OOC: How exactly do you want me to space out my paragraphs? I do it everytime a new person talks or the detailed paragraph get's too long...
Sean grinned as he saw a small pokemon with many leaves on its head walk out of the bushes. It was his first meeting with a wild pokemon as a pokemon trainer! From the looks of it, it appeared to be an Oddish, and it was holding a berry in one of its many leaves on its head.
"Od oddis od," Oddish smirked, looking up at Sean.
Bringing out his pokeball, Sean threw it toward the Oddish, allowing his pokemon to appear for the first time. With a burst of white light, a small pokemon with a yellow and black striped body appeared. It had two horns on its head that sparked occasionally.
"Ele," the electric pokemon stated, beating its chest a few times as it grinned up at Sean.
"So you're my first pokemon," Sean said in wonder. "Oh shi... Look out!" he blurted as the Oddish ran at Elekid, leaves glowing green as they hit Elekid in the head and draining his energy.
"Ele," Elekid barked angrily, jumping away in irritation. It sneered at the grass type before looking back at Sean for guidance.
"Uh... what can you do?" Sean asked, giving a small shrugg in apology.
"Ele," Elekid sighed, shaking his head in amusement. Turning back to the charging Oddish, Elekid ran at Oddish at an astounding speed, knocking it back a good ways and making it go sliding across the ground.
"Oood!" Oddish cried out in pain, unsteadily getting back on its feet. It wore a determined expression as it once again charged, leaves glowing as it prepared for another Absorb attack.
"Quick, do something else!" Sean ordered quickly.
Grunting, Elekid began to pump his arms quickly, making them appear like blurred circles. "Elekid!" Elekid cried out, power generating off of him as he sent the Thundershock attack at Oddish, stopping it in its tracks for just a moment.
"Oddi!" Oddish cried angrily, slapping Elekid back with its glowing leaves, taking away more energy.
"El," Elekid growled, protecting his head with his raised arm.
"Elekid, try another Quick Attack!" Sean ordered quickly, noticing that the Thundershock attack hadn't done nearly as much damage as the Quick Attack.
Growling, Elekid charged, becoming a yellow blur as it jumped at Oddish, using his foot to kick Oddish away as he reached the grass type. "Ele!" Elekid laughed triumphantly as it landed on the ground.
"Oo," Oddish said weakly, wearing a small smirk as it reach for the berry it had dropped on the ground from the force of the attack.
"Don't let it get that!" Sean said quickly. "It'll probably heal it or something!"
Nodding in understanding, Elekid used his Quick Attack, once more become a blur to ram into Oddish just before it could pick up the berry. As Oddish bounced away, Elekid squished the berry with his foot, lloking very pleased with himself and even going so far as to stick out his tongue at the defeated Oddish and cross his arms over his chest.
"Odddish..." Oddish groaned, lying on the ground weakly. It really shouldn't have picked a fight with this trainer, even if he was a newbie...
"Uh, I know you won and all," Sean said to Elekid, "but did you really have to squish the berry? You could have eaten it yourself."
Elekid looked shocked for a moment before punching his open left hand with his right in a "Darn it!" expression. "Ele," Elekid sulked before grinned hesitently up at Sean.
Sean grinned back. "Nice to meet ya," he said easily. "I'm Sean and, as I'm pretty sure you know by now, I'm your trainer."
"Ele," Elekid laughed, rolling his eyes as he offered a handshake to Sean, which he easily accepted.
"Come on," Sean said, walking along the path and away from the battle scene, even though Oddish lay there forgotten, and toward a new beginning and new challenges. In fact, Sean was pretty sure he would meet a few more challenge's on this path before he even reach the city.
