Pokémon Lumaria

Okay, So I've seen lots of great hacks on these forums, and I've wanted to make one of my own for quite a while. So I present to you my idea for a Hack:

Pokémon Lumaria
Language: English (GB)
Rom Base: Pokémon Firered

Storyline:
In the region of Lumaria, there has been a sudden outburst of Pokémon who are different from other Pokémon - These Pokémon have different colouration than ordinary Pokémon, and have been dubbed by many top Pokémon Professors as "Shiny Pokémon". Nobody knows the reason for this sudden outburst of Shiny Pokémon.

You are a Young, Fifteen year old student belonging to the Pokémon Academy of Science. You have been sent to the Region of Lumaria in order to investigate the outburst of Shiny Pokémon. Upon arrival, you find that a group of strange people, who call themselves Team Ultaria have set up base. No-one knows the intentions of this strange group, And as wether or not they are related to the phenomena happening in Lumaria.

It is your Job to find out the reasons for the Strange phenomena occuring in Lumaria. During your investigation, you will climb many arduous mountains, Trawl through lush forests, Swim through crystalline rivers and roam vast expanses as you travel through Lumaria.

Features I Hope to Include:
- New Scripts
- New Maps
- New Storyline
- New overworld sprites
- New rivals
- New Tiles
- New Starters
- New Ingame Events
- Increased Shiny Encounter Rate


I'm fairly new to the Hacking Scenario, and know very little of what I'm doing - However I'm willing to learn, and would be greatful for any help offered. Please leave your opinions on the storyline and such. Your opinions will decide wether or not I decide to go through with this hack. All feedback + CC is welcome.

Myself, I can do basic mapping and Edit the starters, but at the moment, that's about it. I've yet to learn how to script and such.

But as I said, I'm willing to learn how.

I like the concept but the features don't seem to have anything that sticks out. A good deal of hacks have the features you listed so if you want to make it more interesting you should think about adding something new. I have time travel in mine and it draws peoples' attention.

I'll try to think of something, that's for sure.
I wasn't going to have gyms of sorts, anyway.
Instead, I was going to have something like Awards from the Academy every now and then.
[For instance, when you discover something quite big, you'll get an Award for it].
There's not going to be an Elite Four as Such.
I'm thinking of things I can put in instead.
The hack itself will be pretty storyline-based.

woah, you really should have the lack of gyms and the E4 in the features, so will it be like Prof. Aides over the world who give you the awards, or like you defeat the bad guys and an aide will come up and say, hey i saw what you did,

It could be Aides, But I'd like it so that your pokédex will double up as a phone system, And you'll reveive awards that way.

I.E. For example, There'll be a script where when you exit an area, it will pop up and say "You Have 1 Incoming Call - From Oak: I'm absolutely Enthralled to hear about your discoveries, and I'm proud to present you the ????? AWARD. I'm also sending you a TM ?? through your pokédex for all your hard work.

Quick Update for you guys.

I've been working on this today.
It's a basic design for the Academy and it's grounds.
As I've said, it's very basic, so it will Definitely be changed in the future.

Spoiler:

I'm probably gonna use the SS.ANNE maps for the large building on
the left. That's going to be the Dorms.

As I said, It's only a Basic Layout at the moment.
When it's complete, it won't even look like viridian city.

I'm thinking about changing the map dimensions aswell,
After all, I don't need that much space as what's in viridian.
