Emerald hack: Pokémon Inclement Emerald: A Decomp Difficulty Hack [Version 1.13]

Hey thanks for updating the level caps for each mode. I recently fought lucy, and i saw the bug that battling her shuckle makes your pokemon lose their items. In the list, it is listed that putting the pokemon back into the PC fixes the bug, i did that but the soft sand on my palossand and exp share on metagross didnt return. I even placed them in PC, went out of Pokemon Centre and went back in. Nothing happened 😅
 
Hi, I noticed that Butterfree and Ledian have been given access to Fly in this hack. Is there any chance that the same may be done to Beautifly? It would be helpful for Nuzlockes if it is the only Flying pokemon that you captured early on.

I HATE Gen 8's experience share not because it exists, but because there is no option to turn it off. It completely screws with my head, and completely screws up how I've trained my party for more than two decades of playing Pokemon. I appreciate that this one is weaker than Gen 8's system, but the fact that there is no option to turn it off is greatly disappointing to me.

Outside that however, I *have* been otherwise enjoying this so far, and am currently on my way to Dewford Town.

Unfortunately disabling that turns the hack into a colossal grind fest or makes it unfair, as trainers are designed around the rather steep level curve it creates. That doesn't really matter so much later in the game as the level scaling takes care of it, but in the early game it causes issues, as enemy movesets and items don't scale down if you're under-levelled. I don't want to add endless options in an attempt to appease everyone, as that's just not possible (there'll always be some part of the hack that someone won't like, it's only natural) and in this case it would create a balancing headache that I can't justify spending time on over fixing bugs etc.

Hope you enjoy the rest of the hack anyway though!

No problem! I'm still unable to replicate this bug in any battle, so no idea if that really works/only works for some people, that's just what someone mentioned in the bug report.

Sure, guess I just missed Beautifly when adding fly to more mons!

In the Fallarbor PokeMart. You can read the "Item locations" PDF included in the release zip. You can CTRL + F to find specific items.

He has a timeline with no confirmed dates for the upcoming changes he wants to add on the first page of this thread, under "What's next". He has a list of bugs and fixes on the first page of this thread as well, if you scroll down to "Bugs".

I'm currently working on getting gen 8 finished for the battle engine and trying to track down this bad egg bug. After that I'll fix up some of the bigger bugs in the battle engine, then get back to working on IE itself. Chances are there will be quite a few 1.9.x releases for bugs, or even a 1.10 before 2.0 is ready.
 
Hey everyone, I'm coming to ask a different sort of question. If someone else has already asked this in the thread at some point, my apologies for repeating a question.

My friend and I live in different states in the US so we're pretty far apart, if that matters, but we'd like to connect and battle each other! I absolutely love this hack and so does he, but we aren't sure if there's an efficient method for this or not. So far all we know as a possibility is one of us sending the other our save file and that person loading up the game twice on the same computer and streaming, but that's pretty clunky. Is there a better way to battle each other? We have hamachi if that would be a useful tool in this endeavor. Thanks for any help!
 
Hi, I've been playing the hack for a while now and loving it. Tho, there's something I need to ask, is there a list of what abilities currently not working? I only saw a note in the changelog in the github about M Kangaskhan's Parental Bond not working but I also notice Salazzle's/Salandit's Corrosion doesn't work as well? I've tried both using moves with chance to poison and moves that guaranteed poison, and in the case of guaranteed poison move the move itself "happens", not saying it's failed, but the poison doesn't trigger.

Sorry if it turns out not a bug tho.

Thanks! Corrosion and Illusion (vs. the AI only - it works fine if they have it) should be the only obtainable ones that don't work at the moment; Parental Bond is 99% working (only things that don't work are Parental Bond boosted Relic Song and Secret Power). I've already fixed Corrosion but it's not in a release yet. There may be some buggy abilities as the engine is still a WIP, but they should mostly work as expected.

Ey thanks for the response! I see so it was indeed bugged, I thought there's some changes to the ability I did not notice in the PDF or something. I'm looking forward to the next version release, hope it goes well.

Tho honestly I thought AI behavior not affected by Illusion was intentional for Hard and Challenge difficulties lol.
 
I make a save state in front of Rayquaza to make soft reset and try to get the shiny, i already make a LOT of resets, at least 3500, and nothing, i want to know if there is actually any chance to get it

I tried to use that method too, but I don't think you can actually "soft reset" using save states. You have to actually press A + B + start + select. I am saying because I tried to do it twice using save states and gave up after 3 days each (probably trying 1-2 hours each day planning it so I have to press minimal buttons and on 8x speed, not sure exactly how many "soft resets").
 
Man, am playing the hack and getting my butt kicked constantly, I DID choose Hard mode tho... You weren't kidding when you recommended grinding EVs xD I don't feel the game is unfair despite the hard time I'm having. The only thing I'm having some hard time is fixing the EVs rn, since I only get acess to the berries for now and I always forget where I planted them ;-; . Just reached Mauville City, so it might become easier once I reach the city with the EV guy. I do have some ideas for new moves/abilities/megas, but I will only talk about them once you ask for this type of feedback xP Anyways, I'm really happy with the hack overall, can't wait to see gen 8 and the missing mons (specially for Unown since you mentioned it was getting some unique things) >w<
