One time when I was playing Crystal, I was catching Pokemon on Route 16 and then went to the PokeCenter. I wasn't really paying attention, but then I saw the nurse say "your pokemon look healthy to me" or something. Very confused, I looked at them and they had PKRS! Too bad my EVs were full. XP

Am I the only one who never knew that PKRS existed way back then? oO Or does everyone know that, and I look like an idiot now? :P

Er... I read on the 'net you could get it in Gold and Silver, but I had no idea it was still being included in the games... o_O

It's in both G/S/C and R/S/E. I got it on my Gold and my Crystal...

what is this PKRS?? one of my pokemon had it on my silver game.

Nope, it was prevalent in GSC as well. The concept is the same though, although EV training was vastly improved in RSE. What PKRS does is it causes the infected Poke to earn twice the amount of EV points as normal. It only lasts a day (ending at midnight, IIRC), but since it is a virus, you can infect other Pokes in your party with it just by having them next to the Poke that has it. You can also deposit the infected Poke into your PC and the virus will spread to all of the Pokes in there.

Pokérus was first introduced in GSC, sweeties. It's a "virus" that you're Pokémon will catch radomly. Once they get it, the EV they earn will double. =3

Edit: shanecdavis beat me too it. XD

I knew about it in the G/S/C days, but, for the longest time, I thought it was just another stupid rumour. I still haven't seen it in any of my Metal-gen games. I only ever saw it 400 hours into my Sapphire while on the hunt for a shiny Seviper.

Cool, thanks you guys, I was just so surprised when I got it, it's just a shame that I found it after I had beaten the game. Then again, I put several Pokerus Pokemon in my PC trying to spread it to the others and it didn't work. =/

Oh, so THAT'S what PKRS did...I always wondered about that, since nobody on my team ever caught it. It doesn't really matter to me, since I'm not really an EV trainer...but good to know. Thanks.

You can use it with Macho Brace to get 4x EVs to max things out, if your training manually.

LOL Just getting through the 25 character limit.

BTW - PKRS worked the same in GSC as it does in RSE/FRLG, as I have previously explained. We just didn't have a lot of the raw data about it like we do now. I cannot remember who exactly came across the info in the first place, but I know I was VERY greatful they did.

I've never got it or heard of it before...
Now at least I know that if I get it, its a virus...
but does it do to your Pokemon?
It seems pretty well liked to be a Virus....

it was in GSC, i've known that since...I got GSC. I think you get it mainly from wild Yanma.
