Pokécommunity Gamer Monthly #2

Well it's been two long weeks of school and suffering since the last issue and I'd like to welcome you all to Number Two. Unfortuantly I havn't been able to line anyone up for an interview this week so I'm afraid it will just be reviews. As you can probably tell by the title PC Gamer will now be Monthly. There are simply not enough games to keep this up Bi-Monthly as much as I'd like too, however I promised an issue on the 20th/21st so here it is.

So what has caught my eye this month?
Well it has to be Krimm's Pokémon:Next Generation. It is the first fan game I have seen that uses Diamond and Pearl sprites and doesn't look even partially ugly! (Shut up Azura)
In his thread he has also showcased some quite nice and original looking Pokémon sprites.

Hmm where to start with this, I could just go ahed and give it 0 Pokéballs because it's made by my arch nemesis Azura.. But that wouldn't be very fair ;D ~Azura and ~Heart are getting along very well with this game from what I can see, they have mostly all of the original Pokémon scripts done and a few extra to my knowledge. They have also managed to keep up a very high standard of media coverage to keep fans alive.
As for graphics.. Well most of them are FR/LG.. So really I can't talk about them. As for story.. Well if you ask me the start of it feels a bit like the first episode of the Anime with the whole "Rival showing off" thing, but that's just me. ~Azura has decided not to let out much story information and I suppose that it's for the better.
Gameplay is expected to be very similar to that of the GBA games, personally I'm opposed to games copying the style of the GBA ones as I'm an originality freak but.. Whatever. Mapping is pretty.. On par, areas seem to be original even if there are a few errors here and there.
I give this game.. 0 Pokéballs!

Pokémon Next Generation

Now THIS game I'm in love with, and I don't often get to say that as most people should know by now. As I said earlyer..

anndd that pretty much covers spriting for the game xD Mapping.. I really can't comment on seeing as they haven't really shown off any of their permanant maps yet,only tests. The story looks quite original so far, generic go to the Prof's lab, get Pokémon it seems however. I can't really do as long of a review as I would like to because this game is still in very early stages.. However. EXCLUSIVES!

This game gets 3 Pokéballs.

I would have given Metropolis a 5/5, but that is just me. (I'm biased.)

Anyway, good issue, but next time, try adding in an interview.
