You have WAY too many physical sweepers. Get rid of one for another good special sweeper (honestly, get rid of Yanmega)

I'm no expert but here's my opinion anyway.

What kind of advice is that? That was horrible. You didn't suggest anything good, and the only time you suggested something, it was "Hydro Cannon Empoleon" Hyper Beam moves are absolutely horrible.

Hydro Cannon will do you well.
Yeah, for losing. Hydro Cannon and other moves of the like are some of the worst in the game. Yes, even if you manage to kill something with it, you're stuck in the next turn, pretty much doomed to get revenge killed or (even worse) set up on by something like DDMence or SDChomp.

And for that reason too, burningfoot, you should scrap Rock Wrecker on Rhy.

Yeah, you seem to lack great special sweepers. Use Alakazam, Gengar, or Togekiss or something.

EDIT: ARGHHH Vance beat me to it xD

This is a team I spent a long time building for competitive battling so I want to know what the experts think.

    Dusknoir @ Leftovers
    Pressure
    Nature – Impish
    EVs: Def: 255 HP: 255
    - Thunder Punch
    - Fire Punch/Ice Punch/Shadow Sneak
    - Will-o-Wisp
    - Pain Split

Dusknoir should be switched with Yanmega as it is not suited to be a lead.

    Yanmega @ Focus Sash
    Speed Boost
    Nature – Modest
EVs: Sp Atk: 255 Spd: 255
    - HP Ice/Ground
    - Bug Buzz
    - Hypnosis
    - Protect

This should be your lead pokemon.

    Gallade @ Life Orb
    Steadfast
    Nature – Adamant
    EVs: Atk: 255 Spd: 255
    - Close Combat
    - Psycho Cut/Night Slash/Thunderpunch/Stone Edge
    - Swords Dance
    - Ice Punch

You just needed to fix the attacks and get a LO.

    Starmie @ Life Orb
    Natural Cure
    Nature - Modest
    Evs: 252 SpAtk / 252 Spd / 6 HP
    - Surf
    - Thunderbolt
    - Ice Beam
    - Grass Knot

You need a reliable Special Sweeper.

    Vaporeon @ Leftovers
    Water Absorb
    Nature – Calm
    EVs: Def: 255 HP: 255
    - Protect
    - Ice Beam
    - Surf
    - Wish

Vaporeon does the job so much better.

    Lucario @ Life Orb
    Inner Focus
    Nature – Adamant
    EVs: Atk: 255 Atk: 255
    - Close Combat
    - Stone Edge
    - Blaze Kick / Swords Dance
    - Extremespeed

    SD Luke with LO.

Thanks in advance to any comments.

    Your welcome.

I may have three posts but I know more than scratch when it comes to battling, my edits are in bold. Oh, and all pokemon should always have an item. Now you have one special sweeper, one physical sweeper, a lead, a physical wall, a special wall, and a late game Luke.

Yanmega needs Air Slash, but Hypnosis AND Protect is redundant. Choose one and use Air Slash.

I don't see why It needs Air Slash, with HP Ground it gets Heatran and Magnezone, which normally wall it, and with HP Ice its Garchomp and Salamence. As for protect, you only need it if you are a lead, you use protect for a free speed boost, then sleep something and kill it.

Without Air Slash, Heracross walls you and OHKO's you with Stone Edge. Air Slash is needed for coverage and a STAB.

Well on Shoddy Battle there has been a huge Hera drop in Usage, if there wasn't I would go with Air Slash, but I havn't seen one Hera all week so I'd go with HP.

    Then you're lucky.

    Yeah, that's quite common. :D

That means nothing, Air Slash is still useful against things like Infernape, Foretress (neutral damage) Machamp, etc...

Heracross is still a HUGE threat to the OU metagame, especially this team.

Isn't Dusknoir there specifically for Herra though? And that is the usage for last month, thats a long time ago. I don't want to get into a Flame War, so I am going to leave now though.

What can that Dusky do to Hera though? Will-o-Wisp is only gonna make the team fear Heracross even more, and the other moves don't hurt him terribly.

lol Dusknoir lol. Dusknoir is meh. Anyway, it isn't that long... =\ Also, this isn't a flame war, more like a convo or something.

This isn't a flame war dude. We're discussing sets and why they work. And also, Dusknoir is not a Heracross counter. It takes WAY too much from Pursuit. Even if it stays in, CB Hera does about 50% to it

    Agreed.

I disagree. My Dusknoir survived a burned SD Hera's Pursuit -without switching, of course- to counter with Pain Split, Fire Punch, & Shadow Sneak (in that order). Not recomending it, of course, but something to mull around the ol' noggin.

But... This guy's Dusky doesn't even have Fire Punch.
