Does anyone else wonder where Red was during the events of Gold/Silver? Why didn't he just go and stop Team Rocket?

RED having become the ultimate pokemon trainer wanted to become even more powerful and the best place to train would be in Mount Silver the area with the strongest pokemon in all of Kanto and Johto. RED would have been there training to become even more powerful and probably very secluded since he had no way of contacting the outside world he didn't have a pokegear remember.

He left Kanto, and climbed Mt Silver to train in the only place strong enough to be a challenge.
Mt Silver being the highest peak in all of the Tohjo Area he had no contact with the outside world, and no knowledge of the return on Team Rocket. He knew nothing, and no one knew he was there, no his mum, nor Oak, or blue.

Assuming Pokemon even has a plot, Red's role was to stand at the top and wait for the second strongest man in the world. His existence is a metaphor for Championship, which was what his anime counterpart stood for. I could end up writing a fanfic where my character would end up surpassing Red and another character would surpass my character, adding the essence of the Title being passed down to new generations.

It's all about what the mind perceives, it's what makes thinking and imagining so terrific.
