In case you don't know what that is, in 2001, 4kids released an album featuring Christmas themed songs about Pokemon sung by the English cast.

    No, this isn't a joke.

So, let's look at the songs, shall we:

Pokémon Christmas Bash - So bad it's funny. And trust me, they just can't sing and the lyrics don't help. And 4kids' CLEAR exploitation of Pokeshipping, because THAT is just OBVIOUS. Although, the person who ISN'T apart of the cast sounds somewhat decent.

I'm Giving Santa a Pikachu for Christmas - I'm not going to lie, the title made me laugh. The song, not so much. The lyrics, just dumb. I was happy when it was done.

Winter is the Coolest Time of the Year - Not so bad to be honest. Except where we hear Ash, Misty and Brock with an ONSLAUGHT of bad puns.

Misty: Come on guys, let's make a snowman!
Ash: I have a better idea, Misty!
    Misty: What's that, Ash?
    Ash: Let's make a snow-mon!
    Misty: Ha-ha! Perfect! How about a Tenta-cool?
    Ash: Or a Fridgeotto!
    Misty: Let's build a Butterfreeze!
Brock: Could we continue this discussion inside? Where it's warm?
Misty: Oh come on, Brock. It's cool out here.
    Brock: Yeah, too cool.
Ash: Misty, we got to get Brock to chill out.
    Misty: I know how!
    Ash: Me too!
Brock: Wait no! Not snow down my back! Guys, don't!

    SRSLY.

Nobody Don't Like Christmas - Sung by Meoth with his sense of humor. MOVING ON.

I Keep Home in My Heart - Brock, CANNOT SING. Misty, oddly enough, didn't even sound like Misty. That's a good thing BTW. So, bad-ish.

The Christmas Song - Guys, I didn't think I could HATE Team Rocket anymore then I already had. This song changed that.

Under the Mistletoe - You can just GUESS the shipping they're trying to push here.

    Rocket?
    No.
    Gym?
    No.
    Pika?
    HAIL TO THE ANJERA NO!

So, overall, this song isn't HORRIBLE. And the ending, well...

Misty: Hi, Ash. Did you get something to eat?
    Ash: Uh, yeah.
Misty: Um, Ash. Did you realize we're standing under the mistletoe?
    Ash: Huh? Waaa!
Misty: Ash! Where are you going?
Ash: Uh, I'm getting some Christmas cookies!
Misty: You just got some cookies!
Ash: Yeah, I know! Come on, Pikachu!
    Misty: What's his problem, Pikachu?
    Pikachu: Pika-pika!
    Ash: Come on, Pikachu!
Misty: Ash, look out for the...
    Ash: Waaa!
    Misty: Never mind.

I'm not sure if I should write LOL or /FACEPALM.

Must Be Santa - I'll ignore the fact that they still BELIEVE in Santa, the song is decent.

The Night Before Christmas - Not a song, just the characters reading the poem.

Christmas Medley - The cast singing various Christmas carols. Ranging from okay (The 12 Days of Christmas) to blech (Oh Chirstmas Tree).

So honestly, this CD is, well. Blech. It's everything wrong with 4kids' ability to write lyrics/music, sets it on fire and ramps off of it several times. Not even the immense amounts of nostalgia I feel can save it.

So, what do YOU think of this CD?

Welcome to the club of !(4Kids) [Not 4Kids]. Trying to ruin our lives all the time. And this album I'll admit I simply could not stand a few seconds of the samples at Barnes and Nobles.

Damn, my 4Kids hatreds are tingling back again.

If you don't like it you don't have to buy it.

Woah, i liked the album, wasnt half bad. One thing you have to remember, the anime is focused on children... so it may sound stupid to you but to children, it sounds awsome, and they will love dancing to it! They dont exspect 20 year olds to be listening to it -.-"
If your going to try and judge it, you need to think about it more... its focused on small children... i give it a 9/10 because children love the album (I remember when i was in primary school... year 1 or somthing, they played a song from the album in a kinda disco thingee and everyone loved it) Its fun!!

    >.> I know where you stole that line from.

I just listened to a few songs off this....it was....um...intersting. Oh god, 4kids, I'm so glad you sold this show to PUSA.
They didnt sell it, their 10 year contract was finnished so pusa decided to dub it!

Yes, it's stupid. Yes, it's for little kiddies and not for people above 18. Yes, I have it on my MP3 Player.

But seriously, I didn't expect it to be expertly sung. Unlike what it seems like in Japan, not every voice actor can sing wonderfully. Under the Mistletoe sorta makes me puke because of the clear (but one-sided) Pokeshipping, but it's a cute song non-the-less.

:( They are not supposed to be amazing songs, you're just supposed to enjoy them, which I do. It's more character songs than the original have given us.

Yeah, it is pretty horrific. They're incredibly cheesy, but they are fun songs for children, I suppose. I wish Japan would make some character songs :/ I wonder why they haven't since they used to release loads of random CDs in the earlier days.

That said, I do have have the CD on my iPod XP Just for collection purposes, though XD

Pokémon Christmas Bash, Goodness, you can't move for blasphemy these days.

Some of the songs are terrible, I admit. But when it comes down to it, the album is fun.
Must Be Santa is appalling (<--spelling?), yes. I concede on that one.

Under The Mistletoe is fun. Who cares if it's blatant non-canon Pokéshipping? It's more Ash making a fool of himself, and it's good fun to listen to.

I Keep My Home In My Heart is lovely. It's totally true, and timeless for that matter. I find it quite moving.

The Christmas Song was awesome. I thought it was fun and jolly, and James' little 'ooh!'s are hilarious.

Winter Is The Coolest Time Of Year is great. I listen to it at any time of the year and I'm filled with the joys of Christmas. The puns are funny, too. I'm a sucker for bad jokes.

The album's fun. It's jolly and happy, full of Christmas and Pokemon joy, even if they do ruin some pleasant carols by turning them Pokemon.
Christmas is fun, and so is Pokemon, and this album brings them both together in a very entertaining and joyful way. In my opinion, it's great. Perfect for listening to when you want a bit of Pokemon-y Christmas cheer. ^_^

    xX

I only listened to The Christmas Song. I have to admit, it's not what I call 'hit song of the year' material, but still entertainment to listen to every once in a while.

hahaha omg this album. I listened to it last year, and it was absolutely horrible.

    and yet "nobody don't like Christmas" is still stuck in my head after all this time XD;

I haven't actually heard it, but judging by the lyrics, I bet it would make me cringe. I'd probably still listen to it though. It's made for kids. It's probably like those other awful Christmas songs (Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, Frosty the Snowman), you learn to live with it.

I've always thought this CD was pretty cute. xD

I used to like it when it first came out, because seriously.. it was Pokemon and Christmas, which I liked.

I have this album on my iPod. It's corny beyond explanation, but I enjoy it.

This album is something you have to listen on Christmas, no matter how bad it is. I like "I'm giving Santa a Pikachu this Christmas"...
    It's awesome.

Haha, lol, I never heard of it, but now that I have, I'm going to see this 'horror' that you speak of. >=/

Listened to the first six seconds and doubled over laughing... I don't need to listen to the rest to know the rest are super corny
