Lucky bum. I have no way of playing FRLG?
 
I got Leaf Green on wedsnday, i've been playing it since. I'm just at Saffron now, since I took soooo much time leveling my pok?mon up (my team's leader is level 56!...I know, its the VS Seeker ^_^)

Does anyone have any concerns with the Pok?mon Anime, and its..fluffiness?

It should be a darker anime.. Like Sailormoon and Dragonball(Z,GT) I mean, if the Manga has a Dark Plot, why shouldnt the Anime be just as good or even better?

Those wimp censors would ban episodes if they were "dark?"
 
I got tired of the anime's childishness a long time ago...I only enjoy playing the games now, but even still I get extremely bored with them after beating the E4...what with no other real competitive pok?fans in my area to battle with via link cable (or wireless adapter for that matter)

In the series in Kanto he never got a badge really deserving it >_<
I'm still a Pokefan though, and I like Pokemon in general, as well as the game.

The thing is that after beating the E4 I get bored too, but thats a chance for me to train my Pokemon at the best by re beating each time the E4.

Regarding the cable challenges, until i came here in england i had many (and i never lost :P) but sadly here in London I'm still looking for someone to challenge, because I did not even had one cable fight (and i came 2 years ago! >_<)
 
I don't watch the anime because it is directed to an audience that is about half my age. I turned on the TV to see an episode on (I think it was the newest series... I can't remember the name), and it was all too cute! I nearly died from it's cuteness. It was nothing like the games at all... and the only "nasty" thing that happened was Team Rocket teaming up and capturing Pikachu like they do every single episode! I'm so sick of the anime... but I really want to see the Porygon episode! That one looks good @_@
 
LoL here is how the cartoon always goes (on the first series if im not wrong):

- Ash goes to a new town or place
- Everything is fine and everyone is happy and cute :P
- Team Rocket comes and does one of their idiot ideas stealing pikachu and other pokemon
- Ash beats team rocket somehow (usually with a thundershock >_<)
- Ash gets rewarded somehow(like with a gym badge) and everyone is happy again >_<
In my opinion THAT SUKS!! Lmao It would b too easy to become a Pokemon master then o.O
 
EXACTLY! It's not just the first series though... it happens in every freaking episode! And that's what botheres me. The stupid people at Kids WB or Sky One or TV Tokyo take out an episode because it had a gun! (I'm talking about the Dratini episode here btw) I mean come on! Ther are loads of TV shows with guns in them tht 7 year olds watch. Soaps have guns, drama has guns, even some childrens drama shows have guns. Everything has a gun in it nowadays. Phew... I love ranting about how pathetic the anime is ^_^
 
I stopped watching the Pokemon Anime a long, long time ago. But that's when I became a fanatic of the Pokemon Manga. Hey wait...are you stopping me from blabbing about it in a different forum? It says Pokemon General and not Anime discussion...XD

But yeah...the anime is getting pretty much predictable with too many 3rd tier characters, etc, etc. Besides, one thing I like about the manga is...Yellow-chan! *glomps Yellow-chan*
 
I'm actually surprised those wimp censors didn't ban Pok?mon Paparazzi or whatever they called it because of the sniper scene?
 
Heh...I stopped watching the Pok?mon anime a looooooong time ago. I think I gave up during the end of the Orange League. Truthfully, all I really wanted to watch were the end-of-series championships, because they were the only episodes that were actually entertaining. I got my Fire Red a few days ago, and I usually play it between classes at university. It's excellent, but I wonder if Nintendo plans to bring out a GBA version of Silver/Gold/Crystal?

Yeah true.... it may be a good idea too if there is a remake of G/S/C because It really annoys me the fact that you cannot link the old games with the newer ones....

Btw, since this pokemon chit chat is free topic, i got a quick question, which i expect the answer to be no anyway >_> :
Is there anyway I can bring my team from Pokemon Blue to Pokemon R/S/E or FR/LG?? I mean even using the pokemon box or making strange tricks somehow, as long as i get the pokemon i want transferred =P
 
I stopped watching the shows ever since they came on Saturday like 5 years ago...its a total waste of my time when I can wake up and play the games which are 20x better...or just go out and party which is 50x better lol
 
Ya..i got quite bored of it..
The series started moving along so slowly -i only enjoyed the gym episodes..which were really spaced apart -.-
Jesse and James are getting really old now..same thing every episode -.-
 
Kanto was good. Johto- the worst. Writers didn`t have a good idea for episodes. 20 or 30 episodes between every Gym, some episodes weren`t necessary (like that one about Pidgeys), some were really boring. 1/3 of every episode was about Brock and his "next" love. I don`t understand, why he had to "love" every girl? "Pokemon" lost a power.
Advance Generation is much much better than Johto. I really like it. may and Max are great - a new blood for anime, battles are great, music and songs- very nice^^ For me AG is a the best season^^ I like it, Ash is not a kid anymore. One big minus is.... Team Rocket. Jessie, James and Meowth are just...boring.

Johto was boring, and G/S/C were the most boring Pok?mon Games. Im not saying theyre not cool, but theyre not as cool as the otehrs ^^;
AG is better, much better. I like the Background Music better, and Haruka rocks over Kasumi (Or over everything XD)

Team Rocket annoy the **** out of me. Prepare for trouble and make it double and whatever and Meowth or something. It drives me crazy. And the worst thing is, they're in nearly every single freaking episode! You have to listen to the stupid song, watch them kidnap Pikachu, get back Pikachu, and blast off... AGAIN! It drives me insane to watch occasionally. Pika Pika... I want to throttle Pikachu at times... [/rant of hyperventilation]
