4th Gen Pokémon Contests

Which Generation of Contests do you prefer?

Well i still think contests could use some tweaking. I like the 4th gen just because of the dance contest and no startling.
 
To tell you the truth, I prefer the D/P/P generation of contests.
You can dress up your Pokemon for the show, and even participate in a dance routine.

Meh, I liked the 3rd gen contests. They seem more aggressive. I can't stand when I can't lower the appeal. And the music alteration of the 3rd gen contests in D/P sounded so.. Pre-schoolish, for lack of better words. Plus, I never have enough patience time to complete those Super Contests. I shun Super Contests. Not really, they're fun and all, but just don't measure up to the 3rd gen contests in my eyes.

EDIT: I prefer poffins to pokeblocks, though. However, I don't like that you can't cook with NPC's in 4th gen.
 
I'm on the fence about this matter. I definitely like how they added more parts to the contests (and removed startling), but IMO the new ones are less combo-based (I pretty much use the same basic combos on each of my 4th gen Contest Pokemon). Then there's the fact that my sloppy, rushed dress-ups look ridiculous and that is the picture they stick up in the Contest Hall.

Then again, you can't square off against Jasmine in 3rd gen.
 
I liked it. I also liked the fact that Fantina, Nurse Joy and Your mother competes with you. I want to take part in the hyper and master rank, but i only got one pokemon there. D:

I hate contests, I'm not good at them, and I hate impressing judges that way. Following the title of this thread, I prefer the D/P/Pt contests anyway.
 
Though I like 4th better, like someone said eariler in the thread, if it appealed more to the guys, I think it would be more interesting like for instance, if they had it to where it was more like the anime, first, the beautiful moves concept, then the tournament concept with lv limits like at the battle tower ranging from lv 20 cap in normal, 30 in super, 40in hyper, and 50 in master. I think that would be awesome
 
How can people like the 4th? The third actually had Strategy!They could have done so much more with contests, actually make them a big part of the game. Nope, they water it down and murder it in cold blood.
 
I LIKE THE SINNOH CONTEST BUT IT WOUYLD BE MORE COOLER IF LIKE YOU HAVE TO BATTLE LIKE ON THE TV SHOW :D.....
 
I like them both. To be honest, if they DO make a GSDS game, then I hope they'll add contests., but just the 3rd Gen contests, so Super Contests can be exclusive to Sinnoh. (That's what makes Sinnoh so special...)
 
Allthough I liked the PokéBlocks more than those stupid "Poffins", I do prefer the DP in terms of the actual contests...
