to GET OUT HERE RIGHT NOW. Pack your Pokemon, some clothes and any supplies you may need. HURRY."

"Alright, fine. But I still don't need this crap," said Jay as he did what the gaurd had told him to do. He exited his tent. "Now, what do you want? It's probably only four thirty. I'm thirteen, if you haven't noticed, and I need my sleep."

"You little booger. Stop your bickering and come with me. Or, we can kick you out of the camp...not that it'll matter..."

"I'm sorry, I didn't catch that last part. Was it an insult or a complaint?"

"Alright, smartass, just follow me," the gaurd muttered. "And I don't need your attitude, mister. I can have you kicked out of the camp."

"OH! Wait here, I forgot my dad's scimitar! It's almost all I have left," Jay begged.

"Alright, five minutes. We've already wasted enough time," the gaurd hastily complained.

When Jay got back and they were heading to a tent, he pulled half of the blade out of its scabbard and read part of the inscription: "and he who holds the blade has power." "Wow," he said, "it sounds so feirce..."

"We're here. The meeting has, apparently, begun. I hope you're happy. Scythe shouldn't be," the gaurd warned.

Jay walked into the tent. "Sorry I'm late. I took a little long to wake up. Heh...heh...heh?..." he said as he walked to the empty seat next to a man wearing under armour clothing and a satchel.

"Sssssssshhhhhhhhhhh. You're not late. The meeting hasn't started yet," the man next to him informed.

"Well, awesome. Oh, look, it's Scythe! Scythe Rainer!" Jay said as, indeed, Scythe Rainer strode into the tent.

"He knows how to make an entrance," said the man next to him, apparently to himself.

"I have called you here, as you are probably wondering," Scythe started, "Because there has been a dissapearence. Of food scouts. And you six are going to take their places." At this point a Raichu walked into the tent, holding out weapons for those who didn't have any.

"This is my Raichu, Chukapis," Rainer said, "and he is here for those of you who do not have weapons. Well, then, come get them."

When everyone had weapons, Scythe continued. "Well, here we go. Out into the world you go!" he said as he sent them out of the tent and to the gate. It opened wide.

"Watch your backs. If you feel, hear or see a follower, you must lead them off before returning inside these walls," explained one of the gaurds. "And one more thing. If you or a Pokemon are bitten...that person or Pokemon may not come back. We don't need that virus in here."

Somehow, all six of them said simultainiously: "Here we go."

The gates slammed shut.

"Ugh. This place is disgusting. Alright, who's comin'--"

They were all gone.

"Hmph. Should've seen it. No one wants to come with the little one. I would just slow them down. Hate em' all. Sure wish Alicia was here. Hmmm..." He looked down at her amulet. "I don't know where you are, but...I hope that you're OK." He observed the surroundings. "Wow, this place is disgusting. It's REALLY disgusting."

Crayn squirmed inside of his PokeBall. "No, Crayn. You know that you're not allowed out. You could...um...Don't wanna talk about it." Crayn just kept squirming, the little Sableye kept moving around in his PokeBall. He wanted to see the world that he used to live in, not expecting it to be any different. "Alright, but it's not much different from when you got to the camp." He let Crayn out of his PokeBall.

"Sayb. Sableye."

"Hmmm. It seems that you think I was right. But I'm not sure that I hear--look, I don't want to be too loud. 'Cause of the...zombies. Y'know, I remember my first run-in with zombies. There was a guy and an Absol. It actually felt real inspiring, seeing human and Pokemon keep their bond through starvation and insanity. Anyway, when I ran into the camp, the first person that I saw was Alicia. Then about two months later, you ran into me and my stupid life. I got you sucked into this."

"Sayb, Sableye. Sableye, Leye-Sayb." Which means: "Well, at least it was better than my life out here. Uuuggghhh." Crayn then suggested, by gesture, that they explore the wasteland.

"It's so boring out here," Jay complained.

"Sab, Sableye," said Crayn, which meant: "It's boring in the camp too. This whole world is boring."

"You got a good point, there, Crayn. Hey, wait. I see a--let's go! It's a city! But just in case...everyone, out!" He tossed the three PokeBalls into the air.

"Kir-Kirlia!"

"Ri-Ri-Riolu!"

"May, Mawile!"

"Alright, guys, we need to head to that city!" Jay pointed to the sillhouette in the distance. "Any objections? No? OK, it's your time to shine. Let's go!!" The ran to the city. It felt like hours and hours, but it really wasn't that long. And when they got to the city, they were in for a real bad surprise. Real bad.

There were man-eating Raticate. Man-eating Raticate.

They were eating away at dead and decayed/decaying bodies. The team tried to sneak around the "om-nom-nomming" Raticates, but it was useless. The Raticates had heard Kaleb(aka "The Baby of the Team") snap a twig. The three crazy rats started to spaz out before they attacked. "RA-RATICCAAATE! HHHHHCCCCCC!! HHHHHHIIIIIISSSSSSSSSS!"

Then they attacked.

"Gretle, Psychic! Leigh, Ice Beam! Kaleb, Drain Punch! Crayn, Dark Pulse!"

Two Raticate were down. One was badly injured. And that one bit Crayn's right leg.

"NO! Gretle, Fire Punch!" That did it. Jay took out his sword anyway and ended the three Raticate. "That's what you get when you mess with us!" he yelled at the dead bodies. "Gretle, do your thing."

"Kir, KIR KIR...LIAAAAAAAAA!!!"

Crayn's blood flowed back into his leg, and Gretle fainted. Jay returned everyone to their PokeBalls and, suddenly, heard a faint laugh in the distance.

"Uh-oh."

Scott stood dead in his tracks as he watched the lightning strike the famous Ecruteak Burnt Tower. Dark clouds began swirling from the top of the building and laughter filled the air.

"Bre!" Umbreon shouted as Scott turned around to see lightning strike his Umbreon down.

"Umbreon!!" Scott shouted running towards his injured pokemon.

Suddenly the ground around him began to shake violently and open up all around his feet. Scott was sucked down into the earth plummeting and began plummeting to what would ultimately be his death.

"Nooo!!!!" Scott shouted flailing his arms around his cot before hearing a voice outside his tent and waking up. "Another damn nightmare…" he whispers seeing one of the camp guards enter his tent.

"Pack your pokemon, a change of clothes, and any other necessities you may need and come with me" The guard says as Scott decides not to argue with him noticing the gun across his shoulder.

Scott threw his cover off him revealing his shirtless body to be covered in long scars and other various disgusting bruises etc. Walking over to his desk he grabs his under armour shirt and quickly put it on. After getting dressed Scott attaches his four pokeballs containing his only family and a small gray satchel pouch onto his belt.

"Ok pokeballs, a few provisions in my pouch that should be… Oh wait I almost forgot!" Scott said walking over to the back of his tent and grabbing a sword sheath without the sword, he slung it over his back and then headed out of the tent.

As Scott followed the guard throughout the camp he looked around at how bad the conditions actually were. Not only was it beginning to get real cold outside due to the sun never shining, but there was more to it. The ground was hard and cracky, there was no grass in sight as it was scorched from the fires that ravaged the world. That wasn't the worse part though; the worst part was looking at the torn and tattered tents that had ten people cramped into one. The residents of the camp were skinny and starving looking; it was amazing that he was still as healthy as he was considering the rest.

It only took a few minutes to reach the northern most part of the camp, and Scott realized right away they were standing in front of the camp leader's tent. Scott had only heard rumors about him mainly that his name was Scythe Rainer and he had been in some group known as the Clan of Hope… but what that group had to do with anything he had no idea.

"You can go inside now" The guard said opening the tent curtain letting him in, as he entered the tent the first thing Scott noticed was that there were a few more people from the camp awaiting the same thing he was.

"Why am I here?" he thought to himself. Little did he know his thoughts were going to be answered very shortly.

"Ahem…" A voice says as a twenty or so year old man walks in through the other end of the tent and stands behind a table in front of Scott and the rest of the group. The man is none other then the leader of the refugee camp and the reason most of these people are alive. There are several scars along his arms and face. Next to him stands a Raichu who as well has plenty of scars on his body.

"He knows how to make an entrance" Scott whispers sarcastically under his breath rolling his eyes.

"Here's the deal we lost contact with six missionaries on a food quest a few nights ago, we fear the worst, unfortunately with the people getting sick and starving we do not have time to waste, so you six will be there replacements." Scythe explains as he gets a disgusted look on his face. At first Scott was a little unsure of this considering the dangers that lay outside of the camp walls, but he finally breathed a sigh of relief as he has wanted to leave this place and walk around outside for years.

"Chukapis here will give you a weapon of your choice ether a pistol or a small sword" Scythe explains as the Raichu stands behind an area of the table with a bunch of pistols and small swords on it.

Slowly each of the group made there way to the table picking out a weapon. It wasn't an easy choice for Scott however as he debated several times if a pistol would actually be the stronger weapon. Then finally it was his turn.

"Umm small sword" Scott said softly as the Raichu handed a small sword over to Scott and he clipped it to his belt next to the gray pouch. Suddenly Scythe began to speak again.

With that they were all dismissed and a guard was there to show them off to gates… A few things were going through Scotts head at the moment, like why he was chosen to do this mission? Why any of these specific people were chosen? What exactly was going on outside the gates of the camp at the moment? And where exactly would he find a source of food?

But his thoughts were cut short as the approached the gates and the gate guards began to speak.

"If you feel yourself being followed, please do not come back here till you feel you are safe" The guard says and with that they open the gates to the outside world a place you have not seen in a few years since moving to the camp.

With that Scott exits the camp wondering what exactly was waiting for him.

"Wake up you lazy waste of space".
Those were Rallen heard.
"Why"?
"Someone needs to talk to you".
"Ok send them in". He knew that anyone without a name coming to see him couldn't be good.
An intimidating man walked in, and told him to get his things togeather.
Rallen silently packed his things, and followed the guard to the main tent.
As he walked in he saw the famous Scythe Rainer, whom Rallen was never really a fan of.
"Here's the deal we lost contact with six missionaries on a food quest a few nights ago, we fear the worst, unfortunately with the people getting sick and starving we do not have time to waste, so you six will be there replacements." Scythe explains as he gets a disgusted look on his face.
"Chukapis here will give you a weapon of your choice ether a pistol or a small sword".
As the Raichu got to Rallen he didn't give a second thought to what he was taking. He grabbed the pistol because he knew he didn't want to get close to those freaks outside of the camp.
"Your first mission begins right now; you will leave the camp and search for some kind of food source. Secondly as soon as you exit the camp please split up, for reasons I will explain shortly it will be less likely to get picked off traveling in smaller groups this way they can't catch your scent."
Rallen shuttered when he heard that statement.
"One last thing the wild pokemon out there have become what most people are referring to as zombies, we have several reported cases of people getting bit turning into ravage hunger craved monsters, so please do not hesitate to kill any wild pokemon or humans that act funny. In certain situations you may have to kill your own pokemon, this is the world we live in today".
As the group left he quickly released his Pidgeotto.
"I need you to scout for water then direct me towards it". It only seemed logical that with water there is fruit. He then brought out Marshtomp. This was just so he wouldn't be alone. Pidgeotto re-appeared quickly.
"Geo geotto"
"You found water"?
He nodded and started flying eastward. Rallen, and Marshtomp ran behind him as quickly as they could. They didn't realise that would be the last time they ran togeather.

SootDumpling: Not bad for your first post, as we get into the more indepth chapters though i'd like a little more detail, other then that you can move on to post 2!

As they ran toward the river it really hit Rallen just how little there was left. The river was grey with ash and remains.
"Oh god", he whispered. Rallen thought of everyone that lived because of this river, and he just fell to his knees and cried.
"Get ahold of yourself", he said as he slapped himself. He looked around, and saw there was nothing growing anywhere around this river within sight.
"Any ideas"?
"Tomp tomp marsh", Marshtomp started jumping, and pointing towards the city to the north.
"Thats about a day away are you guys good with that"? Both the pokemon not as they start though the dead land. When they got near the city Marshtomp pulled Rallen aside.
"What is it"?
"Ma-"
Before Marshtomp could say anything a Raticate tackled him as two others came out from behind rubble.
"Pidgeotto Heat Wave, Now!"
As the flames hit the Raticates he realised why they were so aggresive. They were zombies. Rallen was frozen in his tracks. The flashes of death, and destruction flashed before his eyes.
"Geo"
Pidgeotto attacked the Raticate as quickly as it could. Rallen just stood staring as the bird ripped strait though the decaying flesh of the zombie.
"Marshtomp!" He shook Rallen to bring him back to the real world.
"Are you ok?" Both of his pokemon nodded unharmed.
"Time to set up camp, It's to late we won't get anywhere in the dark." He withdrew Pidgeotto, and reached to grab Marshtomp's pokeball.
*Slam*
Another Raticate started to bite Rallen. In slow motion he saw the Raticate jump at him mouth open. Then next thing he saw was the beast latched onto his Marshtomp.
"No!" He knew he had to do something, and all that he could do was grab his gun, close his eyes, and pull the trigger. He opened his eyes to see his bleeding, helpless pokemon laying next to the corpse of the zombie.
"Oh god, oh god, oh god". That was all he could say. He was stunned, and he didn't know what to do next...

SootDumpling: Good post! Next chapter will be posted once I do my last post and the rest finish the chapter!

Chapter 1 post 2

Scott kicked the dirt up around him as Umbreon tiptoed next to his feet.

"This is place is disgusting…. How could things get this bad?" Scott questioned looking down to his best friend.

"Bre" Umbreon murmured.

All around Scott was endless desert, he could just imagine how once there was maybe a patch of wild flowers, or even a forest here in this spot but not anymore. Things would never be the same as it used to be and Scott knew that. The technology they once had is all gone, cell phones, computers, all of it.

"This is hopeless where exactly are we going to find a food source in a place like this?" Scott exclaimed taking a seat on the dusty cracked ground. He laid back and put his hands behind his head staring up at the sky, Umbreon curled up on Scott's stomach and rested his head on his chest. Scott couldn't even tell what time of day it was due to the fact that it was always dark outside, which was odd. The sun never shined through the clouds anymore. "I'm exhausted we have to have been walking for a couple hours now".

"Um?" Umbreon said lifting his head up and sniffing the air.

"Huh? What is it boy?" Scott asked looking around trying to see if someone was approaching as Umbreon darted off north and Scott jumped to his feet taking off after him. "Slow down Umbreon your going to attract attention to us!" After chasing Umbreon for several minutes he stopped dead in his tracks as he was now standing outside an old destroyed city. The site was hideous, and Scott felt like passing out. There were decaying bodies lying in the streets, hanging out of buildings. Scott could smell them from the edge of the city, blood stained the ground.

"Bre" Umbreon hissed as right front of them were three Raticates eating away at one of the bodies… It was something Scott wished he'd never seen.

"Umbreon let's just back away slowly." Scott whispered as the two of them began to walk backwards.

"Crunch, crackle" The sound's of broken glass under Scott's left foot made the Raticates lift there heads from the body and turn and dart straight for Scott.

"**** Umbreon run" Scott shouted as he began to turn and run but it was to late, he tripped up and smashed his face off the concrete. One of the Raticates lunged at him but was immeaditly tackled in mid-air by Umbreon who began clawing at the Raticate and biting. That's when Scott noticed the strange color and disfigurement of the Raticates, they weren't normal, they were zombies.

"Umbreon be careful!!" Scott yelled as he grabbed another pokeball off his belt. "Go Donphan!" he tossed the pokeball into the air as Donphan emerged in a beam of light.

"Don! Don!" Donphan roared rolling up into a ball and tackling the other two Raticates.

"Umbreon use confuse ray!" Scott ordered as Umbreon planted it's feet in the ground and focused it's eyes on the Raticate shooting a spiraling beam at it. The Raticate suddenly stopped in it's tracks and diverted it's attention from Umbreon to the other Raticates who at the moment were being knocked back by Donphans trunk.

"Cate!!" The confused Raticate shouted as charged at the other two Raticates biting the one in the tail, the three of them then began to fight amongst each other.

"Now's your chance Donphan earthquake!!" Scott ordered as Donphan slammed his top right foot into the ground causing it to shake violently all around the Raticates, it began to open up all around them and they plummeted to there deaths.

"Good riddance and good job guys! Donphan return" Scott said returning Raticate to its pokeball. Umbreon scampered over to Scott, he was exhausted and Scott could tell he was.

"Bre" Umbreon uttered before collapsing next to his trainers feet.

"I know buddy, will set up camp and rest for the night" Scott whispered kneeling down next to Umbreon and rubbing his back, nothing prepared Scott for what happened next though as another Raticate jumped out of nowhere biting Umbreon in the left hind leg.

"BREEE" Umbreon screamed in terror as Scott fell back to his butt. He was panicking, the Raticate was coming back to attack again, he was about to lose the best friend he had in the whole world, and suddenly he lost it.

"DIEE!" Scott roared drawing his small sword from his belt and slashing at the zombie Raticate who was in mid air strike, as Scott impaled the sword straight through its skull.

The Raticate fell lifeless to the ground next to Umbreon whose leg was now violently bleeding, the area around it was turning a shade of green… Umbreon was infected, and Scott had no idea what to do, he only had moments before the virus changed his pokemon, his best friend, his only family. He lifted Umbreon off the ground and curled him in his arms.

"I'm so sorry…" Scott whispered into his ear as Umbreon whimpered.

"Hahahahahahaha" A strange laugh was heard off in the distance.. It was a cold lifeless laugh and it made Scott feel uncomfortable. Tears began rolling down his cheek, what was he going to do now?

Spoiler:

"Wake up," snarled an angry voice outside of Miharu's tent.

Miharu's eyes snapped awake and quickly put on a shirt and pants before opening the flap to her tent.

"Yes?" asked Miharu incredulously.

"Pack your pokemon, a change of clothes, and any other necessities you may need and come with me," says the guard in a tone that doesn't brook argument.

Miharu walks back into her tent and packs her things, her mind in a frenzy.

What the hell is going on here? I know for a fact that I had made my point clear about not being awoken in the middle of the night if there wasn't an emergency and yet here this guy is, asking me to pack for what suspiciously sounds like a trip… Miharu's eyes narrowed. Oh hell no. He is not trying to make me become a mercenary. I've already expressed my views into becoming one. Damn it.

Miharu shouldered on her pack and left the tent, nodding to the officer.

"I'm ready." Not really.

---

Miharu glared at the man in front of her, her teeth bared in anger as the man in front of her look at her with a hint of amusement in his eyes.

"No," grounded out Miharu, eyes flashing wildly. "I refuse."

Scythe slammed down on the desk in front of him, making Miharu twitch.

"Damn it Miharu," snarled the leader of the refugee camp. "You are the best person, though that's not saying much, out of any of these children in doing this job. You are actually experienced in fights, are a mediocre swordsman, and an okay pokemon battler."

"**** off," said Miharu tightly before swirling around to leave the tent.

"I'll allow you to look for your friend."

Miharu stopped, frozen in shock before turning around to face Scythe with a look in her eyes that screamed 'You-better-not-be-****ing-with-me-because-I-don't-care-how-good-you-are-and-better-you-are-at-me-in-a-fight-because-I'll-still-kick-your-ass.'

"What?"

Scythe growled. "I said, I'll allow you to look for your friend or whoever it is that you wanted to find before you came here three years ago."

Miharu was silent, thinking about the offer before sighed and sat down in front of Scythe.

"What am I supposed to do?"

Scythe sighed as well before sitting behind the desk.

"Here's the deal we lost contact with six missionaries on a food quest a few nights ago, we fear the worst, unfortunately with the people getting sick and starving we do not have time to waste," said Scythe. "You and some other five kids will be their replacements."

A Raichu walked in holding a small sword and a pistol in each paw.

"You'll have the choice between a small sword and a pistol so choose wisely."

Miharu picked up the small sword, checking its balance, the blade, and how it fits into her hand.

Miharu chuckled before replying. "I may be a little bit rusty with a sword."

Clang

Miharu blocked Scythe's sword as it tried to take her head off. She had ducked down when she saw the movement out of the corner of her eye and brought her sword up to block. Scythe was standing up, his arm out as his sword was pushing against Miharu's sword. He then sat down, returning his sword to his seethe.

"Rusty indeed."

"…I may have sneaked into the weapons and gotten a sword in order to not have my reaction slowed down."

"Too bad I only went at half speed."

"…I hate you."

"I know."

Scythe coughed, allowing the last moment to go past them.

"Anyways," said Scythe. "Your first mission begins right now; you will leave the camp and search for some kind of food source. Also, the wild pokemon out there have become what most people are referring to as zombies, we have several reported cases of people getting bit turning into ravage hunger craved monsters, so please do not hesitate to kill any wild pokemon or humans that act funny. In certain situations you may have to kill your own pokemon, this is the world we live in today. Dismissed."

Miharu rolled her eyes, before saluting mockingly and leaving the tent.

The world was going to hell and it was trying as hard as it could to take everyone with else with it. One direction, massive rocks falling out of the sky, flung by a twisting funnel of air. Crash. Another, and the hills on the horizon exploded in a mass of angry colours with orange lava slowly but surely oozing towards a mass of houses. Boom. Right in front of him the earth was splitting open, cracking the ground and ravaging the city around it. A skyscraper was felled. Smash.

Crash. Boom. Smash. With every sound was a new chorus of screams and the earth's population dwindled just that little bit more. Dark clouds swallowed the sky and obliterated the sun. And then a new sound. Whoosh… Buck turned and saw a 50 foot wall of water was surging towards him. He barely had time to scream before it smashed into him, and -

"AAAAARGH!!!!!" Buck yelled and sat up in bed. 'It's got me!' he screamed in his head. Then he remembered where he was calmed down. Looking around, he saw that he had hit the small table next to his sleeping bag and tipped his cup of water on himself. Relieved that he wasn't caught in the middle of a tsunami, he sat back down and looked up at he sky through a hole in his shabby tent and saw the dark, dull grey sky he had seen for the last 3 years. Sighing, he got up and chucked on his favorite clothes. No point trying to get back to sleep now.

"Hey. Hey you!" someone said. Buck turned and saw a camp leader standing at his tent flap.

"Oh come on man!" Buck complained. "Do you know what time it - "

"Quiet!" demanded the man a little fiercely.

Buck looked at him cockily and said "Sorry, what? After all the other things I've lost I don't want to lose any sleep. I mean, crap man!"

"Look, just shut up, pack your Pokemon, a change of clothes, and any other necessities you may need and come with me!" the man shouted. Buck sighed and grabbed his backpack, the only thing left of his parents, and packed his few positions. He clipped his Pokeballs to his belt and left the tent.

Walking along, Buck realized just how bad things were. Many of the camp people were skinny and sickly looking. The living arrangements were terrible and Buck spied seven people forced to share one tiny, tattered, torn tent. The ground below him was cracked in several places and scorched. There was no grass or greenery anywhere. Sadly, Buck moved on.

"Hey Buck!" Buck turned and saw his two good friends, Issy and Michael walking towards him. "Where ya going?" smiled Issy. Buck felt his stomach doing backflips. She was so beautiful! He thought that she liked him but wasn't really saw. He was thinking of asking her out, but apparently that was going to have to wait.

"Hey guys. I dunno, this man just pulled me out of the tent and apparently I'm going somewhere." Buck laughed.

"Well good luck mate, try and bring me back some kind of souvenir." joked Michael.

"Yeah right, man, like thats gonna ha - " Buck abruptly stopped and stared at the pair. They were holding hands. "Uhh, hey guys" he murmured. "What's this?"

"Oh, this?" Michael said, pulling up Issy's hand. "We have a thing now!" he laughed. "Isn't it great?" All Buck could do was stare, crushed.

"I...I gotta go…" he managed to say, and ran off after the guard. Now he had really lost everything. Depressed, he kept walking and after a few minutes he was led to a tent that was just a little larger than his.

"In you go, ya cheeky mongrel." growled the leader, and Buck walked though the tent flaps to find a bunch of other people standing there looking as dumfounded as he did.

"Ahem…" a voice said as a man walked into the tent and stood behind a table in front of the group. Buck recognized the man immediately. He was a hero! The leader of the refugee camp and the reason most of the people there were alive! He had set up several rescue missions as well as food search missions, and from them recieved several scars along his face and arms. A long sword was hanging on his back. Next to him stood a Raichu who, as well, had plenty of scars on it's body.

His name was Scythe Rainer, once a member of the Clan of Hope which failed at stopping the Dark Brotherhood in Johto, which in turn caused the apocalypse.

"Here's the deal." Scythe started in a commanding voice. "We lost contact with six missionaries on a food quest a few nights ago, and we fear the worst. Unfortunately, with the people sick and starving we don't have time to waste waiting for them to show up, so you six will be their replacements." He had a disgusted look on his face.

He then motioned to the Raichu, who stood behind another table lined with weapons. "Chukapis here will give you a weapon of your choice, ether a pistol or a small sword" The people lined up and Buck casually strode over, already confident of his choice. When he got to the table he instantly pointed to a shining black pistol. "Chu!" said Chukapis, picked up the gun, a holster and a bunch of ammunition rounds and handed them over. Buck clipped the holster to his waist and put the gun in, a grim smile on his lips.

"Your first mission begins right now" he explained, "You will leave the camp and search for some kind of food source. Secondly, as soon as you exit the camp, please split up. You will be less likely to get picked off traveling in smaller groups. This way they can't catch your scent.

"One last thing. The wild Pokemon out there have become what most people are referring to as zombies. We have several reported cases of people getting bit and turning into ravaged, hunger craved monsters, so please do not hesitate to kill any wild Pokemon or humans that act funny. In certain situations you may have to kill your own Pokemon. As such is the world we live in today"

With that, they were ushered out of the tent and set off for the camp gates. There were a few guards on duty who opened the doors for them and wished them luck. "If you feel yourself being followed, please do not come back here till you feel you are safe!" yelled one of the guards, and then the gates were closed again.

Buck looked around him determinedly. The other members were already moving away from the camp in different directions into the barren, wasted landscape. He too set off from the others, just walking in a straight line and thinking. Buck had lost everything, he realized. His family, his world and now his hope at ever finding love. He was good for nothing and no-one. He was now leading a truly unhappy life.

Maybe after this thing had all blown over he would leave the camp for good and just wander the barren countryside. At least he had something to look forward to...

Miharu scowled at the barren wasteland that was now the world she lived in. Her eyes adjusting to the never ending darkness, she walked across the dessert while kicking up dust.

"I hate Scythe," said Miharu bitterly. "Looking for Red or not."

Miharu walked across the barren wasteland before coming across a couple of broken buildings that seemed to be the remains of a city. Her eyes narrowed at the sight before her nose caught the scent of blood and death as she gagged.

Dead bodies were everywhere in an endless sea of destruction and blood. Buildings were crumbling down and right before Miharu's eyes a part of the building crumble and fell on top of a pile of broken, bleeding bodies. The people lying dead seemed to have been in terrible and great pain as Miharu moved across the decaying bodies. The corpses all seemed to have the same expression in their face, the expression of pain and fear. Miharu noticed some people had arms, eyes, ear, whatever you name it, had been ripped off from their bodies. At a closer look, Miharu noticed that they had been ripped off by very sharp teeth that resembled Raticate teeth.

Miharu's eyes narrowed. Why would there be Raticates' in this area, ripping off extremities off of dead people…Oh, ****.

Miharu snapped up as she heard growls behind her. She turned around to see three Raticates looking straight at her.

The Raticates were a poor sight as all of their fur looked an oddly sick colour. Some of the fur had been gone in some places and as the Raticates snarled at Miharu, she noticed blood oozing down from their mouth and teeth onto the dessert.

****!

Very slowly, Miharu backed off, but before she could get away properly, as she backed up, a bone snapped from underneath her.

I repeat, ****!

One of the Raticate leaped up towards her, snarling as its sharp teeth was in close proximately with her throat. In one fluid motion, Miharu took out her sword and cut the Raticate in half. Miharu winced at doing so, as she loved pokemon more than she would ever love most humans, but she also didn't feel like dying yet.

Seeing their comrade fall to the ground dead, the other two Raticates ran to Miharu, ready to sic their gleaming white teeth stained with red into her flesh.

Crap!

Miharu jumped up, one of the Raticate's teeth barely snapping at her feet as she jumped behind the Raticates and ran for one of the buildings.

Snarling, the Raticates with the taste of human flesh ran after her.

Miharu's mind was in a whirl as she was being chased by the Raticates before looking for a good place to hide/fight.

Not a good place, not a good place, not a good place, where the bloody hell are all of the good places around here? ****************!

Miharu heard the Raticates gaining on her, but she didn't dare turn around but instead sped up. Suddenly, she tripped and tumbled onto the ground by a loose piece of rock. This was the only chance the Raticates needed in order to jump onto the meal.

The great Mizushima, Miharu gets killed by a piece of rock. That's going to do well for my reputation.

But before the Raticates could land on her and sink their teeth into her flesh, Flygon had came out of his pokeball and Iron Tailed the Raticates into the next few buildings over. Miharu breathed a sigh of relief.

"Thanks Flygon."

Flygon replied in response and was about to go into it's pokeball before a Raticate out of nowhere jumped onto Flygon and sank its teeth into Flygon's tail. Flygon groaned in pain before Miharu, with murder in her eyes, cut the Raticate in five pieces using her sword. As the Raticate fell to the ground, dead, Flygon fell across of the Raticate with a fever induced pain in his eyes. Miharu took a look at Flygon's tail before swearing rapidly.

****! Flygon seems to be affected by the 'Zombie Disease '.

Miharu pet Flygon on the head while muttering softly to him. Knowing that soon Flygon will probably become a zombie, all she could do is wait and hope that Flygon's will would be strong enough. Just then, Miharu heard a cruel and dark laugh that seemed to be coming out of the Earth itself. Miharu shuddered.

I really hate Scythe.

MichaelaTheUchiha: Another good post! I could def feel how your character felt.

Note to everyone: Just waiting on Perfect Monster to post his last post, and Tim0789 and Kerjo to at least get one post up before moving on.

It felt like several hours had passed as Buck walked, but still he walked on in search of resources. His feet were cut on the bottom and his legs were weary, adding more strain to the trek. If he kept going like this he would probably be finished in a day.

'No!' he thought to himself. 'I just have to distract myself. Lets think about something else…' Many thoughts filled his mind, but all were too depressing. His family dying, living at camp for what felt like forever, starting this journey. It was like there was not a happy thought left in the world. Not a happy place left.

Buck's mind settled on how he found the camp. After the building fell on him and crushed his life, after crouching there for an eternity and after crawling out he recalled just walking. Kind of like he was now. His mind was in a daze and his face was streaked with tears. He had walked through the dark and destroyed countryside with horror, seeing dead and dying people littering the landscape.

He recalled sheltering in New Bark Town (or what was left of it) and passing out. For a few days after he awakened he did the usual; found food, looked for survivors, all the smart things. The only one he found was a girl his age who would turn out to be one of his best friends, Issy.
The pair realized there was nothing left for them in New Bark's ruins and set off once again, hoping to pass through Tohjo Falls and continue through to Kanto to see if anyone else was alive there.

Something caught them, though, and he was knocked out. When he awoke he was at the camp. Buck grimaced. All this time he had been living there but he had never asked where it was! Was he in Johto again, near his home? Was he in Kanto, where things looked even worse? Hell, for all he knew he could be in freaking Isshu! He should've learnt more about his surroundings before leaving on a mission like this…

Once again Buck looked up. He could tell lots of time had passed but the sky was still the same, grey, dull colour in all directions of this deserted desert (Buck smiled at the words). Wait...something was different. The horizon had been broken by what looked like a city! Buck sighed with relief. Finally he could find supplies and get back to camp. He was sick of this thing already!

He looked around bluntly and saw, leaning against a tree, an old bycicle leaning against a tree. 'Say, that could be useful,' he thought. He rushed over to it and pulled it up. Blue mountain bike, still in rideable condition. It should last long enough to get to that city in half the time! Happily Buck jumped on and started pedaling, singing his favorite song, 'Shoot to Thrill' by ACDC in his head over and over.

The closer he got the more he found himself staring at death and destruction. Every building was rubble, burned to the ground. Decaying dead bodies laid all around, all covered in blood. He thought back to the days of the Apocalypse and thanked his lucky stars that he wasn't one of these sad souls. He slowly braked in front of an old grocery store, but it had been long robbed of it's contents. A body of a man lay half out of one of the windows. His arm was missing and the skin on one side of his face had rotted away so Buck could see the muscles underneath. Buck pedaled on before he vomited.

Further ahead was a group of bodies next to a petrol station, surrounded by a small bunch of vicious Raticate with teeth covered in blood. The bodies were becoming snacks for them, former lives being decapitated by ravaged animals. Suddenly Buck felt very angry. He was going to destroy these bloody pests. He threw down his bike and pulled of the rusting wheels, which were pretty much flat by now anyway. He ran towards the petrol station and filled the tire with not air, but gasoline. When both were full he pulled out his pistol, loaded it and smiled. This would hurt a bit.

"Oi! You bloody scum!" screamed Buck at them. Their ears pricked up and before they could rush at him, Buck threw one of the wheels in their direction. The Raticate watched it soar towards them, confused.

Blam!

Now, Buck was a damn good shot and it took him only one shot to hit the tyre. The bullet hit the gasoline and exploded, charred bits of rubber flying everywhere. The Raticate were caught with the worst of the blast and one went down, a great smoking hole in it's gut. The others began to run at him and Buck threw the other wheel, but the rodents were smart enough to dodge to the sides and escaped the bomb.

"Oh. Oh crap!" exclaimed Buck. "Whips, give me a hand here!" he called, releasing his trusted friend. In a flash of white a massive Victreebel appeared and screeched. "Razor Leaf!" yelled Buck, and Whips sent a volley of sharp, green leaves flying at one of the Raticate, which cried in pain as it's head was sliced in two. It fell to the ground and didn't get up.

The last Raticate jumped through the air at them and was coming in fast. "Whips, maneuver 13!" called Buck, who then ran forward and jumped on top of Whips' head leaf, propelling himself into the air. With a couple of millimeters to spare the Raticate soared underneath him, and buck turned around and fired three times into the creature's flesh. It bit the dust and the battle was over.

"Haha, good work Whips!" laughed Buck as he began to walk back towards it. "Guess that military training paid of - NO!" Buck screamed as an unseen Raticate sprung out and bit Whip's on his yellow and green spotted belly. Whips roared in pain and used Leaf Blade, throwing the Raticate off. Buck took aim and shot it in the air, and that was the end of it.

"Whips!" Buck ran over to the Pokemon and caught it as it fell over. The bite mark was deep and blood was seeping through the holes. As Buck watched, a sickly color began to spread from the wound, infecting Whips. All Buck could do was stare as, yet again, someone close to him died.

And in the distance Buck thought he heard a cruel, sadistic laugh...

Chapter 2

Crazy Comes and Crazy Goes

Post 1

The laughing begins to draw nearer; you ready your weapon hoping to find the source of the hideous laugh. One thing you forgot though, was your pokemon and suddenly it begins to attack you. There's nothing more you can do for it now, you go to deliver the final blow to it when suddenly out of nowhere a hooded caped figure tackles your pokemon to the ground.

"Return it to it's pokeball now!!" The hooded figure shouts as you have no idea what's going on but do not hesitate returning it. After calming down you begin asking the person just who they are. However you do not receive any straight answers.
"You do not have much time, once the virus spreads throughout your pokemon fully the pokeball won't be able to contain it… The only chance you have is taking it to the spring" The man begins to utter as he pulls out a small knife and begins carving meat off the dead raticates bones. Right away you think this guy is nuts and just blubbering on about nothing.

"The other trainers who left with you, they've suffered the same fate with there pokemon… I know because I told them the same thing I'm telling you, there is still light in this darkness, it's very dim but there is light" The man utters again still chewing away at the Raticate meat.

"Light…Righteousness… Heroics….Savior… Justice…" he begins uttering these words over and over again.

"MWAHAH" the laugh returns this time closer then ever and the hooded figure dashes off but gives one last warning.

"He who has been lost, shall return in the form of pure darkness" and with that he dashes off, and the laughing dies down. Even though you think the man may have been a crazy loon you realize he did give you one thing, a food source.. With that you round up all the raticates you killed and begin trudging back towards the direction of the camp.

End of post 1.

Post 2

The walk back to camp had been a long one; however you had yet to encounter any more wild pokemon.

As you approach the gates of the camp you begin to wonder about how much longer your pokemon had, and maybe if that guy hadn't been all that crazy…

The gates open up in and the guards welcome you back, you are led back to Scythes tent where you find the rest of the trainers waiting for Scythe to come in. You notice that each of them seem just as distraught as you, and there all carrying dead raticates which also lead to believe that the man wasn't lying.

"Welcome back, I see you were all successful in finding food" Scythe exclaims, as each of you begin to tell him what happened.

"He who has been lost, shall return in the form of pure darkness, what can that mean exactly… that one phrase it sounds like something, no never mind it can't be that" Scythe says as he begins pacing around back and fourth.

"As for your pokemon, I am sorry but were going to have to destroy them so they cannot escape and spread the virus in the camp, as for this spring we will figure out what to do come morning, go get some rest and bring your infected pokemon back to me in the morning" Scythe says as he leaves the tent and with that you return to yours for a much deserved sleep.

The night went like any normal night, but fate wouldn't let it end that way.

"Attention, this is Scythe Rainer your camp leader speaking, we are having an emergency please stay in your tents and ready any weapons you have with you" Scythe shoutes over the loud speaker as the camp lights on the light poles flash on. You grab your weapon and pokemon and run outside to see the guards and Scyther standing at the gates of the camp as pounding can be heard on the outside of it.

All of you run to his side and ask whats going on.

"You were followed here, they tracked the scent" Scythe yells as you begin to question who did when suddenly the camp gates blast open and a bunch of fully evolved zombie pokemon burst through. Many people were about to die, and it was now just about your own survival.

Each of you will fight the below pokemon I assign you:

IceFireLightning:

After you finish off the battle you look around to see camp refugees screaming, some being dragged off into the darkness of the wild, some laying dead. The final sight you see is Scythe running through a Heracross with his sword slicing it in half, and with that final image all the lights in the camp shut off and all the screaming and wild noises go silent.

Miharu stood in her normal sword fighting stance as the sound of laughter steadily grew nearer. The laughter started ringing through her ears and echoing in her head, seemingly unable to stop or get quieter. As Miharu focused more on the sound of laughter, she almost was unable to catch the motion of the Iron Tail that was going to hit where her head had been. As it was, the Iron Tail made a slight cut on her cheek which bled sluggishly trickled down her cheek.

That's a sign of dehydration, thought Miharu absently before dodging another strike to her head.

Miharu grimaced when she noticed that it was Flygon that was attacking her.

Damn it, I didn't know that it would be affected by this so fast. Usually it would take a little bit more time.

Miharu dodged another blow to her head before steeling herself inwardly to having to kill her pokemon, practically her family now.

Suddenly, Miharu notices a hooded capped figure run towards the scene and tackling Flygon to the ground.

"Return it to it's pokeball now!" shouts the hooded figure as he begins to wrestle Flygon.

At the authority in his voice, Miharu immediately returned Flygon to his pokeball before finally noticing what she was doing and started cursing.

I thought I got rid of that urge or authority figures when I was living in the refugee camp!

As the situation started to sink in, Miharu's attention snapped back towards the man who had enough authority in his voice to make Miharu immediately listen to him without thinking.

Deciding to go into the direct way of getting answers, Miharu bluntly asks, "Who the hell are you?"

"You do not have much time, once the virus spreads throughout your pokemon fully the pokeball won't be able to contain it… The only chance you have is taking it to the spring," said the cloaked man as he pulls out a small knife and cuts off the Raticate meat off it's rotting bones.

"What spring?" asked Miharu. "What are you talking about?"

"The other trainers who left with you, they've suffered the same fate with their pokemon… I know because I told them the same thing I'm telling you, there is still light in this darkness, it's very dim but there is light," said the man, apparently deciding to ignore Miharu's questions.

What? Has their pokemon been infected too?

"Light…Righteousness… Heroics….Savior… Justice…" he begins uttering these words over and over again.

I'm pretty sure this guy is slightly insane...Or at least, more insane than normal as everyone is slightly insane.

Miharu tensed as she heard the laughter ringing into her ears as she saw the cloaked man run off before leaving his words echoing in Miharu's brain;

"He who has been lost shall return in the form of pure darkness..."

As the man disappears, Miharu's eyes watched him go as her mind is rattling with thoughts.

He who has been lost shall return in the form of pure darkness...What the **** is that supposed to mean? Is that, or is it not a prophecy?

As Miharu gathered the Raticate meat and began trudging back to camp, she had one thought running across her mind;

I blame Scythe for getting me into this mess.
