Plague [PG-16]

"No, it's quite alright. I can always fix it later," said Yui.

Penny sighed a little in relief. 'Finally, someone who doesn't make me try and repay them when I break their things. I only be accident... most of the time.'

Yui glanced at the ceiling, causing Penelope's eyes to dart there as well. As if on cue – which it probably was – the door retracted, opening up the view of the sky. Any signs of the storm were gone, other than the light breeze which was now wafting through the building – or the front room in any case. It was rather relaxing. This whole scene felt nothing like it had done a few minutes ago. The dark storm clouds had mostly faded, even if the sky was still a little grey. The smell of rotting flesh had vanished, although Penny had noticed that as soon as they had teleported here. If Penny hadn't known any better, she would have quite openly stated what a nice day it was today. But at that, the hallucination faded. Penny couldn't afford to be drowned in thoughts of home and her own self pity. Now was a time for action. Rook positioned himself under the opened roof, and knelt down slightly allowing Penny and Yui to clamber up.

"Don't worry, since I have flying Pokemon I have a retractable roof for easy access to the sky." She smiled at Penny for a second. "Shall we get going?"

Penelope nodded. "'Course." Taking a short run up, Penny near enough leapt onto Rook's back, although it was fairly easy as he was leaning to the side making clambering up much easer. "All aboard!"

Waiting for Yui to climb up too, Rook let out a deafening roar, and then flapped his wings a little. Rook was obviously just getting a feel for his new form. Most others would find that a little unnerving, but Penny had always thought that it made the whole trip an awful lot more exciting. Within seconds, Rook had shot upwards through the roof. It was more of a jump really, as he landed on the roof for a brief second before taking full flight. This was a much different experience than from riding Rook as a Fearow. Then he had seemed an awful lot more flimsy, as if a gently breath of wind could snap his wings into pieces. But now – as a Salamence – it looked as if Rook could crash into a building and remain unharmed. The building would probably topple over, but that was a different story. Penny glanced around for a few moments, wondering which direction to go.

"So, any preferred direction?" Penny yelled to both Yui and Rook.

Rook shook his head, showing that he didn't really mind. "Salamence!"

Yui Uchiha

Yui climbed onto Rook's back and they took off, Yui started grinning. She had always loved flying, although she trusted her own pokemon more. When Penelope asked for a preferred direction, Yui closed her eyes and allowed the wind to guide her to where Penelope wanted to go; where her parents were. The wind slowly directed her to the north. Having gotten her information, Yui opened her eyes and smiled.

"North, perhaps?"

Yui made no sound what-so-ever for the next few seconds, and Penny had started to wonder whether she had actually clambered about the lumbering Salamence that she knew as Rook. Penny glanced behind for a moment just to check, and Yui was indeed there, her eyes closed and seemingly deep in though. She looked rather relaxed for someone who – if she leant in one direction – could quite easily plummet to her death. Yui's eyes flicked open for a second, and she then smiled.

"North perhaps?"

Penny nodded slightly, and then turned her head back forward. "Okay, you're the boss. Rook, go... um..." she glanced back to Yui. "Any idea which was is north? Aww, screw it. Rook, just go straight ahead."

Luckily, that was north, even if Penny didn't know it. Penelope herself took the time to examine the ground which was many, many metres below the three of them. Scenes of chaos were apparent, although most of it seemed to have subsided. Rubble was quite common now that the hurricane had hit, and had probably torn down half of the city knowing the force it was going at. Other than that, the occasional pack of zombie wandered the streets, although they took no notice of Penny, Yui and Rook. They must have been smart enough to hold up in one of the buildings. Just that thought sent a shiver down the girl's spine. They had done something intelligent. Hidden from the perfect storm so that they could later head out to feed. They were become more sentient by the moment, which meant that fighting them would be a whole lot harder... perfect.

Assira

She grinned, a quick flash of teeth. As soon as the boy's blade flashed towards her, she had her knife tickling his ribcage. "Assira." She purred as introduction. "It was terribly sweet of you to catch those knives for me, though quite unnessecary. I've deemed you worthy of my attention, thus chose to have an encounter of sorts. Satisfied?" Her nature allowed nothing except bravado, but for the first time in her life, she actually wanted to belong to a group. Whatever the outcome, she would not prove to be incompetent by allowing someone to catch her off guard with a weapon.

Odessa Stocks:

"So you're lonely but don't want to admit it?" Odessa said, more a statement then a fact, "feel free to join, but don't think your better then us" she said, a dark undertone to her voice.

Psychic:

"Ahhh, the mission you won't tell me about then? I have to practice the fine art of patience for now" Psychic said, "but thats just as well, a little time to catch my breath before the firestorm of actions that must be for my own purposes to be fulfilled" she said.

Her hair trembled, as if in amusement before resuming its usual sway. "I would never presume such a thing." She suppressed a small grin. "May I have introductions or are you going to try and kill me?" This was the right decision. "and what are your talents pray tell?" Like she hadn't figured out most of them. "I assume that guitar releases some sort of weapons, yes? On the contrary, my 'mission' would be to kill the a*ssholes preventing leave and to hunt down the fools who came up with this idea if they still yet live."

Odessa Stocks:

"Miharu" she gestured towards Miharu, "Has many weapons, and knows how to use them, Raike" gesture to Raike, "Has the sword and some knives, and Sky" gesture to Sky, "Has a transforming guitar. As for me, I have Silva" she pointed to Silva the Raichu with a blue tail, gray eyes, small for Raichu size, on top of Odessa's head "along with other weapons I won't say because I like keeping secrets" she said.

Miharu Mizushima

Miharu waved slightly to Assira. There was something odd about her, something that still made her instincts scream at her. Whatever it was, she wouldn't let her guard down. Before anyone could blink, she took back her knives from Raike and allowed the knives to "disappear". In the next second, she was standing back where she was, except her senbon was gone. "That is not my only talent, Odessa-chan."

Yui Uchiha Clone 1

Yui shrugged. "I have two missions. One is to protect Miharu-chan and her friends. The other is the secret I'm keeping. Now, do you want me to stay with you while you perform such actions, or would you wish to be left "alone"." Yui smiled. "I think you know exactly what I mean."

Raike Destan
---------------
-Raike made a "tsk" sound with his tongue, removing his blade and sheathing it once more. He did not like the girl, she was arrogant. Arrogance didn't agree with Raike, so he tended to stay away from people like that. Under the circumstances, he was forced to let go of his little grudge, because they all needed to survive. Fighting among themselves wouldn't do much, scept maybe get them killed. He spoke to her, just as coldly as he had before, this time intending it.-

" You are lucky I deemed you worthy of keeping your head, before I charged. I'm going to be flat out with you. I tend to not get along with arrogant people, so we might have a few... skirmishes. You should fix that attitude before you try talking to me again... that is all I will say for now."

- Raike turned his back on the girl, heading back to his spot by Miharu, replacing his emotionless mask once again. He turned to Odessa and arched an eyebrow-
" You like keeping secrets, but you think it fair to reveal the secrets of others? What sence does that make?.... It matters not, as you have not yet seen all of my "talents." Nor have you seen the rest of Sky's"

- Raike sneezed, before muttering something under his breath.-
" Someone is talking about me..."

- Just as he said this, Sky sneezed also, twice-

" And aparently him also"

Odessa Stocks:

"Look at it this way, only four being here I sincerely care about keeping alive and two of them are me and Silva, everyone else I hope stay alive but by revealing their own secrets I increase my own odds of survival should someone decide to go crazy and kill us all" she explained, a little amusement in her voice, "or maybe I keep things secret because I know that those secrets may affect the future in ways I would not wish for it to be affected" she said.

Psychic:

"I would think your trying to threaten me with the 'alone' statement, I would not be alone, I would have MewZ with me." Psychic said, "unless you wish to kill me for her, which really wouldn't help either since my death would mean the death of every psychic Pokemon their is" she said coldly.

Raike Destan
---------------

" I know you're from the future and all, but right now I think you're just trying to give us all mind****. I have a feeling if someone goes crazy here it will be because you pysched them out. And since you know about the future and you knew about this epidemic, why not come back in time to a point before this whole thing and prevent the other two mystery people from entering Balice?"

-Raike was beginning to feel really wierd, as if his head was spinning, faster and faster as he got more worked up. No, it wasn't just his head, it was a small area around him that seemed to be... twisting and turning. He was able to calm himself down, and the distortion ended, thankfully not leaving any evidence of the warpage behind. He held a hand to his temple, wondering if he was sick or something, but no, he was fine, and he was pretty sure it wasn;t the virus either. It felt like something more... ancient...dormant. He also began to feel some sort of agression aimed at his brother, but it wasn't him, it was something inside himself... that same ancient... power, almost as if it itself were alive, growling at Sky. He was able to supress it though, and he kept this to himself-

Odessa Stocks:

"I didn't get to choose the when, the purple haired girl made that choice, why I cannot tell but I had my own reasons for wanting to come back to the past, twist some things for good purposes" Odessa paused, "and if someone does go crazy then you'll be the first person I use as a human shield" she said evilly, "unless you have someone else in mind?" she gave a small laugh, she was clearly joking about the human shield thing.

Yui Uchiha Clone 1

Yui blinked before laughing. "No, no, I'm not trying to threaten you! By the "alone" statement, I meant that my spies would still follow you so you wouldn't actually be "alone". Why would I try to kill you? That would disrupt balance too much, and I also have Katsu to worry about. Plus, I wouldn't kill you for MewZ. If MewZ wants to stay with you, she stays."

Miharu Mizushima

Miharu glanced at Raike, for some reason she could feel the spike in his power. She put a hand on Raike's shoulder.

"Is Raike alright?" she stated softly. "I felt that something was...wrong." She had said it close enough so no one other than Raike could hear.

((OOC: The bold, underline, and italics is for you people who don't read and choose to ignore it. :P NO ONE OTHER THAN RAIKE CAN HEAR. THANK YOU.))

OOC: Maybe only Raike heard it, but Odessa can read lips =P

IC:

Odessa Stocks:

Odessa saw Miharu whisper something quietly to Raike and put a hand on his shoulder, she couldn't hear but she could read lips. "Not my business" she thought to herself, "well, not yet anyways" she thought.

Psychic:

"Either way I have nothing to do for the moment, I might as well follow you around, should I stay human or transform then?" she said.

Raike Destan
---------------
-Raike whispered as silently as she had so only she could here, athough his voice seemed to waver a bit.-
"I-I'm fine... Its just...nothing... I'm not quite feeling myself at the moment..."

-He felt hot, almost like when you are on a computer for too long and it starts to heat up. He felt that happening to himself, as if his skin was warming. He was almost certain it had something to do with that spike he had just had. But just as quickly as it had come, it left, his skin cooling down almost instantly. What the hell was going on?-

Assira
She glanced at the boy called Raike and smirked. "I look forward to it." there was something boiling underneath his skin. The threat of losing control. perhaps she could help him with that- Assira was the master of it after all. "Are you alright?" she questioned softly. "This is my partner Littea." This time addressing the group. "We're at your service, well for the most part anyways." She tucked her knife in at her hip and moved to reveal the shiny Umbreon glaring boldly behind her in the shadows.

While Penny was simply going from strength to strength now that she had teamed up with Yui, things were not going quite as well for everyone in Balice, which was rather obvious by the strewn limbs and puddles of blood which could only be missed by one with closed eyes. Although the boy down on the ground moved somewhat swiftly and without a care, it was clear by his expression that he was terrified. But that was what this whole situation was, wasn't it? Terrifying. Little more, and little less. This would be no-ones idea of a good holiday. Of course, it did something to cheer the young boys spirits as a huge shadow erupted from behind him, the sun completely blocked from view. It was an amass of rocks which formed this barricade from the somewhat non-existent sun, but it was still relaxing none the less. This creature was – even if hulking rock was a good enough description – a Rhydon, the Rock/Ground type Drill Pokemon. The boy in question? Just a small, tired kid from Celestic Town trapped in this paradise-turned-hell-hole that was Balice, now the city of zombies. How had it come to this? Things in Balice were no longer peaceful. Every day brought hunger, exhaustion, and often death to the survivors. The stood no chance against the increasing horde of zombie monsters. But some had managed to stay alive, often with their Pokemon. Cal and Kel were two of those people, even if the later was a Rhydon. The sky was grey – splattered with clouds, the pavement was red – drenched in blood. It made Callum Abbot want the vomit. He had done multiple times over the past few days, but he had learnt to at least stop himself from gagging so much now. Food was scarce, and he needed to keep as much down him as he could. Never the less, the two were aimlessly wandering the streets, searching for a shop which had yet to be burgled, or a house with working electricity. Both of those were unlikely, especially considering the recent storm which had happened not five minutes ago. At least this meant that the roads were a little safer than they had been. Only a little.

"Rhydon..." grumbled Keldia, as her heavy footprint drew a path for Callum to follow. He was still young, and she needed to protect him. Its what her trainer would have wanted.

Cal coughed and wheezed slightly, before taking in a breath and jogging closer to Kel. "You think any of these buildings might have anything in them?" he asked hopefully, as he eyes darted to each and every tower of concrete nearby.

The Drill Pokemon lowered its head, and then shook it slowly. By the looks of things, the buildings nearby were in the worst state in the whole city. Towering sky-scrappers had been reduced to little more than rubble, with everything inside crushed. The buildings which still stood – of which there were very few – looked to be mostly houses or shops, and not the kind in which you could find food. Clothes shops were rather common at this point, which both Cal and Kel wished they could be replaced by a grocery, or simply a corner shop. Fresh fruit and vegetables would be a dream right about now, even if ordinary life took them for granted. Even these few thoughts on food had brought Callum back to life at home, back in Sinnoh. Did the others know about what was happening here? Was anyone sending help, or would the survivors have to fight their own way out...? What if the zombies had escaped, and were terrorising the local towns? Callum really didn't want to think about that, and within seconds he had once again vomited. It stung his throat, a combination of the generally acidity of it and his dry mouth from some level of dehydration. If they didn't get food now, both human and Pokemon alike would die...

That was if the zombies didn't get there first.

ooo

Back up in the skies above Balice, things were going just as they had been. In others words, they had found nothing. Yui hadn't seemed to have spoken much, although by the sound of the wind as Rook tore through the skies was rather loud. Balice could have been hit by a missile and she wouldn't have noticed it. Well, at least that would have gotten rid of those zombies and made landing much safer.

'It would have also killed off any part of your remaining family...'

Ok, maybe a missile wasn't the best idea, but Rook could probably cause some damage. Dragon Pokemon were known for being tough, and Penny had often tried to catch one herself. Obviously, that had all resulted in failure. Still, she had Rook, who could quite easily Transform into a Dragon type if one was close enough. Still, it wasn't quite as good as the real thing, but now that Rook had become a Salamence, Penny really didn't care. This time she meant it. She was fine now. If it wasn't for the gentle wisp of smoke which rose into the sky a while off, then Penelope might have thought she was simply on a morning stroll. Provided that stroll was a good few hundreds metres off of the ground of course. Penny pointed to the trail of smoke.

She chuckled slightly. "Someone left the barbecue on," Penny joked. "Wanna go check it out?"

At those words, Rook took a tight turn heading in that direction. Penelope chuckled to herself once more. Her words had made it sound like Yui had a choice in this matter. She's have to apologise for that later. Smoke was a sure sign of fire, or at least the absence of it. That either meant a gathering of humans who had created a fire, or that one o the buildings had recently become engulfed in flames. Either was an interesting enough reason to go.

Raike Destan
--------------

-Raiked sighed, there were once again two umbreon's in the group. He hadn't let Raven out in a LONG time, so she would probably fuss a bit. It was for her own protection anyway, he wouldn't be able to go on if she died, literally. Raven was still his catalyst, and his mind was tied to her life. If she died, he would go insane, one of the many conditions of being a shifter. It also came with prolonged life. He removed his pokeball from his belt, it was colored dark red and black instead of the regular red and white. He whispered something to it before tossing it up and releasing Raven, who stretched and yawned, glaring at Raike. In his mind he received a bombardment of angry messages from her, but she soon saw that he was already overloaded and calmed down. She then looked over to the newcomer and her shiny umbreon. She didn't seem to like the pair, but she didn't hate them either; it was a start.- "This is Raven" -He said weakly- "my own umbreon. And I am fine Assira."

Yui Uchiha

Yui glanced at Penelope. "If you are not going to listen to my opinion, then don't make it sound like I have a choose in the matter." Yui glanced down at the smoke. She could feel someone; someone that had a similar aura to Penelope. She hoped that Penelope could be able to find the family that she was looking for.

Yui Uchiha Clone 1

Yui shrugged. "Honestly, I shouldn't be going anywhere. After all, would it not be weird if there are two of me running about? I suppose I could always change my appearance..." Yui shifted her appearance. She now looked as she had when she had teleported Odessa to Psychic. "If you don't want Odessa to recognize you, perhaps you should change your appearance. Although, me looking like this may let Odessa to conclude it is you. I was just going to go hang out with Miharu-chan." Yui glanced at MewZ. "Perhaps we should hide her as well."

Miharu Mizushima

Miharu couldn't help but chuckle at the sight of an Umbreon. "Of course there is an Umbreon. Of course." Miharu patted Raike's shoulder, feeling heat coming from his skin. As quickly as she felt it, it cooled down. She wondered if Raike's "powers" had anything to do with the energy she felt within herself, stirring at the moment beneath the surface.

Odessa Stocks:

"So we have two umbreon, one a catalyst for shifter Raike and one shiny. Both exceptionally unique, to bad Josh doesn't have his catalyst, but she is back with Alissa, is she not?" Odessa said mischievously.

Josh Stocks:

Josh was a little shocked at hearing his fiancée's name, much less the correct information about Odessa, his catalyst and umbreon, being with her. He quickly rationalized that she was from the future and would know these things, "Yes, yes she is. Although it is kind of creepy that you know all that." he said, then fell back into silence.

Psychic:

"Following Miharu then? I won't need to transform after all, and MewZ will stay with me, let the group think of it as they will but may any god they think of help them should they try to harm her" Psychic said darkly. MewZ floated by Psychic, "So we're finally going somewhere?" she said, a mix of eagerness and caution in the voice of her minds-eye, Psychic smiled, "Yes, yes we are" she replied telepathically.
