FireRed hack: Personal Fire Red

New Update:
- Made some HM field effect to be faster
- Made some HM field effect to be usable without teaching any Pokémon
- Revert the "match highest level" change for Champion rematch, created another trainer battle that serves as the superboss instead
- Updated DexNav menu text
- Improved Cape Brink tutor (now can teach to Johto starters, and choose from party to show her a Pokémon)

Hahah, the super boss is great. Have you considered using his Beta team from the original RBY files?

Really hoping to hear some update news. Would love to see the remaining Megas, Nature Mints and maybe access to the Ability Patches/Capsules a little earlier than the Sevii Islands.

Oh, I was not aware of the beta team, which is so cool! But I think I will keep the team I created.

Sorry about the Megas and Nature Mints, I still haven't been able to figure them out yet. But a tiny number of Ability items will be available earlier.
The changes will be available in the next update.

New Update:
- Fixed Trainer Tower Oak's movements
- Added Shiny Stone, Dusk Stone, Dawn Stone, Ice Stone to Celadon Dept Store
- Since TM16, TM20, TM33 are obtainable from the Celadon thirsty girl, the items in Silph and Two Island now contain Ability items and Berry instead.

The link Says it's invalid. So do you maybe have a Mega file or a Mediafire file or something?
Let me try to set up Pages download one more time (hopefully not getting banned this time lol)

Small Update: Made Flash and Waterfall usable without teaching any Pokémon. Currently only Fly and Surf need to be teached.

- Updated Gym Leader Giovanni's Pokémon
A random question. Giovanni has two Rhyhorn in FRLG (probably a mistake), one being his ace. Can you justify having two unevolved Pokemon and one of them being an ace (usually, the ace is always evolved if there's already an unevolved form of it, e.g., in RGB, Giovanni had Rhyhorn and Rhydon)?

I agree. I think Giovanni's team is pretty odd. I would even say Rhyperior makes a lot more sense considering he's not only the Rocket Boss but also the final gym leader.

FRLG didn't have Rhyperior, but Giovanni could've kept Rhydon, but didn't. It seems like a coding mistake or something. That's why I want a justification about having two unevolved Pokemon while one of them being the ace.

I think I finally found a justification. Rhyhorn learns Megahorn (the last move learnt by it in gen 3) at level 57, while Rhydon learns that at 66. I'm not sure if Giovanni knows the learnset of Rhyhorn, but I believe he definitely knows that Pokemon learn moves sooner if they're not evolved too soon. I think he kept his ace unevolved just to make sure that if it can learn more moves sooner.

New Update:
- Made both Helix Fossil and Dome Fossil to be obtainable
- Made unchosen starters to be obtainable
- Made Move Tutors repeatable (all three starters can learn their ultimate moves)
Hi, How do you obtain the unchosen starter pokemon? Do you grab it off the desk?

I've encountered a bug, but couldn't see anywhere to check if it had been reported.

1. When in rock tunnel when trying to use dexnav it says it's too dark to use
2. I then thought to teach a Pokémon flash to see if that would work and my game froze, tried a few times with the same results

I have confirmed the bug.
It is caused by the auto-flash I tried to implement, seems like the auto-flash messed the variables that interact with the dexnax and the actual flash. :(

For now, the only fix I can think of is to remove the auto-flash feature.

Edit: Thank you for reporting the bug!

Small Update: Due to game-breaking bug caused by the auto Flash feature, I created this small update to remove it while still keeping the Waterfall improvement intact. Waterfall is still usable without teaching any Pokémon, but now Flash need to be teached.

Currently Flash, Fly and Surf need to be teached.
