Pixel Project: Revamp Yellow

I don't talk better to the majority of people, except those who produce a really stunning piece of work, or people like Adaigo, who is always, always willing to better her work. You could learn a lot from her.

If you fix the shading on Chanseys egg I'll accept it, because it;s not a bad revamp.

Wigglytuff looks really rough around the edges and the shading is too blocky.

Dratini barely has any shading =/.

I know, I know, but I always get demotivated when, well, somebody gone and edited my work on the thread i'm replying to. I got a little defensive, I mean, it's happened twice (once here and once on the PokeChao thread), so yeah.

Chansey and the Tuff are looking a lot better, chanesy's outlining could do with a bit more highlighting. Wigglytuff's little curl could use some refining too.

I don't want to sound mean, but it's probably best if you drop Dratini for now and focus on the other 2.

I'm working on Venomoth now- getting annoyed with removing the colours, there's too much dark purple XD

What i find easiest is to go over the general outline with default red and default blue to give you an idea of shape, keep it to one pixel length and use the two colours to separate areas like eyes. Empty everything in the sprite then I redo the outline in black, add my darkest colours, then main shade, then highlights, lastly I do outline touch up and highlighting, I dunno if this way will be easier for you or not, but I find it reduces the stress a lot.

Okay, well you either didn't like or didn't see my Haunter (since you didn't say anything about it), so I did the infamous Dratini instead. I made its body skinnier, I colored it (of course), gave it different shading, the works.

Crap! I knew I forgot to add something last update. Your Mankey made it in, really sorry that i missed it out.

Your Kingler needs a fair bit of work, shading and outlining are the main issues.

Allright Horsea is done. Was surpisingly hard, had to change a LOT of the anatomy but I kinda like end product. As usual I have issues with shading so if anybody wants to tidy it up I'd be eternally grateful! Anyways behold!

^ That's a poor attempt at a recolor, not a revamp.

On topic:
I think I might try one. My shading skills need some practice. Not sure what I want to do yet, so I won't reserve anything until I actually start on it.

Anyway, good job on this project. This is probably the highest quality project in this forum. XD
