Pokémon Kanto Adventures

Storyline_________________________________________________________

The world is full of mysterious creatures known as Pokémon, humans live alongside of these diverse creatures. Some people play with Pokémon, others battle with them. Our story begins in the region of Kanto, a large and modern region which is home to many different types of Pokémon. The region originally only had 151 Pokémon, but now the region is home to Pokémon of almost every species.

Pallet Town is known as the clean village of new beginnings. Today is the date where the greatest mind of Pokémon science retires, Professor Samuel Oak. He has scheduled to take a trip to the Sinnoh region to meet up with his collegue, Professor Rowan. Professor Oak has left his Grandson Gary Oak in charge of the lab, it is his duty to give inspiring Pokémon trainers their very first Pokémon.

The Kanto region is a region of great beauty, but there is something threatening the very existance of this region. Two years ago Team Rocket and Team Galactic were both on the verge of being destroyed, their goals were both for one thing; Power. The two leaders of both the darkest syndicates met each other in the region of Kanto when Team Galactic was searching for the legendary Pokémon, Palkia. They formed an evil syndicate known as Team Grimace which is now causing havvok all over the Kanto region.

Heres where you come in. You are a young trainer who is about to get his very first Pokémon from Gary Oak of Pallet Town and you must help stop Team Grimace before they complete their task of taking over the beautiful Kanto region.

Rules___________________________________________________________

1. All Pokécommunity rules apply, obey them or receive a warning.
2. No bunnying. (Doing something as someone elses character without permission)
3. No Godmodding, nobody is perfect so don't try to be.
4. No meeting main characters such as Ash. Hes dead and I killed him.
5. Respect all other roleplayers in this thread.
6. Accept constructive critism. If I give it you don't take it to heart and learn from it.
7. A minimum of three paragraphs in each post. My replies may be shorter, but that is acceptable under Pokécommunity rules.

Finding Pokémon/Items___________________________________________

Finding Pokémon is simple. You walk along a route, and say a bush shakes or something pops out. I will then state what it is. This also applies with items. e.g. if you kick something on the floor while on Route 01 I could claim it's an Ultraball.

Capturing Pokémon is just as simple, I will state if you capture the Pokémon or not once you have thrown the ball. The more you weaken the enemy, the higher the chance of capture. Shinies will be harder to capture, though.

On the matter of Wildcards, your application must be pretty darn good to get that wildcard. You can only choose the first evolutionary form of the Pokémon you like, this includes baby forms. For example, if you wanted a Chansey you would have to apply for Happiny.​

History: Grecko lives in a decent sized house at the outskirts of viridian city. He and his family moved their from hoenn, when he was only 4. For the past two years now his father has been teaching him battling techniques and skills for the day that he starts out on his own journey. That day has finaly arrived and his father is probably more excited than Grecko himself is. Thats why Grecko looks at this day as the day he finaly moves out from under his fathers shadow.

Description: Grecko stands not very tall at 5'5. He is fairly well built in muscle size and contains really no fat on his body. He has spikey brown hair, with a golden tip in the front. He has green eyes and most girls tend to fall for his eyes.

He is a very friendly kid and will almost do anything he can to help a friend. He will even stop to help a stranger. He is very competitve when it comes to pokemon though, and its probably due to his father.

History: Jake's parent's died in a car crash when Jake was the age of 9. Being adopted by foster parent's, he had 4 brothers and 3 sisters. Most of his siblings bullied him, saying he was to childish to ever be a pokemon trainer.

As he grew older, He started to study pokemon. Many people called him a "Pokenerd". He started to have a dream to become a trainer, to prove his brothers and sister's wrong.

Now, his dream is going to come true as he recieves his first pokemon and begins his journey!

Description/personality: Jake is a little hot headed, and seems to get ticked off easily. He is always trying to be funny, and to make friends with people around him. When he is not out making friends, he is doing research on pokemon from his computer.

Oh, and in case I didn't metion, he almost died in the car crash where his parent's died. Sometimes he has vivid memories and horrid flashback's, and when he does he seems to space out and he seems to be very tired and hungry when he snaps out of his trances.

He normally wears a t-shirt and shorts in the summer. He has excellent swimming skills since his house has a pool, where he swims sometimes. In cold conditions, he wears a sweatshirt with jeans. He has blue hair and dark blue eyes.

While the sea was interesting, he longed to see more. And so he tried. He tried to build a raft, went out to sea, and made it out for no more than thirty minutes before a Gyardose attacked. The vicious water serpent caused him to get a huge gash on his arm.

If a travelling trainer hadn't found him in time, he might have died. Ever since then, his parents have kept him close to home, almost to the point of suffocation. Because of this, Sean rebelled as much as he could, getting on the nerves of countless adults. It seems Sean isn't the only one thankful he can become a trainer.

Description: Sean has blond hair that goes down to his shoulders. He constantly wears a beany. Despite usually looking mischievious, Sean's face can seem rather plain looking, often resulting in him looking like a stoner, which he isn't. Sean is exceptionally tall, and even though he's 17, he's taller than most of his classmates, ranging at 6ft 3in.

Sean's body is exceptionally lanky, and the little muscle he has doesn't show, much to his irritation. Sean always wears ripped blue jeans and a black and gray stiped shirt, along with his black beanie. When it get's cold, he throws on a jacket and is ready to tackle whatever he's going for.

History: She was born in Pallet town and has lived there her whole life. As a kid her favorite thing to do was visit her grandfather( Professor Oak) Lab. She would often study under him and learn many pokemon facts. She would play with all the little pokemon. Her favorite pokemon were always water and flying types. After her grandfather was called away she was sad at first until she learned that her cousin Gary was taking over she was overjoyed. She loved her cousin and his amazing pokemon. She looked up to him when he got in the pokemon league she watched every one of his battles. he was her biggest hero. He always referred to her as "squirt" so often times you would find her walking around pretending to be a Squirtle. Finally after years of waiting she heard the words "you should go on your own journey squirt." Her eyes lit up that day. Unfortantly he had already given away Squirtle. She instead received a Farfetchd which made her just as happy because she had always wanted one. Thats where her journey began.
Description: Emilee has long dark brown hair that she has tied back in a braid that has pink strings running all through it and stretches down to her waist. She is pale skinned with light green eyes that sparkle in the light. She is tall for her age and gender at 5'4 she is almost as tall as her cousin. She wears a short sleeved white shirt with ruffles on the edges and a pink pokeball icon in the center. her shorts are a brownish tan and end just above her knees.(yes they are knickerbockers) She has a brown single strap bag with a green pokeball icon that holds all her items. it has two pockets where she keeps her pokedex and extra pokeballs. Around her neck she wears a miniture brown feather pendant with small sparkles at the end, given to her by her mother.

Emilee has always been a bit of a dits but comes through when situations get tough. She is very loyal to both friends and pokemon always ready to defend them when needed. There is nothing that makes her more angry then when someone insults her friends or her pokemon abilities. He timed himself to get ready and go downstairs. He got downstairs in 56 seconds. "New record!" he yelled as he went out the door. "Dont you want to eat breakfast before you leave?" Asked his mother. "Save it, i'll eat it later!" said Jake, still running to Gary's Lab.

When he got to the lab, Gary greeted him with a warm welcome. "If you would please sit down at the table over there.." Gary did not have to Ask twice. Jake was over there in a split second.

Now that I am thirteen cousin Gary giving me my first ever pokemon!" her mom smiled but a tear fell from her eye. "Yes but I had hoped you would stay a while longer." Emilee looked at her mom sympathetically. "Mom
I have waited long enough. Besides you have uncle Jerry to help you around the house now." Emilees mom nodded sadly. "Okay honey but please just promise me you will be careful." "I will mom. Dont worry I will have Fetcher to protect me." Again her mom nodded. "I have something I want to give you..." she pulled out a small brown case. "Open it up." Emilee looked at her mom with a bit of surprise and took the case. she opened it slowly. Inside was a necklace. "Its beautiful!" she cried. "Your father gave that to me when we had you. He told me that one day...you would set off on your own take flight. Notice the shape?" Emilee looked at the pendant more closely she gasped. "a feather!" tears filled both their eyes. "Take care honey." "I will mom I will." she gave her mother a kiss and walked from the house a bag on her shoulder. She felt sad to be leaving but also excited. She rushed over to Garys lab. she walked insiode and noticed another trainer. "Oh hello." she said then turned to her cousin. "Im ready." she walked over and sat down by the other trainer.

Okay, a few minor errors. These have been corrected by me. A new paragraph each time somebody else speaks and a fullstop, questionmark or exclamation mark at the end of somebody speaking. Words such as don't need to have an appostrophe placed in them. Also note sometimes you use the word 'its'. If 'its' could mean 'it is' then it will need an appostrophe. An example of this would be "Hey, it's George!".

Other than that, a good start. Remember, atleast two large paragraphs per roleplay post.

Professor Gary Oak was wearing a white lab coat, he knew that Jake had came to him to get his first Pokémon. This was the first time he had given a Pokémon out to a novice trainer so he knew that he had to remember his Grandfathers advice and finish the job professionally like he was told to.

"Okay, I am presuming you're Jake and that you're here to receive your starter Pokémon." said Gary Oak with a grin on his face.

Gary Oak could tell from Jakes serious expression that this was correct. He quickly ran into the back room and came back with a large metal push-trolley with a Pokéball with a water symbol on it.

"This is the Pokémon that you reserved, am I correct? I caught it not too long ago and it should be a great starter Pokémon." said Gary Oak.

Gary Oak pulled out a Pokédex and a starter item set for the novice trainer. This set contained many decent items that he could use on his journey.

Theres some minor typing errors, I would reccomend to you guys that you google Open Office and download it since it's useful for correcting all typing errors and minor gramatical errors.

"Why, if it isn't squirt!" said Gary with a grin on his face.

Gary had just given a Poliwag out to another trainer and he had just the Pokémon for the next trainer. Emilee liked flying types so Gary Oak had gone out two days ago and caught a Farfetch'd in Viridian Forest just for her. He tested this flying type to the peak of its very limits in preperation for Emilee since the lab had never given out a flying type and he needed to make sure that it was an acceptable choice for a novice trainer.

"Well, I caught this in Viridian Forest. One second..." said Gary as he walked off into the other room and then came back with another metal trolley, just like the one that was used to carry all of Jakes items and his Pokémons Pokéball.

Gary Oak came back with a starter pack and a Pokéball. "Inside this Pokéball the most awesome flying type you're gonna get, Squirt" said Gary.

He handed her the Pokéball that contained Farfetch'd and the starter pack.

BIC: Emilee looked at her cousin with awe. "No way this is so cool! Its Farfetchd right? Thank you so much. I promise you I will take care of it. I may even beat you in a poke match some day!" She smiled up at him. "Bye Gary! I hope to se you again soon,and when I do I will have a trophy just for you!" she ran from the lab excited to begin on her new journey. "This ought to be an interesting adventure." she said to herself. then she remebered "Oh yeah I better let Fetcher out of his pokeball." She took the pokeball and said "Come on out Fetcher!" She stood there for a moment waiting for something to happen. "Huh?" she tossed teh pokeball up in the air. "Fetcher come on out!" this time the pokeball opened. She fell backwards in surprise. "fetch!" cried the pokemon. Emilee stood back up and walked over to Farfetchd. "Hey! So your farfetchd huh? Lets see what Dex has to say about you.." she pulled off her bag and accidenlty dropped it. "Oh no!" she cried. Farfetchd walked over to her it looked like it was laughing. "Hey this is not funny." she picked up the items one by one and put them back. She noticed her moms case. "Oh! I forgot about that." she picked up the case and opened it. The necklace sat inside still shiny. She slowly pulled it out and attached it to her neck. "There tahts better she said. Then she grabbed the pokedex. Okay what does it have to say about you." She opened it up. Her grandpa had shown her how to use it when she was little. She was not surprised to hear the electronic voice say "Farfetchd: The sprig of green onions it holds is its weapon. It is used much like a metal sword." she glanced back at her farfetchd who was staring at her a perplexed look on its face. "Ok Fetcher are you ready to go on an adventure with me." "fetch" Farfetched screeched and Emilee smiled. "Ok then lets be off." Farfetchd followed behind obediantly and they were off.

"Awesome, thanks Professor" said Jake. I might visit sometimes, it depends. Jake walked outside. Suddenly, Jake got an idea. Jake sent out poliwag. Poliwag looked at Jake, then started to walk off. "Whoa", said Jake. "I think you would want to swim since your a water pokemon right?"

"Poli?" answered Poliwag.

"Well, come with me, i can put you in my swimming pool." said jake.

"Poliwag!" said Poliwag excitedly.

When Poliwag and Jake got to the house, And Jakes mom saw the poliwag, she gasped. "It's cute. Is that your new and very first pokemon?" asked his mom.

"Yeah, can he swim in our pool?" asked Jake.

"Sure" said his mom.

At that moment, one of his brothers walked down. He gasped, then probably went upstairs to tell the others. Jake let his poliwag swim in the pool for about 30 minutes.
When poliwag was done, Jake wrapped up Poliwag in a towel.

After being bullied by his siblings again, he walked outside. "Sorry you had to experience that poliwag." said Jake. His mother was standing outside crying. "Whats wrong mom?"
asked jake.

"After all you've been through, you still choose to become a pokemon trainer. Im so proud of you!" and she burst into tears.

After saying goodbye to his mother, Jake went off to route 101.

"Ahhhhhh, what a night," Grecko yawned as he woke up and began putting on his traveling clothes. "Sweet todays the day i get my first pokemon!" he shouted with joy as he headed down the stairs into his living room. "Well son are you ready?" his father asked him noticing the boy leaving the house. "Yes I am!" Grecko said smiling to his father. "Good now get going and make me proud" the father said as he patted his son on the back.

After leaving his house Grecko made his way to Gary Oak's lab and stood outside the door for a few seconds. "Hmm well todays the day i get out from under my fathers shadow" Grecko thought to himself as he entered the lab. He noticed the proffesor with a cart of pokeballs and made his way over to him.
