4th Gen Playing BOTH games?

Okay... on March 14th I bought HG for myself, and SS for my brother. He hasn't even picked it up yet, and I've already beaten Red 4 times. Would it be crazy to start playing SS?

I was being pretty cheap in HG.. I traded over most of my Pokemon (at lv. 1) knowing that they'd level up faster. I feel like being more traditional in the way I play SS, if I decide to play it. What would you do? Is anybody playing both?

Really I don't see the point of getting both, since in my opinion they're both the same.. Only they have a different pokemon you can catch bettween them... But it is really up to u..

I only have HeartGold, I might get SoulSilver though.

I got one for me, one for my brother.. it made sense at the time. He doesn't seem that interested in it, so I might take it from him :P

My friend is getting both, another friend is getting HeartGold. I am getting SoulSilver.

if Curtis gets bored of his copy of HG and I get bored of SS we'll swap verisons.

I don't see anything wrong in getting both versions for yourself. I myself, have both versions, however one is for myself while the other is for my sibling. If your brother isn't interested and you have access to playing his game instead, then go for it if that's what you wish. Many people have both versions, some only for them rather for other family members.
