Eh .. go check on Serebii.NET, you'll find the EVs page there. And defense up for your Gardevoir, you should train against some Pokemon that has high defense too. Lairon maybe? Check the page in Serebii.NET 'cause there are lists there.

I only use a Rare Candy like in training. IF this pokemon is annoying me then I said. Ok time up. THen it goes up one level. Training done. Then also on pokemon who are about to evole.

Eh, if you have really high defense, you can take a few hits then because you're slow, and make up for it with high attack power. So there.

I don't use Rare Candies, only when it's really necesairy.
When your defence stays low, after houres of training, you always can use items...
