HeartGold hack: Pokémon Chaos Purple Version

I don't know maybe only me but know after clearing the safari and adding ryhyhorn the game control often freezes we still can use save features but for reason the control often freezes on their own and need to restart the game and load to make it normal
or maybe after one of the biker at cycling road koffing and weezing self destruct on my ryhyhorn and resulting error and force close. Honestly i don't know because there some bug that i also encounter like you
 
That also happen to me maybe because the safari zone step counter is broken and not counting the player step in safari zone it broken and affecting the gameplay by counting the player step outside the safari zone
There isn't a step counter in safari zone it works on when pokeballs run out. I had to adapt the script when battling the boss at the end of the safari zone in the story part of it, as it originally keeps teleporting players back to the entrance, seems like it needs a bit more adjustments.

And tangela evolution hasn't been changed. I haven't touched any of the evolution logic. I will look into that as well in the future
 
Also forget.

Finally finish the game
The good:
1.Nice Nds graphics especially fuchisia
2.New story nice to read
3. infinity TM use really helpful for player
4. Some new layout in dungeon especially dark cave and mount moon
5. New Little small town
6. Green really nice character
The not so good:
1.HM system forced use certain type Pokémon into party especially flying and water make team building restricted
2. City although new graphics still same layout building so nothing new on the old city, some building interior also get smaller like the museums and power plant, i think this building should retain their big scale because it's the landmark of the region.
3. No exp share some people's have limited time to play because of this it really need exp share.
4. Gym need to be harder because the limited type pokémon of gen 1 it is really easy to just sweeping gym with 1 Pokémon example kadabra. The gen 1 roster have little bit unbalance especially for ghost type and physics type because there no dark type and for fairy type because lack of poison and steel type around (the zubat line really easy to kill using my thunderbolt on clefairy)
5. Some bug for some reason in late game now the MC often stop moving suddenly, the touchscreen can still be used and player can save an load but still inconvenience

I understand you want to keep the feeling of original but i think you should not afraid to improve so the game not end up like BDSP ( brilliant diamond and shining pearl) because it's too close to original and in fact people's will love if you make city bigger with many new building and map with many new locations like fire red extended and don't be afraid to extend route, don't be afraid to add some gen 2 mon if necessary. Don't be afraid to make people's restart from beginning losing their save game because the product is different because it's really normal in romhack wolrd and beta for other official game with the end product really different from the beta

I the end it's enjoyable and have lot's of potential, not many NDS hack have great potential with new organized map like this usually the nds hack not have organized map design with mismatched tileset like laves suddenly in middle of forest.

Really thankful for this game you give, please stay healthy during this day because the weather conditions not good around the world. Once again thank you @Chvlkie. you're really talented. 🙏👍😊

Thank you for the feedback. I will review Gym battles and rebalance them. I will add exp share - as you are aware this is just a demo stage and still a WIP so I am planning the best point of the game to give the player it.

Personally I am considering removing infinite TM's as although is a QoL improvement it is a mechanic I do not like in later generations. I want to revive the feeling I had when playing the original Red/Blue as a child. Not a popular opinion I am aware, however in my view it almost makes the TM shops redundant as you will essentially only purchase the TM once. It makes it more of a fullfilling challenge to earn enough money to purchase multiple TMs to teach to Pokemon rather than all for one - so that will be my decision.

With the HMs again - I dislike the later mechanics of HM items etc - it is too hand-holding the player to me, so HMs are staying.

In terms of extending Towns/Cities - I have to remember to stick to the limitations of the Nintendo DS hardware. The maps are rendered in 3D - with a strict limit on the amount of polygons that can be loaded, the same with buildings inside the city - a map cannot load too many. Then with the World Map functionality of the game engine I must stick to consistent sizes for the best compatability. There will be a second region in the form of the Sevii Islands to explore, and extra dungeons, however expanding existing cities comes with engine limitations.
 
It's okay just my opinion the HM really force Pokémon on player team and forcing weak move on move slot or make player carry HM slave in victory road and make some team member that leave behind for HM slave missing the experience making in under level and force to train with wild Pokémon because the trainer all already battled usually like that but regardless of that thank for the game once again

I'm more focused on TM here. This just my opinion here and maybe different with other player but how do we buy multiple TM getting enough money for buy more than one TM when the amount of trainer still same and we can't rematch them. I just hope if you implement this system you made vs seeker available in final versions because your point of challenge to get money will be redundant or just void it itself without the opportunity to collect money in the first place or maybe what you mean is to make TM more precious and being teach to important pokemon because that more make sense with how usually old pokemon game work because if it like that you should explain it better because it confuse me little bit so sometimes and not to mention to make new player who wait for this game understand this more easily 👍🏻

Yeah I will include areas later in the game for battles that can be repeated and I intend to implement the Vs seeker at some point too. Plus the limited use TMs to me helps make them more meaningful making the player need to really think ahead when using them and adds a greater challenge and role playing element
 
Honestly reading HM item as hand holding make me disagree. Technically HM move is the one that make people don't have freedom with choice of pokemon in their team and pretty much concept that being agreed by is harming. In the end the final decision is still on you. Just good luck and still wish best luck with this project

Just thought I'd put it here, so it's in writing so that people are aware.

I'd seen a couple of YouTube vids playing the demo and describe it in the comments as "Hard Mode"

To avoid confusion - this hack is not made to be a hard mode/difficulty hack. It will be balanced with slight battle improvements but will remain playable by casual players rather than the typical "all trainers have 6 Pokémon and super high IVs" difficulty.

I want the game to be enjoyed for the story and nostalgia rather than making it a super tough hard mode long drawn out battle hack because to me that is not enjoyable.

So for people coming from YouTube expecting a "hard mode" as other people advertise. This is wrong.

Yeah that people really miss understanding what is no exp share all and no HM item is different than hard mode, sure it's not convenient on modern game but the trainer is manageable. Because of that I agreed with you on this

I mean the whole no exp share is mainly because it's not available in this demo, whereas in later releases you will get the exp share item. I don't want to use the later gen mechanic of automatic exp share because again I am not a fan and has the risk of completely breaking the balance of the game early on
