4th Gen Platinum: Was it worth it?

Yes, I would say.
Cleaner titles.
No more SLOWER-THAN-A-SLUGMA surfing anymore!

Platinum is definitely worth the money.

They really improved the game -- battles are now faster, and they added and changed a lot of things.

Many areas and Gyms received makeovers as well! Even if you already have Diamond or Pearl, Platinum can definitely still be enjoyed. :]
 
I noticed that pokemon tended to level up differently, not exactly faster, but still, I liked it. And they added Tropius! Tropius+Bibarel= all HMs. very helpful.

The only things I really wanted that I didn't get were the Battle Pike and the Battle Dome from Pokemon Emerald. But the Castle and Arcade make me feel better.
