Not sure if this is the right place to ask, but does anyone know where the NPC Santos shows up on Saturday? I have all 8 badges and access to all the areas in the region (that I know of, at least), but I cannot find him for the life of me, even after searching the place twice.

EDIT - Finally found them the following week. Someone created a wiki for this hack, so I made a page for the siblings in case anyone else needs help finding them - https://pokemon-gold-silver-97.fandom.com/wiki/Week_Siblings

Anyone know where to find TM29 (Psychic)?

The guide for a v7.10 version mentions TMs being found in the Kanto Region Mart, but the TMs to be bought are only 10/11/17/18/37. By comparison, the ones "missing" include 15/32/29.

Was curious if I'm overlooking or are they post-game expansions to the existing Nihon region marts?

EDIT: Oh of course... I forgot to check (ding) the casino prizes. Boardwalk Casino has no TMs, so all that's left is the Kanto Casino!
NOTED: All are there, but for a hefty penny (sheesh).

On to try and catch legendary dogs...
Noticed how SUICUNE had an 'Aqua Tail' (prevents burn) item upon capture - I'm guessing all dogs have a chance of holding onto these rare items?
Sadly saved before checking Entei and noticed it had nothing (oof); guessing a 'Fire Tail' to prevent frozen effect, and suspecting Raikou has an item to prevent paralysis.

I tried the original Pokémon Gold '97 and Super Gold '97 ROM hacks, but I just couldn't get into them because of the forced beta type chart. But booting this up and seeing the option to use the real, finalized type chart right away makes me REALLY invested in this ROM hack. And, you know, having full GBC colors isn't bad, either.

THAT alongside missing out on checking the 'possible item' theory on my already caught Entei and Raikou, I took the plunge to erase my +70hr save file and restart all over again. At least now I can manage my time better knowing which members I'll begin raising. Currently writing in Notepad to make a (general) walkthrough to see any differences from the Super Gold guide (the 'Aqua Tail' existence and TMs not found in Kanto Region's mart are to name a few).

FUN FIND: After confirmation of 'Aqua Tail,' fun to learn that there're hold items that just prevent specific statuses from happening.
Aqua Tail (called Water Tail in a SG97 guide): prevent burns (only found on Suicune [as of previous save file]; suspecting other WATER-types w/ tails [Goldeen, Mantine, Seel])
Confuse Claw/Calm Seed: prevents confusion (Sandshrew / Hoppip)
Fire Tail: prevent freeze (Tritales; supposedly Vulpix and Ponyta)
Snakeskin/Pretty Tail: prevent poison (Ekans and Arbok / Eevee)
Stimulus Orb: prevent sleep (Hoothoot and Voltorb)
Thunder Tail/Earthen Clay: prevent paralysis (Mareep, Flaffy, Kotora / Diglett and Dugtrio)

Is anyone else having an issue with the PokéDex where it loads the second page of a caught Pokémon's description and refuses to display the first page? It's the same on VBA and on my 3DS with LameBoy.

I've been playing thru my R4 card and haven't noticed anything other than the occasional slowdown (when music drags) that happened during game saves whether I switch boxes in my PC or saving my current progress.

Supposed anyone went thru Route 108 yet? Lost my place taking notes and forgot to jot down what pokemon LASS DANA (first trainer on the route from ALLOY CITY) had.

Her first was a Lv29 Flaffy and forgot to write down what her second one and its level.

PERSONAL GRIPE: Browsing thru Gold/Silver/Crystal info regarding move pools and stumbled upon trouble...

Been raising a Tyrogue to Hitmonlee (currently at Lv24) and JUST realized there's NO in-game way to teach it 'Rolling Kick' which going by Serebii's pokedex and the Super Gold '97 pokedex (kinda similar), both mention Hitmonlee being able to learn RK by Lv11. But to my knowledge on breeding it's impossible to get a Lv5 Hitmonlee via Egg...

Turns out in Pokemon Stadium 2, there IS a Move Relearner that's able to teach moves found within evolved Pokemon (ex: Hitmonlee/chan/top) that're not found from their previous evolutions (ex: Tyrogue). I sadly don't have the ability to convert my save file onto a GBC cartridge to attempt this feat w/ a ROM hack.

If the creator or team associated, THIS I think would be a significant one-up on the Super Gold '97 version if there's a way to implement this PK Stadium 2 mechanic within your ROM hack for any future update.

There were a few moments in the game where I wished there was a move re-learner, too. Catching a level 28 Eevee and evolving it into Umbreon right there would deprive it of Sludge and Screech, making my only alternative to breed and start with a level 5 Eevee. Thank Arceus for LameBoy's speedup function, but it's besides the point.

Might I suggest downloading Pokémon Crystal Clear, starting with a Tyrogue who will have Hi Jump Kick and Mach Punch, and progressing to the point where you can trade to this game. I know for a fact that copies of this game can trade between themselves with no ill-effects, but Crystal Clear was made specifically to be compatible with the original games. If you can link them together and have no Nihon Pokémon in your party or anything impossible by CC's standards that would freak the game out, you might just be able to do it. Get your CC Tyrogue into this game, and start breeding new ones with Egg Moves.

I know there's a paid ad-on for VBA or something that allows you to link two running instances together to trade, but just download MyOldBoy for Android and it's got a free linking function. Not sure if it's on iOS, but it very well might be. A lot of hoops to run through for one Pokémon, I know, but PKHeX doesn't work with ROM hacks as advanced as this one, so...

I mean it's no biggie at the moment. I don't NEED to have Pokemon I'm looking for with the exact moveset(s) in any timely fashion. I just wanted to vent/inform about the inevitable stumbles found in this ROM hack (or Gen 2 really). It's more of a novelty I'd like to entertain after beating the Elite Four by have a differing team to raise. As of pre-Elite Four, there honestly aren't that many level up movepools that are diverse enough early game to my liking. And w/o a formal move guide to this exact ROM hack, some movepools are crapshoots, esp from the stone/item evolutions.

Otherwise IF such move tutors were found in-game there wouldn't be the need to go thru all this extra effort...

Ex: I think Girafarig is the only PKM that can learn 'Shadow Ball' by leveling up (as of typing this) and there're a few "better" Poison-types (ex: both Nido- families, Zubat family, Gastly family) that can't even learn 'Sludge Bomb' either naturally (leveling up) or by TM (kinda strange imo). While Exeggcute is able to level up learn 'Giga Drain' and 'Psychic' in this ROM (pretty nice) compared to the not-Reforged version.

Edit: Ivysaur confirmed to perform 'Sludge Bomb' via Imposter Oak fights, so in turn showing possible changes than from SG97 Pokedex.

    NEW(?) BUG:
When you get 30 points on your 'Blue Card' key item from Buena's password, she will give you her number for your PokéGear. HOWEVER, her number is addressed under 'Grunt: Beauty' and when answered (if there're bars to receive calls), your game glitches.

UPDATE: At least on Route 120 (left of TEKNOS CITY), the glitch will activate RANDOMLY after a battle in the wild, forcing you to take a call and activating the glitch. Need to explore more areas. Need to learn if this can happen in other areas

Game has been updated with various changes, including sprites such as the fledgling (which has bothered me personally for a long time now!) and some pokemon sprites. Some difficulty, stats, and other things have been changed aswell.

The beginning gives you an IPS file - it's a PATCH file.

You need a patch program to layer over a Pokemon Crystal ROM (I used a USA [Rev A] version for my v5.0). Guess I'm gonna have to start from the beginning (again) to find any changes for Reforged Guide.
