Ah, I finally understand how the abilities work.

Truth be told I think that's actually enough for me to put the game down. Limiting it to gen 3 abilities like that cuts out such a massive amount of viability for various Pokémon that it makes team building less dynamic and more just a game of checks and balances.

I had fun in the time I played, though, I just don't feel like investing a ton of time into the game knowing how limited my team building is gonna be by the lack of abilities.
