One of the most pivotal game series in my life has to be the third generation of Pokémon games. The concept and ethos behind Pokémon Ghostflower is to re-create the magic of Pokémon's Generation III in my own vision, through the realms of gameplay, humour and music.

If you're looking for the new, flashiest fan-game, or a convoluted, dark, storyline, there's dozens of others on this forum. My intentions aren't to make a wildly popular, influential or mind-blowing game. Pokémon Ghostflower isn't a project about building hype or making a huge impact on this community. This is just one young music composition major's interpretation of what Pokémon means to them, and if you're interested in the experience, then you're more than welcome to join me.

Introduction and Storyline:

Keann. A subtropical paradise close to the Pokémon world's equator. Surrounded on both sides by mountains, and intercepted by a strait between two oceans, the region was created 65 million years ago, by the massive impact of an asteroid that almost wiped out all life on the Pokémon world. It was this impact that allowed the rise of Pokémon as we know them today, with Keann now being home to hundreds of species of plants and Pokémon.

Keann is home to dense forests, mountains, deserts, tropical islands and bustling metropolises, as well as small towns where nature and people live in harmony. Keann is a diverse land teeming with life and demanding its exploration — all in the shadow of the huge asteroid that carved out this region millions of years ago.

In the small town of Lipthorn, two young children - yourself and your rival, Dylan - set out on their journey to become Pokémon Trainers. Receiving their Pokédexes from Professor Acacia - along with an unofficial mission to document every Pokémon in Keann - the pair set out to explore the vast landscape of Keann.

Your story begins like any other, but as more of Keann opens up, you learn of dark forces at play behind the scenes. Battling Gyms, exploring the region and making new friends, you will uncover a conspiracy that will shake Keann to its very core. The criminal gangsters of Team Ashen, the Keann Pokémon League, the covertly sinister Legends Corporation, a mysterious rival you encounter on your journey, and the spirit of a Pokémon contained within the asteroid that carved out the Keann region itself...
