Plague [PG-16]

"Alright, I'll go with you." stated Yui. It was good that Penny wouldn't be doing this alone. "You have somewhere you need to be, right? Something that is more important to you than your safety. As for the army thing, they can't risk anyone else being infected by the disease. Even the champion of Kanto is here."

Penny raised an eyebrow. "The Champion? Wow. I don't really know who that would be in all honesty, but I'm sure the Champion wouldn't face too many problems with this."

It was rather true. The Champion of a region is darn-near impossible to defeat. This kind of epidemic was probably a joke to him or her, simply batting away the zombies with a flick of the wrist, followed by a stream of fire or a spiral of electricity. Such an easy way to get by in this current situation. Although this thought of Champions did bring back a few memories for Penny though. She had never battled the Sinnoh Champion, or met her in person, but watching the fights certainly was a great deal of inspiration for the young girl to start her own journey. But isn't it the same for everyone? The dream of one day become so famous yourself? It was for the trainers at least, even more for the co-ordinators, which was never something that Penny herself had found too interesting. Battling was her thing, even if Penelope never quite took it that seriously. Where was the fun if you couldn't think of a battle as less of a mindless bloodbath and more of a cheerful game much like tag. Nope, it was gone completely.

"And yes, I guess I have places to go. Although to be honest, your guess is as good as mine on where that's supposed to be."
 
Odessa Stocks:

"Orrr" Odessa said, drawing the word out, "the same tech their using to keep us in is keeping the storm in, which wouldn't surprise me since weather could effectively transport the virus through the air." she said, "so maybe they have purposely isolated the weather to prevent further contamination of outlying areas" she said. It made perfect sense to her, why did the storm have to be such a big deal, sometimes nature just liked to rage, a legendary didn't have to be the source of all this, and Odessa highly doubted that one was.

SUPRIZE EVENT!!!!
The storm has abated [YAY!!]
But now a new trouble has arisen[death looks from everyone]
The zombies are now EXPLOSIVE[someone throws a brick at my head, it misses]
Bricks aside, the now weather ravaged city is now filled with exploding zombies[Someone yells 'I'LL KILL YOU IN YOUR SLEEP YOU SADISTIC BASTARD']
Be careful, besides from blowing your own dumb-ass up the zombies can take down one of the many, many skyscrapers surrounding the city, effectively crushing you in the inevitable falling of debris with 'oh god the PAIN!!!' and such
I'll put up a small demonstration post of the explosive zombies later on with a random NPC in front of the safe house.
Until that post though, clean up from the storm, until the demonstration post zombies are still just 'normal' unholy brain-munching zombies[Someone struggles through the crowd with a bat, deadly intentions obvious]

-The screen soon cleared up, the storm seemed to end almost as soon as it had come. This perplexed Raike, making him even more suspicious of the storm.-

"Thats not right... It can't just "stop" like that... Those idiots aren't trying to find a cure. They are just spreading that damn virus all over!! Thats not all, the storm's elements may have effected the virus in some way, but I know not what way however. You know, if they did cause this storm, then they are obviously trying to ensure that the infected are 100% infected. This could be because they might have some sort of "cure" that they could use to wipe out all those unholy's at once. Or they could just be jack***es. Odessa, if you are from the future, do you know anything of this pandemic, or how we might be able to stop it?"

"Uh guys? Joe says that the storm might have blown more than just cars and chunks of ice our way... it seems it brought a few Z's our way too. They don't seem to be heading toward our housem just vomiting blood an whatnot."

"Sorry, what I do know i'm not allowed to share." Odessa said, "and just because I know you don't know this, the plague can't be cured because thats what it was meant to be in the first place, a wide-variety cure for a large multitude of diseases. The only way to 'negate' the plague would be a series of disease's that would destroy your immune system if your lucky and give you a very long, painful death if you weren't" she said.

"But enough about that, their appears to be some dude outside the window" she said, noting a figure visible outside the basement window.

Random NPC #1[Christopher]

Chris was enjoying bashing some zombie brains in, mumbling to himself excitedly, "Years, years i've wanted to do this, wanted to kill, maim... society looked down on those actions, so I persisted to put it off, AND NOW THEIR ALL DEAD" he cried gleefully, "Now I can smash in skulls and people will see it as an act of survival, but its so easy, so fun, the blood everywhere, this is reality, death, the blood, survival of the fittest and i'm the one surviving" he said, he spotted a group of people in a basement, "but these are just zombies, shadows of real people, blood of other survivors would be so much more... satisfying" he said evilly, he started towards the house. He stopped, noticing a zombie close behind him, "a little warm-up then" he said gleefully, he brought up his weapon, a blood encrusted hammer, and brought it down on the zombies head, the pronged side meant for removing nails pointed towards the zombies head. The zombies skull cracked open, then their was a sound of thunder.

Odessa Stocks:

The man turned around to smash a zombies skull in, and the spot where the man was exploded, the flash blinded Odessa for a moment, when she looked there was a smear of blood leading to where the zombie had been, fanning out towards the house an painting it with a large smear of red, "Holy s***, didn't see that coming" she commented incredulously, "So the zombies are now walking bombs now, so I assume that means we want to... maybe find somewhere with more open space, so we have more space to maneuver." Odessa suggested.

-Raike stared at the window, watching the zombie explode. There was no sign of the man who had begun walking toward the house, only blood, covering the window. He stood looking towards the window for a few seconds before turning to the group once more.-

"He wasn't going to come any closer anyway, Joe would riddled him full of holes, as for the zombies within the property, Joe will despose of them quite qu-
*BANG*
-Raike fell silent before walking over to one of the walls and banging his elbow against it three times before it fell away, revealing a dark opening about the size of the average window. A light soon appeared, gradually growing brighter until he met face to face with another man wearing a hardhat with a flashlight taped to it. Raike waved to him, and he returned it.-

"This is Nack, he'll be guiding us along the path. It's not too long, and there a few food items and drinks and first aid we stashed at the end. Lets get a move on, before one of those green dudes blows open my window. Joe... rest in peace with your daughter..."

-Raike said nothing more, but grabbed his sword and desert eagles, equipping them to his body, and motioned everyone to hurry up. He signaled to Miharu to wait a bit, as he wanted to talk with her.-

Sky Destan

-Sky grabbed his 3 guitars, his regular base guitar, his guitar hooked up with G18's, and the new one Dizzy had just finished making, making somewhat of a star on his back. Got ready to climb into the hole, but stopped and looked at Dizzy.-

"What are you doing? Aren't you coming with us? We're gonna need you.

Dizzy

-She smiled sadly and shook her head. Gesturing to her makeshift lab-

"I'm sorry Sky... but I have to stay here. I'm tired of running... this place is all I have left. Go without me.

Sky

"What?! Are you crazy? There's no way I'm leaving you here! I can't... I won't.
-Sky walked over, grabbing her arm and attempting to pull her towards the tunnel. She resisted, quite strongly, probably because of all that work making things.-
"Dizzy... no..."
Dizzy

"Yes Sky. Don't worry, you'll be fine without me."

Sky
----
"No I w-"
-He was cut off short, because at that moment, Dizzy pulled him closer, leaned in, and kissed him. It lasted only for 5 seconds, as she pulled away, and reached behind her neck, unclipping her necklace and tying it around Sky's neck, smiling.-

Dizzy

"Yes you will. Goodbye Sky, just don't forget me..."
-She then turned around, refusing to say anymore. She didn't want him to see her cry-

-A single tear rolled down his face, and hit the ground, he turned and climbed into the tunnel, saying nothing more also. He hated the zombies and the damn scientists that created them with a passion now, but all he could do at the moment was walk, and grieve. Raike looked down, saying nothing to his brother as he passed him-

Odessa Stocks:

Odessa looked at Sky as he went through the tunnel, he was crying and apparently Dizzy was going to stay in the house. Odessa looked at the 'bracelet' and sighed, she took it off and shoved it into Dizzy's hands, "I don't need it and apparently you're staying here, so I can't in sound mind leave you without some sort of protection, and this is the best available at the moment, so take it. Its simple enough to use, just put it on and think about what you want, and it should more or less appear" she said, "as for payment I think a simple 'not dying' should suffice, alright then?" she said, before starting through the tunnel without an answer. Silva went after her, "Do you think she'll actually use it" Silva asked tentatively, "She better" Odessa said sadly, then sighed, "having a conscience makes life so much more difficult" she said, intending only for Silva to hear.
 
Dizzy

-She could say nothing for a few seconds, and just as she was about to, the girl had left. She smiled, looking towards the ceiling, but seeming to see through it and into the sky. She placed the bracelet on her own wrist smiling brightly, saying something to herself.-

"Maybe I will see Sky again... Thank you Odessa. Yes... I will survive this plague."
 
Odile Sacks

Odile flew on Knight for a long time before finally Knight got to tired and flew into a building. "owch my head" he said silently. He began walking up the stairs and looked outside as a fat survivor (yea random characters XD) shot a zombie that got to close and blew up. The fat survivor couldn't be seen. Odile kept walking with Knight in his pokeball. He walked up another pair of endless stairs just to see a door. He opened it and saw a lone girl. "uh hey. what are you doing by yourself may i ask you that?"

Miharu Mizushima

Miharu glanced outside as the weather stopped quite suddenly. She saw the explosion and slightly winced. Although death surrounded her quite constantly, seeing someone exploded is never a good thing. She noticed the signal Raike gave to her and waited. When they were the only two, other than Dizzy who wanted to stay behind, left, she walked through the tunnel, second to last.

Yui Uchiha

"The current champion of Kanto is Mizushima Miharu," Yui stated. "Well, I guess one could say Miharu Mizushima instead due to the fact that Miharu is her first name..." Yui glanced outside. "The storm seemed to have stopped, although I fear something has gotten worse." Yui glanced outside just to see in time that a person, who was attacking the zombies that were trying to get inside the building, explode due to the fact that the zombie he had killed exploded. She blinked. "The zombies are explosive now, it seems we cannot kill them."

Yui Uchiha Clone 1

Yui blinked when the storm disappeared, and her fellow spies gave her new information. "What the hell? The zombies are explosive now? That...bloody insane."
 
[FONT=Century Gothic, sans-serif]Yui began to go into a somewhat in depth description of the Kanto Champion, a Miharu Mizushima apparently. Penny had never heard the name before, or at least the name didn't sound familiar. She was from Sinnoh. The two regions never really seemed to have much to do with eachother, since they were somewhat further away than Hoenn or Johto, especially the later. Penelope took another sip of her Coke, before placing it down on a table beside the sofa, and let Rook flutter up to rest on her shoulder. Although it was already hard to hear, the wind had become less noticeable in the building at the moment, which was all Penny needed to clamber up from her seat, took one last sip from her drink, and then put her jacket back on. Rook managed to cling onto her shoulder, although he hovered for a second to allow his trainer to fit the jacket back on, only to once again rest on Penny's shoulder. [/FONT]

"[FONT=Century Gothic, sans-serif]The storm seems to have stopped, although I fear something has gotten worse-" stated Yui.[/FONT]

[FONT=Century Gothic, sans-serif]Penny slowly zipped up her jumper. Even if the rain and wind had stopped somewhat, it would still be cold. "After than kind of hurricane, I seriously doubt that any of this can get any wor-"[/FONT]

"-[FONT=Century Gothic, sans-serif]The zombies are explosive now."[/FONT]

[FONT=Century Gothic, sans-serif]Penny's heart sunk at the words, and Rook sighed heavily. Explosive? Was everything out there purposely trying to get her killed? This was just become ridiculous. Has the whole world become mad? No. Penny probably had by this point, but the world was just as sane as ever. Of course, Balice was another question. Penelope brushed a strand of hair from her face.[/FONT]

"[FONT=Century Gothic, sans-serif]Whoop-de-do. I don't really care at this point." That was a lie. "Besides, Rook can always fly me around, provided we find that Fearow again."[/FONT]

[FONT=Century Gothic, sans-serif]Flight would be the best course of action other than teleportation, which Yui would probably use in all honesty. Penny would prefer flight in all honesty. Teleportation was good for getting to specific places, but Penelope had no idea where she was going. If she flew around a bit, there might be clues of some sort. Well, there was no sense in staying in here any more.[/FONT]

"[FONT=Century Gothic, sans-serif]What'cha waitin' for? Let's go!"[/FONT]
 
Yui Uchiha

"Hm, could Rook transform into something by using a picture?" Yui asked. "Because, if so, I have a picture of a Salamance that we could use. Also, Penelope needs to learn how to lie better!" Yui smiled slightly, thinking it would be better if the world would have been filled with bad liars or people who don't lie at all. But, that is not human nature, she supposed.
 
"Hmm, could Rook Transform into something by using a picture? Because if so, I've got a picture of a Salamence that we could use," suggested Yui.

Penny couldn't help but burst into laughter. The two have them had learnt that using pictures to Transform into was very hit and miss. The first time they had tried it it had worked, but then time after that went horribly, horribly wrong. That had become one weird, weird day though. Still, it was worth a shot. And besides, while a Fearow could probably only carry Penny herself, a Salamence would be able to life Penny, Yui and even her Gardevoir if she remained out of her Pokéball. So, Penelope nodded.

"Well," started Penny. "We might as well try. Just be prepared for the worst."

"Also, Penelope needs to learn to lie better."

Penny frowned slightly at the comment. "Surely that's a good thing... so where's this picture of yours then? We're goin' hunting'!"
 
Yui Uchiha

Yui chuckled. "Perhaps." She reached into her pocket and the picture of her Salamance came into her hand. "Alright, here it is."

Yui, since it seems you don't need me as of right now, I shall be heading to my pokeball.

Alright.

Katsu gently floated closer to Yui and touched her pokeball. Within the next second, she was inside of it.
 
Raike Destan

-Raike climbed through the opening, and into the dark passage. Nack lead the group, walking in front of the group and lighting the path ahead. Thankfully, there was at least room for two people to walk side by side. Raike walked up beside Miharu, pausing before beginning to speak. His voice didn't posses too much emotion, as he didn't really want to seem desperate, nor was he, but it possessed enough to show he cared. While he talked, he kept walking, facing forward, but talked loud enough for only Miharu to hear.-

"What happened to the two of us Miharu?"
 
Miharu Mizushima

Miharu paused slightly at Raike's question, before continuing walking. What did happen to the two of them? They were in a pretty good relationship, but after Arceus was defeated, they just grew apart. Miharu had become too busy with her battles, she did compete in several Pokemon Master Championships and as such was very busy. Raike had also stopped contacting her as well, and they just stopped talking; stopped contacting each other.

"We grew apart," stated Miharu. "We changed; for better or for worse I do not know."
 
Raike Destan

-Raike nodded slightly, but still wanted to find out more. He had stopped contacting her, and he began his travels once more, only every once in a while returning to Kanto to visit. It seems that when Arceus was defeated, they no longer any real reason to stick around. They had in a sense grown apart.-

"This is true, but look at us now. Once more, we are trapped in some sort of dilemma. Well to be real, we are trapped in a barrier with flesh eating versions of people, and there does not seem to be any way out. It also seems, that we were both in the city for different reasons. Do you think there would be any chance, that we could try again? After all this chaos is over, and we kick those scientists' arse's."
 
Miharu Mizushima

Miharu smiled slightly at Raike. "I would like that." Miharu paused. "But whoever said that all of us will live? I have a feeling one of us will die..."
 
Odessa Stocks:

Odessa was in a better mood now, feeling confident that Dizzy would survive, and from seeing Raike and Miharu together, "excuses excuses, they'll surprise each other one day" Silva said,this caused Odessa to break down laughing, "Perhaps, time is not set, I've already changed the past so much that while I still know the basics of this entire incident the finer details are all changed" she said, meaning only for Silva to hear. "Well, it was kind of boring expecting everything, the changes have made this trip more... exciting then. Wouldn't you agree?" she said to Silva, Silva looked at Odessa, "Very optimistic outlook, i'm looking at the changes as a higher chance of ending up..." Silva said, letting the sentence die, Odessa shrugged "Whats life without a little risk my electrified friend" Odessa said in a teasing voice. Silva replied with a angry glance, Odessa picked her up "cheer up, you know I care about you, and them, but mostly you" she said happily, "I care about you as well, crazy fool" Silva replied in a bright teasing tone, "Thats the spirit" Odessa said, before placing Silva on her head.

Psychic:

"Explosive, that is crazy, so who was the poor fool who died to learn that new bit of info?" Psychic asked.
 
Yui Uchiha Clone 1

"I don't know about poor," stated Yui, her eyes cold. "The reason why he is in this town is because he wanted to kill people and as they were zombies, he wouldn't get arrested since he could say he killed them in self defense. People like him are people I hate the most. Let him rot in the afterlife."
 
Raike Destan

-Raike released his sword from his scabbard, its golden rings shone in the cave, and the silver ring he had constructed earlier reacted to the sword, letting off its silver aura. Raike smiled, turning to look at Miharu, smiling-

"This blade, and ring says so. Even if I must risk my own life. Better for some lone traveler to die than the champion of Kanto."
