Another patch released, fixes Frosty Times Cave not being enterable.

New Update v1.34

This update adds a new extreme challenge mode called Rage Mode

Rage Mode adds these changes:
Items sell for less.
Daycare is more expensive to use.
Pokémon have a chance to die when a battle concludes and they are fainted (not just the battle they fainted in).
Pokémon Centers cost money to heal.
The PC no longer heals your Pokémon.
You gain less prize money.
You gain less experience.
Your opponents have slightly higher level Pokémon than base game.
Your opponents are harder by having slight stat increases.

seems good, however I can't scale the game up and when I try to it just turns black, so I can either choose to be unable to see anything or be unable to see anything and both options are preferable

figured it out, was an issue with my graphics settings overriding the game causing it to go all black

In the post game I found an area where I'm supposed to make 4 pillars fall but only 3 are there and examining them simply mentions defeating ??? at various locations. Is there a 4th opponent hidden I need to fight? It's the far right square with no pillar.
