Pokébank compability

Hi there fellow Pokéfans!

I was wondering if someone could confirm wether I can transfer Pokémon from Platinum to the Pokébank at this stage?
Haven't found any clear answer and I never used Pokébank myself. I am planning to buy Platinum and perhaps either White 2 or Black 2.
That being said, I'd like to know if I could transfer the Pokémon I'd invest in. Currently playing on a 2DS so an upgrade might happen in the future.

Not directly from Platinum to Bank, but yeah, you can.

You need two (3)DS systems to do it, but basically you transfer from gen 4 to 5, then from 5 to Bank via a related app called the Transporter

First of all, thanks for the response! I happen to have a 2DS and a regular DS. Also planning to buy both Platinum and White 2.
Hopefully, that should do the trick. By now I've also learned that I can transfer my pokémon from Crystal virtual console. Yay for technology!
