So, right now I don't want to just promote speculation, but also some fan works as well. Because this shipping is still young, it's better to be discussing as a fandom, rather than the canon, which of course we can't help but speak about the charming moments like Iris rescuing Ash and those two in the spring.

I almost cried due to all the shippiness in that episode, I swear.

Seeing as there aren't many Negaishipping fan-fics, I'll just be off to plan one. Except I might need Dento's personality first, but it shouldn't be hard to predict.

Also, shame on you all, we are barely a page and everyone else is a good 10 pages and more in the other forums >__>

I'd like to discuss fanwork as well, but, er, I haven't really run accross anything yet. ^^;;

Actually, that was complete BS. Iris is a jungle girl. But that actually was much better for Negaishipping than the Communicative Powers rumor. Because Iris is Genki~ She's like Misty, but she'd actually be fun to be around.

I hope to see more moments for this couple. I would love to write a fanfic for them too.

That' be damn nice. But if I were you, I'd wait to analyze Dent's personality just to make it a bit more realistic.
 
I'm really loving this ship, all the scenes they've had so far have been really cute. Favorite scenes so far...

Ash/Iris arguing over who's following who
Iris saving Ash and them holding each other like that
Iris blushing like crazy around Ash in the past few episodes
Iris looking dreamly at Ash in episode four

I can't wait for episode five either, cuz Iris will clearly root for Ash when he faces the gym leaders.
 
I wanted to ask, where did the name "Negaishipping" come from?

Is it Japanese for something?
 
Negai is Japanese for "wish", obviously enough derived from Best Wishes. I still remember the other notable candidates were Kuipershipping and Gambatteshipping (Japanese for good luck, I think). I personally preferred Kuipershipping because of it's creative derivation. But the poll used by Bulbagarden was not on a well developed polling site and a lot of cheating was racing from all candidates. But that was a while ago so the name is stuck.
 
Hello! :D Since I need to make it up to you for being inactive, I'm gonna join this group. /jk Hehe, I really think that the fact how we got so many hints really shows that we won't be missing out on Negaishipping in some occasions.

Iris is cute, Ash is cute, why not make them a couple? Huh, who's with me? :P

I've noticed tons of people support this ship every where, its pretty popular. No one seems to be against it, with Pearlshipping I remember every one would try to find faults with it and say which moment was canon or not. With Negaishipping that doesn't seem to be happing, in fact its intresting a lot of people who support other ships like this one, which hasn't happened like that before.

The heck? I did know what you meant by minions LOL. What I mean is, I go into the shipping thread myself, I've seen some crazy ideas. Oh heck, I'll name a few, some one said some thing about shipping Dento with his brothers :embarrass Now I admit some of the things they say over in my topics can be a bit crazy though LOL.
