i also think Photoshop has a free trial..
or you can go to the library to rent out a disk or something..

GIMP? It's not too bad, but it takes getting used to. I use Paint, Paintshop Pro 7, and Photoshop 7, and I've used Pixia, Paint.NET, and GIMP. Out of those, GIMP rates 4th.
