Please make my team better. I'm pretty much screwed.

Please don't double post. Use the edit button.

The last post was made 4 days later... It would have been inappropriate if I just edited the one post before the last one and included everything there. If you had looked at the dates first, then you'd know why I posted a second one.

But, yeah, maybe I was wrong to do that. Sorry.

So, maybe answer the last post instead?

As shanecdavis mentioned, please stop spamming up my thread... Seriously...

Uh-oh... I found a flaw in those two wishmaker options...

Girafarig can only learn Wish from breeding with a Skitty, Eevee, and Spinda, who can only learn it through a breeding chain that starts with Togetic -- a Pokemon I need to trade to obtain. [Sigh...]

I'm going to buy that Emerald cart someday...
Anyway...

So, my only actual options now are:
Xatu
Illumise
Latias

Illumise is much too weak, and I don't want to use any legendaries so Latias is out of the question (also since it has a lame Docile nature). Unless I can somehow make my Latias powerful enough to compensate for the bad nature, I'll be using Xatu for now.

If ever I use Latias, should it be like this?:

Latias @ (I really don't know)
Docile Nature (Ick...)
- Wish
- Psychic / Mist Ball
- Dragonbreath
- Light Screen

I've started saving up for that Emerald, just so y'all know... Phew..
Now you can see how only having Sapphire SEVERELY limits your options! I still say that Wigglytuff is your best option (if you don't succumb to using Legendaries that is). Keep in mind that while a non-STAB Ice Beam does 80% max damage to Xatu, it only does 33% max damage to Wigglytuff. A non-STAB Earthquake also only does 49% max damage. While its defenses may appear low, its super high HP beefs them up, especially if you max out HP.

Blissey and Jirachi are the best Wishers period.

Well, here's some great news: One of my schoolmates is willing to sell me his Emerald, and goshdarnit, i'm gonna buy it! I plan to restart his entire game and claim it as my own. Muhahahah...

Thanks everyone! Your outside-of-Sapphire suggestions turned out to be useful to me after all!

Last thing... Could someone give me an idea of how a Wishlytuff (I just made that up) moveset should look like? Thanks again. ^^

here are 2 movesets that use wish on wigglytuff:

double-edge/wish/thunderwave/counter @ leftovers, adamant i guess.

thunderwave/thunderbolt/ice beam/wish @ leftovers <<<< I prefer this one. modest.

hope i've helped! :)

This will be the team in my Sapphire version. All those who have read my posts before already know that I am not (yet) able to trade to other versions. So, here's what I've planned so far. All 6.

Are you actually going to use this team against other players? or just as an in-game battle-team? ..There's a big difference in movesets between the two.

Salamence (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Intimidate
Brave Nature (+Atk, -Spd)
- Dragon Claw
- Dragon Dance
- Flamethrower(Earthquake)
- Return

Physical sweeper. I would've gone for Adamant, but that would have cut the power of both FT and DC. I settled for Brave since DD helps the speed easily.

I'd have earthquake > Flamethrower, seeing as you said it was a physical sweeper and all. Most ice-types you come across in-game are a split between ice/water. EQ qould do around the same damage, but would benafit more from DD.
Keep Dragon claw, for the sake of having a fighting chance against other dragon-types.

Xatu (M) @ BrightPowder
Trait: Synchronize
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Confuse Ray
- Night Shade
- Psychic
- Wish

I hate this. But it's the best wishmaker I can use. I thought about Girafarig, but its base stats were all lower than Xatu's, save for attack and defense. [sigh...]

I'd have given this one Calm Mind..
If you want a Wish{er}, Use Umbreon. *looks at sig* xP
Eons make great Wish-passers.

I have a Jirachi.. actually It's on the game I'm playing now, in the pc.

If you can get jirachi you can try using it, but I find Umbreon a more sturdy pokemon altogether, and definately better than that fat blissful sack of air. xd

Chimecho (M) @ BrightPowder
Trait: Levitate
Calm Nature (+SDef, -Atk)
- Calm Mind
- Dream Eater
- Heal Bell
- Yawn

Cleric. Bad moves. Nothing much I can do about it now, though. I'll change the Yawn + CM + Dream Eater thing if someone can suggest something better.

I'd have given it Psychic > Dream Eater,
Protect > Yawn in likehood of double matches.

This thing actually makes a not-too-bad DB{er}, I used to have one a while ago, NPC's may be gullable enough to fall for desting bond, But player-on-player you'd want a nice speed, and not to show you have the move until the very last second.

Skarmory (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Sturdy
Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Drill Peck
- Spikes
- Steel Wing
- Toxic

SpikeSkarm. But I don't have my Roar TM anymore (because... SOMEONE sold it without my permission), and I can only breed for Whirlwind with the Pidgey chain, which I cannot obtain without trading. I'm basically trying to make my IRL opponent switch out to reset the Toxic damage. It's a bad strategy, but I'm not really battling pros here.

Well... I just buy Roar TM on my LG, and trade it over, but If you can't do that..... Try swagger > Drill Peck/Steel Wing..
It will help force switches, fire/electric won't benefit from the +2 attack stats, you have a very nice defense to take any loose hits.

Once this faints you can have a back-up roar/WW{er} ready. (Hopefully you managed to get spikes up.)

Breloom (M) @ Shell Bell
Trait: Effect Spore
Brave Nature (+Atk, -Spd)
- Focus Punch
- Giga Drain
- Leech Seed
- Spore

The usual. Spore, Seed, Punch. I went for Brave so that Spore can go second, which I intend. I hate it when my opponent's sleep count is only one turn, which seems to happen more than I thought it would.

I think that's going to be too slow..
Nah, the second you spore, they'd likely switch to a counter. You'd have used leech seed on that turn they switched.

I have a Simmilar, lvl 100 breloom in the pc I hardly use.. wait for me to finish killing wallace and I'll check it.

-Edit:- Mine has 310atk 187spd, (I consider that too slow), so I don't use it.
It has mach punch instead of Giga Drain, so I must have planned;
I'd have used focus Punch on the turn they switched in a counter, I could then finish up the job with a {310atk, STABed, first hit finishing move.}
Giga drain does louzy damage, STAB or not. and it won't help you on those turns that flying-types manage to wraggle their way into play.

If you prefer Giga Drain > Mach Punch, That's cool..

Lanturn (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Volt Absorb
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Ice Beam
- Surf
- Thunder Wave
- Thunderbolt

Special sweeper, obviously. I haven't changed it since my previous rate request. The same someone sold my Rest TM. I'd hate to have to breed it again... It's the only memeber of my team so far that's already lv.100.

That's perfectly fine as is, If you manage to get rest, It'd be useful.

This was the best I could do with my limited Sapphire-only range. It's lacking something that I can't seem to detect... It FEELS versatile and effective, but I'm not sure of it. Help. Please. Thanks in advance to everyone.

P.S. Where I live, Pokemon players aren't exactly link-happy. So if anyone's going to suggest outside the Sapphire cart, let's just say that it might be a while before I start asking for rates again. Another thing: I've got EQ on my Aggron, and I'm wondering, onto what Pokemon can I breed it? I think that's what my team lacks... and EQer. Any info on this would be great. Thanks... again... in advance.

Hope that helped..
This is one of the good-to-better in-game teams I've come across, nice work. You obviously have a strong grasp of the game, Keep it up. =)

I haven't seen you around here before, but not too bad of a rater.

Swagger is meh though, but in the game I guess...

I haven't been around here for very long myself, Signed up a while back, completely forgot about the site. I rate from my own experience, not by reading strategy guides and stating their movesets. You can sort of tell from the excessive use of the word "I'd", lol

Swagger to me is nothing special. Though with toxic in play, on top of a nice defense, it might just get the job done. I've been trying to find a way around, but there isn't really a great deal that can be done.. just have to make use with what's available I guess.
