Hey Im kinda new but I have a sprite I want someone to rate. I made for my friend.

I'd like on my from scratch, yes i mean from scratch Flamedramon Head, if you don't know what Flamedramon is watch Digimon Season 2.

Yes i know i didn't do the yellow line on his mask, i'll do that after.

I made a evolved form of perappu.Please rate.

They both look nice.. you used pidgey and pidgeotto as a base didnt u? anyway.. the only complaints I can make are tht the shading on the new 4th gen is wrong.. for some reason u have the top of his head darker than the rest.. light source should come from the top..

I also looked at the combo pic of the two and I noticed they have a combined total of 50+ colours.. devide that by two because they dont have the same pallette and u have at least 25 colours each.. Pokemon sprites or trainer sprites are not suppose to have more than 16 colours including the used transparency..

they look really nice but people of the things said they dont look right..

ur evo looks nice aswell but its needs alittle work on the outline..

3/5 for the first, 2/5 for the second..

Your Flamedramon head is really good, especially since you made it from scratch. Now you just need to draw the rest of his body. (I also watch Digimon ;))

Out of curiosity, I checked the amount of colors in that sprite. I got 16 colors exactly. At least three colors in the pallette provided there are duplicate colors. :/

With that said, though, my way of thinking for sprites is this: unless you're trying to duplicate exactly what the advanced games did, and/or you're making a sprite for a game which allows for only a set amount of colors, then there's not really any reason to limit yourself to exactly 16 colors.

The outlines need to be recolored, definitely...the original brown from the pidgey and pidgeotto are still showing. In the case of pokemon-styled sprites, outline colors should always match the colors they're outlining (in this case, dark blue should be outlining blue, dark green for the green, etc). Black should not be used as an outline color unless it's used in the areas where the darkest shades on the sprite would be.

It's a good scratch sprite...I would suggest going back and making sure the outline is only one pixel thick all the way around, though, as that would make it look cleaner.
