Chapter 01_____________________________________________________

Kykaru had been outside pondering for a while about his new Pokémon. He was thirteen which was quite abit older than the age that most novice trainers get their starter Pokémon. He had decided to get a Pokémon since he had just moved from the Johto region with his parents, he had already discussed this with his parents and his parents.

He was in the town center of Pallet Town, making his way to Professor Gary Oaks lab to get his first Pokémon. His parents had contacted Gary prior to this, and he was bursting with excitement. He wondered what Pokémon he was going to get.

"Maybe a Dratini, or even an Eevee!" thought Kykaru to himself.

He eventually made his way to Garys lab, it was a large white building with a rusty wind fan turbine attached to the top of it. There was a large enclosure of land which seemed to be a place for trainers Pokémon to rest and take a break from the stresses of being trained by humans.

"Hey, over here!" yelled a voice in the distance, it was Gary. Kykaru noticed this immidetely from his rough voice. He had dark brown hair which spiked up on the ends and a white lab coat which was covered in dirt around the bottom.

Kykaru walked over to him, Gary asked him to come in and so Kykaru did just that. The lab seemed pretty quiet, there wasn't much inside other than a few machines that made occasional beeping noises and a table which was covered in papers with two fuscia sofas either side.

"Hey, Kykaru. I've got this Pokémon from the Sinnoh region, it's not very well trained so I'd reccomend that your careful." said Gary.

He quickly pulled out a tray from behind the sofa which had a grey package on it and a Pokéball with purple lines flowing around it. This Pokéball seemed very perculiar, the top of the Pokéball had the symbol of a purple eye engraved on it which was the symbol for 'Psychic' as far as Kykaru knew.

"Could I see him?" asked Kykaru, not even thinking if the Pokémon might be female.

"You mean her, this Pokémon isn't a boy." replied Gary.

He gladly replied to Kykarus request by pressing the button on the Pokéball. The ball expanded in Garys hand and then a small green Pokémon appeared in a flash of red light. It had a horn of sorts going through her head and she was wearing what seemed to be a white flowing garment.

"Okay, take your Pokédex and scan her. You'll be suprised, kid." said Gary.

Gary handed Kykaru a Pokédex, it was very light and looked just like a book. He flicked the Pokédex open and randomly pressed a few buttons in order to try scan the little Pokémon. The Pokédex let off a large white flash which stunned Kykaru and caused him to squint his eyes for a moment, before he reopened them.

"Pokédex registration vertified, Kykaru of Pallet Town selected. Ralts, the feeling Pokémon. It uses the horns on its head to sense human emotions. It is said to appear infront of cheerful people in the wild." said the Pokédex before Kykaru shut the lid on the red book-like machine.

Kykaru quickly bent down to reach eye-contact with the Ralts, he knew this was the best way to introduce himself to a Pokémon. Although, Ralts was happy just to know that she had a partner. She had been waiting for a while for a partner with Gary. Gary didn't give out Ralts since he didn't want to give it out to a young inexperienced trainer. Kykaru was most likely the best choice he could of made since Kykaru had taken care of his mothers Igglybuff for a long time while in Johto.

<Hi, I'm Ralts. Wanna play?> echoed the little Pokémons voice in Kykarus ear.

Kykaru could understand what the Pokémon was saying. This was extremely confusing to him since he had never heard of such a thing. It must of been telekenisis which was something that all Psychic types were capable of learning. Unfortunately, Kykaru didn't have a clue about what telekenisis was and how such a little Pokémon knew how to use it. All he knew was that he didn't like the echoing of the Pokémons voice in his head.

"Oh yeah. I forgot to told you but Ralts is a Psychic-type, she communicates using telekenisis so you'll have to deal with that for now." said Gary.

"Okay, thanks. I'll take this too, I guess?" asked Kykaru. It was more of a theotorical question which didn't need an answer, though.

He picked up the package and dropped all of the items inside into his backpack. There were a few Pokéballs and some other useful items. This included some food rations which could be useful, although they were all made for small Pokémon since Kykaru was still a novice.

Kykaru thanked Gary and left the lab. He quickly made his way to Route 01 to begin his journey. He was itching to find a Pokémon to battle. The little green Pokémon was plodding behind Kykaru, although her telekenisis was starting to annoy Kykaru.

<Hey, can we play now?> asked the Ralts.

"Uhh, maybe later. Look over there." said Kykaru as he pointed to a Pokémon in the distance.

To this post my reply would be -

Out in the field there weren't many Pokémon. A small flock of Spearow flew by, but any trainer should know that it would be a mistake to consider attacking these Pokémon since they were natually vicious.

In the distance Kykaru could see a small round, blue Pokémon. This Pokémon was bouncing on its rather large tail, it was a Azurill. Although cute, it was also quite dangerous. This Pokémon was bouncing around on its tail quite rapidly.

Until chapter two then.

"Ewwwww, that stinks!" said Jake. Plugging his nose, Jake said "Go Growlithe!" As the pokeball flew threw the air, Growlthe popped out. "Growlithe" said growlithe, taking a battle stance. Caterpie flung himself towards Growlithe.

"Growlithe, use Bite" said Jake. Growlithe bit caterpie when it got close enough. Growlithe shok caterpie and let go so caterpie flew into a tree. "Good job, now use bite again!" Growlithe tried, but in the nick of time caterpie jumped out of the way, leaving Growlithe to take the hit.

"Grrrrr" Growlithe growled angrily. Caterpie was already coming back for more.

"Growlithe use bite!' Said Jake. Growlithe took hold of caterpie in his mouth while caterpie was in midair, and Growlithe started to bang Caterpie against a tree. After 5 times, growlithe stopped. Caterpie was clearly knocked out, And Growlithe seemed to be laughing at it. "Be nice Growlithe," said Jake. They walked deeper into route 01, unsure of what pokemon they would face next...

"Woah, check it out," Sean said excitedly, pointing in the distance. Off in the distance, they could see the beginning images of roof tops, signifying that they were close to the next to the next city, Veridian City.

"Ele," Elekid said with excitement, horns giving a few sparks.

Sean had noticed that as they walked and got to know each other, whenever Elekid felt a strong emotion, his horns would give out a certain spark. The sparks varied from time to time, and Sean was just beginning to tell which each spark meant. When he couldn't figure it out, he always relied on Elekid's voice to help him understand the emotion.

"Kid!" Elekid barked out suddenly, pointing to a tree. Below the tree was a pile of twigs, large bushes and dirt all clumped together. "Ele," Elekid growled as something from within the den moved about, growling back as well in agitation.

Sean grinned in excitement. "Look's like we have ourselves another challenege! Elekid, use Thundershock to help move it along."

"Ele," Elekid nodded, pumping his arms and sending out the electrical attack.

From within the bushes, the being groaned in agitation, and before Sean knew it, the bushes shook furiously as whatever it was stalked out from within it, revealing itself to be...

The bushes shook for a moment and then out popped a green horn. As this Pokémon popped out the earth began to shake for a second, as if a fissue could open up in the ground at any moment.

This tiny Pokémon was a Larvitar, they were known for eating large amounts of dirt before sleeping for several days so they could grow. Although small, Larvitar were extremely powerful and this one didn't seem weak. It quickly launched a Sandstorm attack which quickly enveloped the area. Although small, when this Pokémon came out it usuaully would defend its territory with its life.

In Route 01 there weren't many Pokémon. In the distance there was a small flock of Pidgey. This flock was being led by a Pidgeotto which was stood high in a tree, looking around for anyone who would attack the flock of bird Pokémon since most Pidgey were naturally timid.

Behind Jake something tugged his leg, this Pokémon continued to tug on his trowser pants for a moment as if to try catch his attention. To Jakes suprise, this Pokémon was a little blue Pokémon with blue antennae plopping out of his head. It was a Wooper, it quickly jumped back when Jake noticed it and began to slip and slide in the dirt, this Pokémon loved muddy waters and dirt and had came down from the lake of Viridian City to look for food.

<Hey there. Want to battle? If you win I'll join your team but if I win then you've got to share some food with me!> said the Wooper in its own native tounge.

Also, please take your time when posting a roleplay section. Try to make it as long as possible, people are making it to Viridian Forest already so you're a little behind some people. I'd also appriciate not just saying that you hit the Caterpie five or six times against the tree because that's basically godmodding. (Making your character seem stronger than it is). In the anime Caterpie could use String Shot to entrap their opponents and then they could bash them, the same rules of logic apply here. This is just like any other roleplay so please follow all of the rules.

Sean blinked in shock as the ground shook, almost as if a fissure would open up at any moment. A hole appeared in the ground, and a small, green pokemon with a horn on its head appeared. It looked up at Sean with eyes that seemed covered in tribal paint.

"Lar!" it screeched out, stomping the ground and sending a fierce Sandstorm everywhere.

Sean guarded his eyes, gritting his teeth in annoyance. "Stop it with Thundershock!" he bellowed out.

Elekid was in the same position as him, covering his face with his arm with a look of annoyance. "Ele," Elekid grunted, pumping his arms and sending the electrical attack toward the green pokemon.

The shocking attack hit true, but as the attack simply surrounded the green pokemon in a burst of yellow light, it gave an angry jerk, dispelling it. "Larv," it grunted lowly, giving a soft smile.

"El," Elekid winced as the Sandstorm brushed roughly against his skin.

"What the..." Sean trailed off, quickly whipping out his pokedex and pointing it at the pokemon.
*image removed* Larvitar, the rock/ground pokemon. It eats soil to gain nutrients, and once it has eaten a mountain it will go to sleep and grow.

"So that explain's it," Sean muttered.

"Taaar!" Larvitar called out, using Sean's and Elekid's distraction to its advantage. "La!" With a burst of speed, it charged at a surprised Elekid, chomping down hard on the poor electric type's arm.

"Leeee!" Elekid screamed, flailing his arm dramatically.

"Get it off!" Sean ordered hurriedly, worried for his pokemon.

"Ele! Ele! Ele!" Elekid snarled, and with each "Ele!" it slammed the still biting Larvitar against a tree, causing its back to become littered with bruises.

"Tar," Larvitar mumbled, finally letting go as it could no longer take the beating on its back. It had lasted a good slams, but now was not the time to take unnecessary damage.

"Kiiid," Elekid growled in anger, eyebrow twitching in annoyance from not only the harsh sand surrounding them, but the bite mark appearing on its arm.

"Hit it with a Quick Attack!" Sean ordered.

"Kid!" Becoming a blur, Elekid charged, surprising the ground type with its speed, and bashing right into it and sending it sliding back a bit.

"Tar," Larvitar said in annoyance, rubbing its belly in annoyance. "Tar!" It charged, mouth wide in preparation for another Bite attack.

"Don't let it reach you," Sean told Elekid. "You've got the speed, so hit it first!"

Nodding, Elekid let out a spark of irritation as it charged in a blur, ramming into Larvitar once more.

"Tar," Larvitar barked, digging its feet into the ground to keep it steady. With a dark grin, Larvitar jumped at Elekid before it could retreat, clamping down on the same arm.

Elekid's shriek was absolutely ridiculious. It was loud, high, and echoed around the open area. "Ele! Ele! Ele!" Elekid cried out, eyes wide with anger and slightly watery from the pain as he bashed Larvitar into the tree like last time.

Sean's eyes narrowed slightly as he saw some drool cover Elekid's arm from Larvitar's open mouth. "Quick, try a Thundershock!" he cried out quickly.

Elekid, eager for anything that might help, let out the brightest and most powerful Thundershock it had ever created. "Eeeeeleee!" Elekid roared, body sparking with power as he unleashed the energy.

Larvitar's eyes were wide, body twitching with pain as it let out an unheard scream, mouth releasing Elekid's arm and falling to the ground. "Laa..." Larvitar panted, holding its stomach and looking a little wobbily on its feet.

Sean grinned. "Your skin may be immune to electricity, but your inside's aren't," Sean said a bit snidely. "Alright, Elekid, let's try another Quick Attack!"

Elekid, who had been previously holding his arm with a pitiful expression, snapped at attention and charged at Larvitar in a blur, revenge evident in its eyes. "Eeeeeel!" Elekid screamed, kneeing Larvitar in the gut as he bashed into it. "Ele! Ele! Ele!" Elekid snarled, puncing the poor pokemon repeatedly with a fire in its eyes.

"Er, ug..." Sean mumbled, watching his pokemon warily, barely noticing the effects of the Sandstorm disappearing.

"Tar. Tar. Tar," Larvitar grunted with each punch, curling into a ball.

"Ele! Ele! Ele!" Elekid snarled, arms tensed angrily as it finally moved away, the bite mark now turning into a black and blue mark. Nodding at the damage done to the poor ground type, Elekid nodded in satisfaction and folded his arms, clearly pleased.

"Uh..." Sean blinked and shook his head. Fumbling with a pokeball, he quickly threw it at the traumatized ground type, ignoring Elekid's look of betrayal as its foe was sucked into the pokeball where it began to shake...

The Pokéball shook from left to right before being drawn into the center, the ball clicked and the Larvitar was caught inside. This Pokémon was extremely rare and it took great pleasure in bullying those weaker than it, it took great pride in its small, yet armoured body and it would fight any trainer that would enter its territory.

The storm quickly ended, although sand was spread all over Route 01 from the battle. The trainer had successfully caught an extremely rare and invaluable Pokémon. Although he had caught the Larvitar, it was quite stubborn and the Larvitar wasn't going to obey the trainer without some serious training.

-----

Since you were smart enough to achually come up with a reasonable explination of how to hurt the Larvitar with electricity you've caught it. Most people would just either run or godmod, but you did neither of those things which is good to hear. I'm adding this little powerhouse to your team right now.

Sean gave a loud whoop on excitement as the pokeball stopped shaking and ended with a 'ding', signifying a successful capture. "Alright!" he cheered.

"Ele," Elekid muttered, looking away with disdain.

"Aw, don't be like that, Elekid," Sean said, leaning down and looking at Elekid in the eye. "Larvitar was one strong little guy, and I'm sure you learned a lot from this tough battle." Grudgingly, Elekid nodded. "Now, I know it might take a while, but I'm sure you and Larvitar will become friends.

"Kid," Elekid scoffed, turning away.

Shaking his head, Sean returned his tired pokemon back inside the pokeball, eagerly trudging toward the visible city. Although the battle was over, and the Sandstorm had gone away, sand lay about everywhere on the grass and dirt path, making the route have a really odd spot. Shrugging, Sean hurriedly walked toward the pokemon center, eager to get his pokemon healed.

"Hello, and welcome to the pokemon center," a pink haired nurse said twenty minutes later. "My name is Nurse Joy, would you like me to heal your pokemon?"

Sean grinned in thanks. "Yea, and do have a vending machine or something?"

Nurse Joy laughed. "We have a cafeteria, free of charge to all trainers. You maygo and eat while your pokemon are healing."

Fighting the urge to hug the perfectly cliched shape nurse, Sean trudged into the area where Nurse Joy pointed at, the smell of food making his mouth water. Ordering a large burger with many fries and a water, Sean eagerly wolfed down the food.

Sean rested for a good hour before finally retrieving his pokemon. "Have a good day," Nurse Joy called.

"Thanks, and you too!" Sean called out, coming outside.

Looking around, Sean wondered if he should do anything around here. The gym was closed, he had already gone to the pokemon center, and he wasn't low on supplies...

"Might as well head on to the next route," Sean mumbled to himself, fixing his backpack on his shoulder's as he walked toward the grassy route.

He had passed a strange old man early that was slumped on the ground like a hobo drinking coffee, and the thought had distracted him as he walked. With his mind elsewhere, Sean wasn't paying attention, and knew he would be regretting that when he heard a loud snarl from the thing he just stepped on. Looking around, Sean noticed what it was...

Emilee smiled. "This should be an easy battle Goldeens a weak pokemon."

The old man smiled and called back. "Dont judge pokemon by their appearances some that may appear weak are actually very strong."

Emilee looked at him slightly confused but then she noticed her Farfetchd was attacking without her. "Fetcher no!" she called out, but it was already too late Farfetchd had run out to the middle of the field and jumped in the air.

The old man grinned and called out to goldeen "Deen use horn atttack!" The goldeen obeyed and flipped up intot he air hitting Farfetchd in the bottom before it had chance to hit the water.

"Fetcher!" Emilee called. Farfetchd ran around holding its back side. "Fetcher watch out!" it was too late goldeen had already come back with a painful tackle attack. Farfetchd fell to the ground knocked out.:knockedou "Oh no!" cried Emilee.

She rushed to Farfetchd side and picked him up. The old man called his Goldeen back and walked slowly over to Emilees side. "I am sorry I had to do that...let me see it a minute." Emilee still sobbing handed Farfetchd to the man. "It will be fine dont ya worry. Goldeen only parylyzed it for a bit." At that moment Farfetchd flinched and blinked its eyes it struggled in the old mans arms. He put it down on the ground. "Thats good do you have any potions with you?" Emilee stopped for a moment Farfetchd ran behind her back hiding.

"I think so..." she picked up her bag and looked inside. She remebered her cousin had given her some items before she left. "Here you go..." she handed him the potion. He smiled at her.

"Okay well I will need yer pokemon..." he said watching as Farfetchd hid further behind Emilee.

"Okay...um Fetcher its okay this man wants to help you. Come on out." Farfetchd slowly came out from hiding. He noticed the potion however and hid again. "Fetcher!" Emilee cried but it did not seem to be listening.

"Its ok...do you have any pokefood with you?" he stood up straight as he looked back at Emilee he seemed somehow younger yet still expierienced.Emilee nodded and digging in her bag pulled out a small case of poke food. She handed it to him. "Yes this will do. Fetcher is it? Come here please I only want to help you come along little one." Farfetchd slowly came out from hiding and walked to the pokefood. Tthe old man smiled. Farfetchd grabbed the food in its wing and gulped it up. "Thats a good pokemon." Farfetchd smiled up at the man and held out its wing in pain. "I see ya got a bit of a scrape there. Here this 'ill help." he sprayed the potion on Farfetchd wing. It flinched away at first, but danced up and down afterwords.

Emilee stared in amazement as well as embarassment. "Wow...uh thanks for the help."

The old man grinned at her. "Tis okay youngin happens all time. It seems ye be needing some help. Yer a first time trainer but ye need a bit of expierience." The old man stopped a minute. "Tell ya what. I'll travel with ye as far as Pewter and then ya can get some expierience from the league." Emilee looked at him astonished at what she was hearing.

"You really mean it?"she asked. Farfetchd danced excitedly around her heels.

"Of course this old sailor ne'r lies.Just tells fish tales every so of'en." The old man laughed. "Ner lass dont ya being worryin' bout me. I think a trip will suit me just fine. Lets just stop for supplies okay?"

Emilee nodded. "Thank you so much! Fetcher and I appreciate it so much."

"Fetch" cried Farfetchd in affirmative.

"Right then lets just be off. Better stop at me house or my wife be complainin'.`" The old man grinned wildly again and laughed. Emilee followed behind nodding and griinning. Already this had been a real adventure.

After winning his first actuall battle in Virdian forest Grecko decided to continue on his journey. He walked around the forest hoping he would find a bug pokemon to capture, but didn't want to get his luck up.

"Ahh this place brings back so many memories" Grecko said to himself softly as he remember the Pikachu he used to spend time with there. "Pikachu slow down!" little Grecko shouted to the Pikachu. Pikachu stopped and the boy tackled him, "Hahaha your awesome Pikachu!" Grecko said laughing. "Piii Piii" the pokemon responded. The two played together for a few more hours before a man in black came up and grabbed the Pikachu. "Hey who are you and what do you want with my friend!" Grecko shouted at the man before kicking him in the leg.

"Hmpph!" the man exclaimed before kicking the boy backwards. "Pokemon are not your friends boy. They are simply tools for battling, and the faster you learn that the better." The man said to boy before walking away with the Pikachu. Grecko watched in horro as his best friend was carried away. He did notice the R on the man's shirt and the cut under his eye. Little Grecko vowled revenge that day.

Meanwhile back in forest Grecko awakes from his daydream and see's a bush in front of him shaking. "Ahhh!" a pokemon Grecko exclaimed waiting to see what it would be.

Jake Bent down, and said to the wooper, "Hey there little guy, You want to battle?" Woop! yelled Wooper, sticking its chest out.

"Okay, but i'm not going to go easy on you. Go poliwag!" yelled Jake. Throwing poliwag's pokeball into the air.

Jake choose poliwag Because Jake knew that Growlithe was a fire type. Wooper is a water and ground type, so Growlithe wouldnt do as good as Poliwag would. Also, Poliwag had the water absorb ability, which made any water attacks wooper dished out on poliwag heal Poliwag.

"Ok Poliwag, use something, any thing!" said Jake.
Poliwag the used a move that Jake had never seen before. As the swirl on poliwag's belly swirled, a sonic ray emitted from there. As the sonic ray hit Wooper, Wooper
Yawned, and fell over, asleep. ( Hypnosis )

"Poliwag Come back! Go Growlithe!" Said Jake, switching the two out.

"Growlithe!" said growlithe coming out of it's pokeball.

"Okay growlithe, use bite to throw it into the air.

"Grow!" said Growlithe as Growlithe obeyed.

Amzingly, Wooper was still asleep!

"Use bite again!" said Jake. Growlithe ran towards Wooper, Took wooper in it's mouth, And rammed it against a tree.

Wooper was starting to wake up, and before the wooper woke up, Jake decided to use a pokeball. He waited impatiently as the pokeball shook from side to side...

Out from behind of the bush came a tiny pink Pokémon with large blue eyes. This Pokémon was a Jigglypuff, they were usually found around Pewter City but this one had found its way here somehow.

The little pink Pokémon curled up into a ball in an attempt to hide from the trainer, it was blatently obvious that it didn't want to fight. The Pokémon popped out of the ball for a moment and looked at the trainer who hadn't moved, in fear she rolled back up into the little ball and then spun at the trainer with blinding speed. She was performing a Rollout attack-- aimed at Sean!

Jigglypuff, Female, Timid Nature.

Good paragraph but try to battle more wild Pokémon, please. Bonus levels have been added to your profile.

The Pokéball turned from left to right and then centred into the middle. The Wooper was locked inside, although he wasn't happy about being cramped inside such a little ball. This tiny Pokémon was used to being in wide open spaces, swimming in dirty lakes and burrying itself knee deep in mud before going to sleep.

The Wooper was holding an item inside of its Pokéball, this particular item was an Sitrus Berry which was known for its great healing properties. The tiny Pokémon waited for a while for the trainer to open the ball, but it wasn't going to happen so the tiny Pokémon stripped the poisonious film off its body and quickly fell to sleep.

Sorry for not explaining this earlier guys, but I will be giving out levels if you defeat a Pokémon. This includes if you capture it, unlike the games. Please always view and comment on the OOC thread so you know what your levels are and if your profile is correct.

"Great, I caught it!" yelled Jake in excitement.

Suddenly, Wooper woke up inside its pokeball. It started to struggle against the ball, and suceeded. Jake let out a surprised gasp as Wooper jumped into the air. "What's wrong wooper?" asked Jake. "Is something wrong with your pokeball?"

"Woop" Wooper cried, nodding its head vigorously.

"Thats okay, you can travel with me out of your pokeball if you want."

"Woop!" Wooper yelled. After eating dinner, the pokemon and their trainer went back to the city, And decided to bunk in the pokemon center once again. Growlithe seemed to be adapting well, as well as Wooper. That next day, Jake made an announcement to his pokemon.

"Today, were going to challenge to the gym". Said Jake. "I want you guys to try your hardest, and dont hold back, got that?"

Alot of poketalk erupted. Soon they became very excited. "Okay, return!" Putting Poliwag and Growlithe back in their pokeballs.

Jake walked up to the gym. He had butterflies in his stomach, and was very nervous.
He knocked on the big steel doors.

An pokemon trainer appeared. He seemed a bit old to be a pokemon trainer, but that was fine with Jake.

"Lemme guess. You have come to challenge me."

"y y y yes" Said Jake, shaking.

"Well i accept your challenge." said the starange man.

30 minutes later, they were standing in the middle of the battlefield.....

Sean blanched. "Are you kidding me!" he growled, rolling out of the way of the giant pink pokemon. He was sure the spirits would have laughed at him if he had gotten crushed by such a girly pokemon. "Go, Elekid!" he barked, sending out the fiesty electric type.

"Ele!" Elekid grunted, punching his fists together and sparking at the horns as soon as he got released. "Ele?" Elekid question as the giant pink ball rushed at him.

"Stop it with Thundershock," Sean ordered.
"Kie," Elekid spat, looking at the pink pokemon in disgust. Pumping its arms, Elekid shot out a powerful bolt of lightning, right towards the rolling ball.

"Jiiig!" Jigglypuff screamed, breaking out of its Roll Out attack and falling flat on its face. "Jigly," it spat, charging at Elekid, prepared to Pound its life away.

"Lets try out your new attack," Sean said, grinning in eagerness. "Try out your Low Kick!"

"Kiiid!" Elekid charged, just as eager to try out its new attack. "Kiid!" he barked, jumping forward, foot held out to strike Jigglypuff.

"Puff!" Jigglypuff squeaked in surprise, startled that its opponent was actualy going to charge back. "Jupp!" Jigglypuff cried, getting smacked back from the kick to the gut. "Puff..." Jigglypuff panted, literally getting its breath knocked out of it.

"Ele," Elekid smirked.

"Elekid use Thundershock!"

"Elkk!" Elekid pumped his arms, shocking the poor pink pokemon.

"Jiii!" Jigglypuff screamed.

Sean sighed, looking at the weak pokemon with disappointment. "Elekid, use Low Kick!"

"Kiiid!" Elekid snarled, running at Jigglypuff again in delight.

"Jiig," Jigglypuff said angrily, poofing up in anger. Taking a deep breath, it began to sing a sweet, melodious song.

Sean could feel a yawn coming, and, somewhat slowly, gave out an order. "Elekid... don't listen to the song... use your electricity to make loud noises..."

Elekid nodded, quickly pumping his arms and fighting back the yawn. Sparks zapped out of his horn, creating a high pitched sound that not only helped awaken Elekid from his drowsiness, but Sean as well.

He shook his head, giving the pink pokemon a glare. "Elekid, Thundershock!"

Growling in anger at the pokemon, though still a little tired, Elekid let out a roar. "Ellleee!" Elekid snarled, pumping his arms and letting lose the high voltage attack, hitting the scared looking Jigglypuff.

"Jiiiiglyyy!" Jigglypuff screamed, deflating. Slightly smokey, Jigglypuff charged, slapping Elekid in the face several times with its Pound attack. "Jig! Jig! Jig!"

"Elk!" Elekid spat, jumping away and holding his red cheeks. "Ele," Elekid said lowly, leering at a nervous looking Jigglypuff.

"Jiggly," Jigglypuff trembled, though tried to inflate itself as it ran at Elekid once more, arm at the ready.

Elekid shook his fist at the incoming pokemon in anger, sparks flying about violently. "Ellee!" he snarled, letting lost the high voltage attack, shocking the Jigglypuff and stopping it right there.

"Iiiii!" Jigglypuff screamed, getting blown backwards so that it started to roll away.

"Finish it!" Sean crowed. "Low Kick!"

"Kiiiid!" Elekid buzzed, arms pumping as he ran, much to Seans shock. Body full of electricity, Elekid shot out its foot, which crackled with electricity, and literally flung the poor balloon pokemon away and through the trees. Not only had it gotten the wind knocked out of it, but had been painfully shocked as well. "Ele," Elekid spat, nodding in satisifaction.

"Woah," Sean breathed, amazed at this apparent new move or creative fighting technique. Maybe he should call it Electric Kick or Volt Kick or something. "Good... job... Elekid," Sean said in between yawns. Apparently the Sing attack had still done a little bit to them.

"Ele..." Elekid yawned as well.

"I... don't think a nap would be so bad," Sean said, moving toward a tree and slumping down right below it, his back pressed against the trunk. "...night," he murmered.

"Id," Elekid yawned back, collapsing at Sean's side, them both already sound asleep.

OOC: I have a question... Do you tell what pokemon the gym leader has and decide the rules, or do I?

Gym Leader: Brock
Pokémon: Geodude, Onix.
(As it is in the games)

you didn't state what pokemon jumped out of the bush for me?

That's because I only had five minutes to reply.

Out from behind the bush popped a small Pokémon which resembled a spider. It had a face pattern on its back, which looked like some sort of grumpy face. This Pokémon was a Spinarak, they were small bug Pokémon that could live in almost any area of the Kanto region.

This Pokémon quickly lay down since it was an extremely lazy Pokémon. The Spinarak yawned for a moment and then shot a large amount of webbing at the trainer which was enough to entrap three humans with moderate ease. Spinarak didn't want to fight but she knew that would most likely be her only choice since most trainers are known for challenging wild Pokémon.

I've not updated moves yet, good paragraph though.

When Sean had finally woke, the whole area was completely dark, indicating that night had come. Giving one final yawn and stretching, which woke Elekid, Sean got up.

"Some nap, huh?" he asked the stretching Elekid.

"Ele," Elekid nodded, starting to walk along side of Sean as he took out his flashlight.

Despite it being night, and according to his pokedex 12:42 at night, he felt oddly awake and lively. That Jigglypuff's sing attack might have knocked him out the whole day, but seemed to have helped his body and mind relax.

"Ele!" Elekid said in excitement, pointing to the dense forest that now stood before them.

"Veridian Forest," Sean said with an eager grin, reading the large sign that stood before them. He noticed a few different pathways leading in carious places in the forest, but he ignored those. "Forget the paths, let's go through the real part of the forest!" Sean said in excitement.

"Kid!" Elekid grunted, pumping his fists together with an excited eagerness.

THe two took their first step into the forest, being sure to share a large grin with each other, before really taking off, ducking under low branches and jumping over logs. It was the works, and Sean found it enjoyable.

"Elk!" Elekid barked out suddenly, pointing overhead at something.

Sean snapped the flashlight in the direction Elekid was pointing at. He squinted up into the dark branches of the tree. Something was moving around up there, and he could hear it easily. With a low grunt, the being jumped from the tree, landing directly in front of Sean, revealing itself to be...

No, that's why I tell people to view the OOC thread alot. Also, your Elekid was level 11 for a while because I have things to do irl. Good paragraph, so I'll reply now.

The Pokémon jumped out of the tree, revealing itself to be a small bear with a crecent moon on its forehead. It suckled on its paw for a moment and then looked over at Elekid. It wasn't too pleased that another Pokémon was stood near its tree, where Teddiursa was storing his honey.

The tiny bear took its oppurtunity to pounce on the Elekid. Its hand began to blaze scarlet red, and the tiny bear quickly launched a Fire Punch at the Elekid which was stood under its tree.

Teddiursa, Male - Nature: Adamant

Emilee followed the man into his house still unsure about all this. "You ok youngin? My wifes nothin' to be fearin' shes a real sweetheart and she will be happy to help ya out." he smiled and stopped in the front room.

Emilee could smell something cooking in the kitchen.

"Uh hmm smells like Amis cooking. Ami! I say AMI!"the old man called out. Emilee expected a little old lady to come walking through the door, but instead she found herself looking at a Mr Mime in maids clothing. "Ah Ami there you are. Something smells good been cooking again?" Mr Mime nodded. "Ah thats good." Then he turned to Emilee. "Oh I am sorry lass I forgat to introduce ye. This be my housekeeper Ami."

Emilee looked in surprise. "Uh a pokemon? Your maids a pokemon?"

The old man laughed. "Why of course. All me workers here be pokemon. Now you have to meet me wife." he turned to Mr Mime. "Ami have you seen Glory around?"

Mr Mime nodded and brought them into the kitchen. Emilee smelled all types of delicious food cooking. Looking around she realized what the man had meant by "pokemon workers." she saw Machop and Machoke working on the dishes and Bellsprout and Victreebell setting the table.(I dont know how this is poosiuble but hey anything can happen) Just then she noticed an old lady working over a cooking pot.

"Ah Glory...I brought a visitor. Would ya like to meet 'er or are ye just going to stand there?" The old lady turned around. She seemed alot younger then what Emilee had first suspected.

"Why Tom where have you been? Hopefully not out bein' lazy again." The old lady smiled a toothy grin then noticing Emilee walked over to her. "Oh whos this? Dont tell me you brought home another stray we got plenty here." she pointed to the pokemon.

The old man laughed. "No no this be Emilee shes new in the area and she just be startin' out I was hoping you could help her." the old man half smiled Emilee could not believe how odd this old couple was.

Glory stood over Emilee scanning her. "Ah I see. Your one of the new ones from Pallet are you not?" Emilee nodded. "Thought so. Well lets see what we can do for you. Mind the mess I just got through cooking dinner for our hungry workers." Farfetchd suddenly appeared from behind Emilees back. "Oh is that your pokemon. Mighty scrawny...but we will fatten im up. No waste going on a journey without food to eat." Farfetchd eyes brigthtened and he jumped up and down.

"Were in a bit of a hurry Glory perhaps we could take her to the forest and feed her there." Glory glared at the man but nodded. "Ok lass well its about time you had your first expierience with real wild pokemon." the three of them walked out leaving the "workers" to clean up. they walked over to the forest. Emilee felt Farfetchd brush against her leg. Just then as they were entering the forest they saw a tree rustling and from it appeared....

"Go, Poliwag!" yelled Jake, throwing poliwag's pokeball into the air.

"poli!" said poliwag. When Poliwag saw the gym leader, he knew he had to try his best to beat his pokemon.

Brock sent out an Onix.

"Man, that thing is huge!" exclaimed Jake.

"Onix, use rock tomb!"

Poliwag dodged it. "Poliwag, use water gun!" yelled Jake. Poliwag used water gun right into Onix's middle body. Onix Cried out in pain as it fell to the floor, but it was not nearly defeated.

"Onix, tackle him and use bind!" Onix jumped hed first towards Poliwag

Poliwag got hit, and flew to the wall. "Poli!" It screamed
Onix started to constrict Poliwag, but poliwag was to quick. Poliwag jumped off of onix's head.

"Onix, charge him!" yelled Brock.

This was a bad move, for poliwag could fire a water gun at any moment.

"Poliwag, use water gun to slam it to the ground!" yelled Jake.\
Poliwag obeyed.

Onix hit the floor and cried out in pain.

"Now, Use pound to pound him to the floor!" yelled Jake. Poliwag obeyed, while saying "Poli!" After that, onix let out a defeated sigh as it's eyes shut.

"Go geodude!" said Brock, throwing geodudes pokeball into the air.

"Return poliwag, and wooper get him!" said Jake, as he returned poliwag to it's pokeball.

Wooper jumped off of Jake's shoulder and took a battle stance.'

"Geodude, use pound!" said Brock.

Wooper jumped onto geodudes body, sending it too the floor.

"Ok Wooper, use watergun!" Wooper used water gun and pounded geodude into the floor.

Geodude's eyes shut slowly, and Jake knew he had just beat Brock!

"Brock walked over to Jake, and said, " You have determination, trainer, and have earned my respect. Here take this!"

Brock handed the boulder badge to Jake, and Jake was speechless. The feeling when you beat your first gym leader is fantastic!

Jake walked outside and went to the pokemon center to heal his pokemon. After that, He went out to route 2, where he encountered a.....

"Elekid, dodge!" Sean barked quickly.

"Ele!" Elekid snarled, flipping back.

"Tursa!" Teddiursa growled, flaming fist smashing into the ground and creating a small hole. Taking its fist out of the hole, Teddiursa turned to Elekid.

"Elekid, Thundershock!" Sean ordered.

"Kiid!" Elekid snarled, pumping his arms and sending the bolt of electricty at the normal type.

"Ursa," Teddiursa whimpered, body hunching as the high voltage attack ran through its body. "Ersa," Teddiursa panted for a moment before getting a hold of itself. "Ur!" the bear cried, rushing at Elekid, fire fist brought forward.

"Elekid, meet it with Low Kick," Sean ordered to the pokemon before him.

Elekid gave a confirmed grunt and charged forward, a light sneer on his face. It seemed to Sean that his pokemon was becoming a little bit of a grump.

"Ele!" Elekid cried, shoving his foot forward and meeting Teddiursa's flaming fist. "Ek," Elekid gasped, panting a little in pain as the flames licked at his foot.

"Ted," Teddiursa growled, arm shaking a bit. Elekid's power in his leg was enough to give his arm quite a painful shock. "Tedi!" Teddiursa cried at last, finally just jumping away.

"Kid," Elekid smirked, tenderly putting his sooted foot on the ground.

"Elekid, how about another Thundershock?" Sean asked with a grin.

Elekid grinned back as he pumped his arms, looking meaningfully at a scowling bear. "Kiil!"

Teddiursa growled back and rolled off to the side. "Ted!" Teddiursa cried, a mocking smirk on his face as he charged at Elekid, claws at the ready for a Scratch attack.

"None of that!" Sean cried. "Quick Attack!"

"Kil!" Becoming a blur, Elekid knocked the normal type back, recieving a pained cry from its opponent.

"Ted," Teddiursa growled, stumbling back. Shaking his head, he quickly jumped at the electric pokemon before it could get away. "Iurs!" Teddiursa Scratched at Elekid's side, electing a loud gasp of pain.

"Kiid," Elekid said lowly, looking at his side, noticing a few marks on his side. "Elee," Elekid said dangerously, arms already beginning to spin.

"Tdd..." Teddiursa said lowly, gasping as it found its body completely stuck.

Sean grinned. "Good, its paralyzed! Elekid, Low Kick!!"

"Kiid!" Elekid said irritably, continuing his arm pumping and launching a Thundershock attack instead.

"Teeed!" Teddiursa cried in pain, body slightly smoking.

"Elekid!" Sean snapped angrily.

"Eli!" Elekid snapped back, shaking his fist at Sean in anger.

"Teedi!" Teddiursa cried out happily, grinning at their distraction. "Urt!" Throwing back his flaming fist, Teddiursa got Elekid right in the face, knocking the electric pokemon back and bouncing into a tree.

"Elekid!" Sean shouted worriedly, running over to his pokemon.

"Ele," Elekid spat, shaking as he got up, leaning on one arm aganst the tree.

"Elekid, are you ok?" Sean asked, voice full of concern.

Elekid took a deep breath before nodding. "Kid." He flashed Sean a thumbs up before turnign determinedly at Teddiursa.

The small bear was growling lowly at them. "Iursat!" Teddiursa cried, running at Elekid, flaming fist at the ready.

"Ele," Elekid said lowly, looking prepared to run at Teddiursa at Sean's order.

"Easy," Sean said with a small tug at his lips. "No Low Kick, but go for that Thundershock!"

Arms pumping happily, Elekid was only too eager to launch the high voltage attack. "Led!"

"Ted! Ted! Ted!" Teddiursa barked, dodging each attack. "Ursa!"

"Dodge it!" Sean snapped.

"Eli!" Elekid cried, rolling out of the way, the flaming fist just barely missing him.

"Low Kick!"

"Kil!" Foot snapping forward, Elekid bashed Teddiursa back before it had time to even turn and attempt another attack.

"Let's finish this," Sean said seriously.

"Elik," Elekid growled, nodding in agreement.

"Ted..." Teddiursa panted, looking completely worn out. "Ted!" it snarled, fist turning into a flame once more before going out. "Ted... yei!" Teddiursa yelped, exhaustion clearly showing as his fist simply smoked. Teddiursa fell into a slump, knowing defeat.

Elekid pumped his arms, not feeling any pity towards the normal type. "Kil."

"Thundershock," Sean ordered.

"Elik!" Elekid cried out, body charged up with power. With a burst of yellow light surrounding his body, the Thundershock headed toward's Teddiursa, hitting the tiny bear head on.

"Teeeediiursa!" Teddiursa cried, having done nothing to avoid the attack, already knowing that it was done for. "Ted..." Teddiursa breathed, falling in a slump on the ground.

"Eli," Elekid said happily, folding his arms and looking proud.

"Nicely done," Sean said, coming over to Elekid before jumping back as the bushes next to him began to shake violently. "Woah!"

The pokemon that appeared before him was rather strange looking, and he had no idea what it was. He quickly took out his pokedex to scan it...

"Yanma, the clear wing Pokémon. It can see 360 degrees without moving its head. It won't miss prey -- even those behind it." the Pokédex explained before closing itself.

This Yanmas wings were beating violently, it wasn't happy that a human was passing through its territory. It was more of an oddball than most of the other Pokémon, it never slept and it was known for its power. This Yanma wasn't a weakling and it was most certainly going to put up a good fight against the human and his Pokémon.

PROFILE UPDATED. Elekid.

Poliwag obeyed.

Onix hit the floor and cried out in pain.

He encountered an Igglybuff, these Pokémon were common on Route 3 but not nearly as common as Pidgey and other flying types. They used lived outside Mt. Moon in an attempt to have the Moon Stone shared with them so they could evolve from Jigglypuff into Wigglytuff.

This particular Igglybuff was quite weak, she wasn't much of a fighter but she knew that she could only become stronger if she battled against trainers and other Pokémon.

A Pidgey! Pidgey were usually timid but this one was looking for a fight. It was an outcast in the flock and it was also much stronger. He was kicked out of the flock after attempting to beat the leader for the position -- and failing, horribly.

The tiny bird Pokémon swooped down and zoomed at the trainer. It stopped halfway and got ready to fight the Farfetch'd that was stood next to the trainer.
