    Wouldn't it be nice to have a decimal point in your pocket? It could teach kids more about money too.

    Maybe there could be Poképennies or Pokédimes. What do you think?

    Thing is, Pokemon is made in Japan, where the money system is totally different from other countries. One Japanese Yen is basically one penny. It is assumed that the Pokemoney system is the same as Japanese Yen.
     
    As already stated, Poke is based on Yen, which doesn't have a decimal system whatsoever. Sure, localized versions could convert it so that it matches up with currencies, but that'd be really confusing and complicated considering how Pokemon is distributed to a variety of countries, many with their own currency.
