3rd Gen Pidgey in Pokémon Emerald?

Hello dear Pokémon fans!
I'm really new here, and I have a simple question. Is Pidgey available in Pokémon Emerald?

Unfortunately, no. Pidgey is I think only available in FireRed and LeafGreen. You can however find two bird Pokemon like it in Emerald Version, Taillow and Swablu. Both are decent Pokemon.

Taillow is Hoenn's Pidgey. Well actually, it's more of the "improved Spearow" type, what with the lack of bulk and focus on Speed/Attack.

There's plenty of neat flying types in the game though, there's a reason why one Gym is flying.

Spearow is better than Taillow.
