In an ancient universe not known to us, stories are mirrored by reality, and stories are known to intertwine. The land of Arkure is one such example of this from this universe. Multiple millennia ago, Arceus created the world of Arkure with three dimensions. The Temporal, Spacial, and Arcane Dimensions each were created with guardians; Dialga, Palkia, and Giratina, respectively. In the current era of time, the center city of Arkure, Camelot, is ruled by King Uther Pendragon. The 30 year reign has been marked with the king's actions to eradicate anything that has to do with the Arcane, deeming all magic as Dark Magic and all who practice it as evil. He has even gone as far as trying to eradicate Pokemon that resemble creatures of arcane power. His fear of magic has turned into hatred and paranoia, and he will stop at nothing to protect his kingdom. The King has many loyal subjects, though many of them want a new king. There are also many that despise him and plot to dethrone him. Despite Uther's efforts to rid Camelot of all magic, many still practice it, be it for good or evil. Few that are loyal subjects practice good magic. Many dark sorcerers live in secret, strengthening their knowledge of the Old Religion and plotting ways to overthrow the king. Legend says that the true king of Camelot will reveal himself when the time is right, and may believe that Arthur is the true king.

"Factions"
IMPORTANT INFO:
These are not meant to create groups for characters to know each other by. If you are apart of a faction, you are not a "member." Many Arkure Rebels do not know each other, they may not even know eachother's stances.
-King Uther and his loyal council, along with the authorities of Camelot and most of the knights. This "faction" rules over Camelot and stands by Uther. Any characters of this group will stick to the laws of Camelot and will stop at nothing to protect the peace of the kingdom.
-The normal townsfolk of the kingdom, as well as the nobles that are not on any side. Includes normal citizens from outside of Camelot.
-Those who secretly continue to use magic. They do not necessarily want to dethrone Uther, but their ultimate goal is to have Arthur set up as King of Camelot. Most still serve the king as loyal citizens, but they practice good magic in secret. Some still have Ghost Pokemon, but keep them hidden.
-The sorcerers who fully oppose Uther. However, they are the reason that he wants to destroy all magic. They are powerful magicians that use Dark Magic; calling upon the powers of both Dark and Ghost Pokemon. Very few live in the city; most reside outside the city walls in secret, in caves, forests, and even underneath the city itself.
The World of Akure:
Kingdoms:
--Camelot
-City of Camelot: Medieval City with walls surrounding palace and palace grounds. Residential grounds surround the palace walls, along with the marketplace. That area is also surrounded by a wall. The main gate is on the southern-most part of both walls. Guards are posted everywhere around the city, as well as inside the palace.
-Plains: The gate opens unto a section of plains for a mile south.
-Forests: Trees surround the city walls and the plains. Multiple caves open up within the forest.
-Mount Axion: This mountain stands a day's journey North of the city.
-Isle of Blessings: A mysterious island beyond Mount Axion. The island is the ruin of an ancient palace, and legend says that it is the heart of the "Old Religion." Legend also says that a powerful Pokemon resides on the island, though no one has ever seen it. Very few ever venture to the island anyway. The courtyard at the center of the island has a pedestal which holds the Cup of Life.
-Fort Axion: A stone fort that lies at the foot of the mountain. The place is a known bandit camp; it has not been used by Camelot's military forces for half a century.
-Daernea: A village beyond the forest. A half-mile's journey West is needed to get there.
-Keatna: A village beyond the forest. A half-mile's journey East is needed to get there.
--Shivekdis: A kingdom far Southwest of Camelot
-City of Shivekdis: A city completely surrounded by stone. The entire city is an interior covered by a stone roof and stone walls. The citizens are hardly to be called civil at all. As opposed to the honorable and clean-shaven people of Camelot, the people of Shivekdis are dirty, ragged, and completely rude. The men have complete disrespect of women and are obsessed with fighting, eating, and sleeping. All the citizens wear ragged, dirty clothes made of furs and hides.
-Shiv Forests: The mountainous forest region in between Daernea and Shivekdis
-Tennior Tunnels: Tunnels beneath the forests that cut the journey to Shivekdis in half. However, the tunnels are filled with Wildren.
Important Pokemon
-It resides in the Torn Void, a place created by the powers of the dark arcane. Uther trapped it within that world to keep it from helping the sorcerers that he wished to eradicate. However, some sorcerers still can speak with Giratina, Merlin being one of them. Giratina has the power of speech and can speak to those who are able to access the Torn Void. It has much knowledge and can sometimes see what happens in Camelot, though it doesn't always reveal what it knows.
- [li]Arthur's Cobalion[/li]
-A Pokemon summoned by Nimueh for Arthur. It hides itself in the forest, away from humans, but will reveal itself for Arthur and sometimes, for those that Arthur trusts. It wears a leather sash around its neck that has inscriptions on it. On the right shoulder, it translates to "Take me up." On the left, it translates to "Cast me away."
- [li]Also, certain Pokemon that aren't legendary can still be seen as one of a kind or very rare. Pokemon like Zorua, Zoroark, Dragonair, and Lucario[/li]
[li]A note on Ditto, Zorua, and Zoroark-Their shape-shifting powers will definitely be seen as dark magic, so they need to be hidden if owned, even though they are not legendary.[/li]
- [li]Onix, Steelix, Gyarados, and Wailord are out of the question.
Some notes on Pokemon powers
Try not to use names when describing abilities and attacks; try to be more descriptive but unspecific when describing an attack. Instead of "Charmander used Flamethrower!" say something like "Charmander spat fire from his mouth at the enemy, catching them on fire." Instead of "Metang's Clear Body prevented its stats from lowering." say something like "Metang's inner power prevented it from weakening."
Pokemon do not have to be limited to four attacks in this, but don't go overboard with the amount of powers that they have. Pokemon don't have to limited to a single ability; they can have access to the other abilities possible for their species.
Please don't completely rely on using the powers of Pokemon, they are meant to be companions more than super-powered battle pets.
Please also limit the abilities and attacks you use so that your Pokemon aren't calling meteors from the sky, or creating huge torrents of water, or blasting away buildings and trees. Sorcerers should probably be the only ones calling down thunderstorms or generating tornadoes as well.
A sorcerer could summon a Pokemon powerful enough to use attacks like that, though.
Some notes on magic
Limit your use of magic to the level that you choose. For instance, a level 1 sorcerer would only be able to make something small move with their mind, or maybe change the color of something. A level 4 could probably enchant a weapon with an element. A level 7 could use self-levitation or conjure a thunderstorm.
After a while, a sorcerer will learn more magic, so your level can definitely change, just not within a day's time. It will take a while for a level to increase.
Very powerful sorcerers may be able to summon legendary Pokemon or significantly powerful Pokemon like Dusknoir or Slaking.
Also, all magic is summoned by some sort of "chant." Any character using magic intentionally must at least whisper some sort of chant. There need not be any defined words, just at least a sound.
The "Burst" Technique
This technique can be used, but let's not give it a name, just say that you merged with a Pokemon. Also, it must only be used by sorcerers with at least a level 4 or 5 power.
Try not to completely "merge" your character with the Pokemon. Really, the Pokemon should become an armor or clothing of some sort.
However, your character can still use the powers and ability of the morphed Pokemon.
Sorcerers can also merge a Pokemon with a different character instead of themselves.
Sorcerers with at least a level 8 can merge with more than one Pokemon.
Let me give an example of the version of the ability that can be used:
Merlin stepped behind a tree as Arthur distracted the Carnivine. After taking one look back to make sure he had a moment, he muttered a magic chant. Shedinja, floating beside him, started glowing. It morphed into a ball of light and grew to a much larger size. The light wrapped around Merlin, covering him. The light started disappearing and Merlin remained with a set of bronze and iron armor covering him. His helmet was all bronze and looked just like the head of Shedinja, with a rotated, white, crescent moon marking the forehead. His chest and legs were covered by iron chain mail, and bronze plates rested on his arms and shoulders. Instead of carrying a shield, his forearms both bared half of a shield that fit together when he held his arms side-by-side.
After he equipped his armor, he jumped back into battle to see the Carnivine with some vines wrapped around Arthur's sword while Arthur tried to fight back with his shield. Merlin jumped at the Pokemon, forming his arms into an "X." His arms shone with a brief flash as he borrowed Shedinja's power, striking down on Carnivine. The Grass Pokemon took the full blow, and it fainted from the attack.
Arthur peeled the vines off of his sword. "Glad you finally joined the fight." Arthur grumbled as he sheathed his sword.
Merlin lifted the front part of his helmet, revealing his face. "You're welcome."
