Hack Series: Pokémon Crowned Sword & Armored Shield (SWSH Hack)

Not within the mod itself. It may be possible to do with cheats for Sword/Shield, I'm not sure. The challenge mode I'm working on will probably mitigate those levels as the fights will be more difficult, but there will still be some level gaps due to the amount of trainers.
Any update on this? It'll make for a great youtube walkthrough! I'd love to see a very difficult challenge mode for this hack where even normal trainers have competitive 6-pokemon parties and maximum AI that allows switching. Important trainers can have legendaries and higher levels for proper boss fights, with postgame content being even more challenging. Hopefully this armored shield hack has been tested on yuzu, I personally don't like other mods that change too many things like altering pokemon typings and abilities, it's not vanilla movesets and often crashes the game.

Full details will come over the next few months. I am currently working on the postgame, with the main story alterations and testing for the main story already complete. I do not test on emulators however and would not be able to fix anything emulator wise regardless as I can only do what I'm given with the hacking tools.

A few things to note;
Switching cannot be enabled in SWSH. The flags for it were ticked already in vanilla CSAS but they just do nothing.
Normal trainers will have 5-pokemon parties after Motostoke, with 6 reserved for boss fights and double battles,. Trainer fights will include high power TRs from the start of the Wild Area under the belief that the player technically has access to these too.
Expert AI is enabled from the start, but there are limitations as the AI can only do its best; it doesn't know how to use Ally Switch in solo double battles for instance so that move was not given to any trainers. Sometimes it'll go for Trick Room and then send in a fast pokemon after it is KO'd, that's just AI being AI.
Important trainers will NOT have legendary Pokemon (except Hop and Mustard) as that is one thing I am vehemently against from a game design perspective; the same reason I have not added legendaries into the wild in some 1% encounter rate as some other mods tend to do. They also won't have higher levels than the vanilla trainers, but the levels overall have been increased and the champion will cap at 85 with the final postgame fight vs Hop reaching the 100 mark.

No, there is only the one Kubfu, and it retains its original evolution method. I'm not sure if altering that would cause problems if the player evolved it before climbing a tower so I left it alone. You can always hack in the other Urshifu with PKHex.
 
How much of crown tundra playable like I just finished the first legendary clue but get a message stating that I can't challenge Calyrex until I become champion ? Is is the same with the other legendary clues and is it just that the dlc areas area explorable up to a certain point until you hit a limitation set by the game ?

Calyrex is postgame and is a requirement from the game but the initial battle and horse battle are intended during the story. You can get Cosmog after the horse battle. The other two clues can be completed in full as part of the main story as long as you can catch lv30 / lv50 Pokemon. It's recommended for after 3 + 6 gym badges respectively but you can technically get the hoenn regis after 2. The swords of justice stuff is postgame and that is required by the game as well.
 
Version 1.2.0 has been released. This update brings even more Mart changes including the following:

Motostoke now has Master Ball (for 1 million pokedollars) and Cherish Ball
Fields of Honor now has everything related to breeding and training Pokemon (except for mints; which remain in hulbury's dedicated mint store)
Freezington's Peddler now has single use consumable held items like weakness policy, air balloon and psychic seed - all at 1/10th of the original price so you can buy a whole stack and effectively use them in game
Wyndon's southern mart now has all non-consumable held items; from life orbs, to leftovers, to type boosting items, things like light clay and grip claw. they're all here
The berry seller in Wedgehurst now sells every kind of berry; once again to enable the player to use more strategies
The herb seller in Hulbury now sells Berry Juice, Sweet Hearts and other Lava Cookie-esque items like Petwer Crunchies
All main Pokemarts now sell Max Revive, Ethers and Elixirs

for whatever reason, every time i try to nickname the static encounter eevee from rt 2, the game crashes! i can catch it normally and everything, but in the nickname screen, after i enter a name, it crashes; it also crashes if i catch it and try to nickname it later at the pokemon center. any ideas why this is happening?

Just tested myself but it worked fine for me, so likely an emulator issue or some kind of glitch. Not something I can fix, I'm afraid.
