Hello, I really love this romhack as I always love playing Pokemon Emerald when I was a child. I only have maybe a few suggestions. Hoping it is possible to be implemented in the future. Btw, this rom hack is great, love the new features from the upper gen thank you so much for creating this rom. I always love playing the original rom, the battle frontier (especially battle factory) before haha.
1. Suppose a 3 vs 3 pkmn in a 2vs2 battle setup. Where your 1st pkmn uses skill move and fainted 1 foe and your 2nd pkmn move targets the fainted pkmn, but the move is executed after the 3rd pokemon appeared. (If possible the setup is like where after a pokemon fainted and the moves that targets the fainted pokemon shows "but it failed" rather than hitting the next pokemons enemy after it appears. Maybe in settings to turn on or off or something)
2. More pokemon with different skills and stats at battle factoryy (Just kidding)
But if my suggestion takes too much time and work, consider to ignore it. I'm still at the elite four hoping I can beat and enter the battle frontier (sorry for my english if it is confusing thank you much again).
This is how it works in Gen 3. Changing it means changing TOO MUCH stuff (I had a look at what they are doing in the battle expansion) and, tbh, it's not worth my time. I wouldn't mind having it as an optional feature, but it won't be me doing it.
Update on the bgm, I have a python script that changes all the map music (in the JSON) to a dummy sound and manually changed the last few on some scripts and , I can get a successful build on a vanilla build of emerald but not modern. When running "make modern" I get argument list too long and make will break early if I adapt the clone Git and if I use the git give I just get vanilla.

Hi, im currently playing the game and im loving it so far. What type of pokeball is used for roserade under the screenshot section? Is that a custom pokeball? Im also seeing this type of pokeball being frequently used by breeder-class trainers but im not sure what type it is.

Possible bug: Wurmple Evo page says it must have a silcoon/cascoon persona rather than LvlUp to 07, day and LevlUp to 07, night, I attached the Eevee evolutions where I have seen this being correct. (The vita stutters under certain conditions, saving, entering battle and is one of the reasons around the bgm, will investigate how and let you know)
Edit: for the master doc, skiploom instead of hoppip is is listed as on route 103, potentially Eevee on the same route should be removed on the doc, surskit evolution page looks weird on the L of LvlUp (should I be adding things to GitHub or here), nosepass Evo screen shows 2 evolutions to probobass, hoth holding a thunderstone, one days say, the other night, I suppose it should be 1 lone only and the day/night came removed, or am I missing something
Wurmple using "silcoon/cascoon" persona is intended, but I can change it to "personality" so it sounds better.
Skiploom instead of Hoppip will be corrected in the new doc, same with Eevee.
Surskit visual bug is not really important, let's see if I can fix it.
Nosepass showing 2 evos is intended behaviour, as you can do the evolution during the day and during the night. I can fix it, it just takes time and doesn't affect anything.

All good, I saw they appear any time of the day, will send more to update as I find them. Surskit entry, I have seen another one, I suspect it's "tab", most stay away from the end of the tab but they appear to be right at the end of the tab. Not sure how to pull it off without addressing only those directly affected. Am helping with these as I believe this to be the best emerald it could be and would like to help documentation (as pointed at as being the sore spot a few times)
Something that is likely unintended but works very well, if you set L=A then pressing and holding R then press L it does the escape, no A needed.
Today was the anniversary of the 1.0 release of Modern Emerald, and there's nothing better to celebrate with the definitive version: 2.0. There have been A LOT of changes. A LOT.
And that, sadly, means that a new savegame is required. You can safely trade your 1.5 version Pokémon to this new version, but progress has to be reset. I don't plan on doing something similar again.
2.0 focuses on bringing options to players. There are always two types of players: those who prefer Gen 3 features, and those who don't. I did my best and created options for as many features as possible (although I CAN'T make every feature the game has optional). For example, players can now choose between using Nature Mints or not, which if disabled, can make the Synchronize option usable (it became redundant with Nature Mints).
2.0 also fixes all the important bugs the game had: Pokédex overlap between "Modern" and "Classic" encounters is no more, Type effectiveness randomization works and the Pokédex scren after catching a Pokémon now shows as it should.
Please report any bug you find and I'll fix it asap.
Here's the changelog:
Spoiler: 2.0 update
Added 1 more box space. Now you can make a living dex.
Trainers in the BF now use class-specific Pokéballs.
Wild Pokémon changes. Refer to the new docs.
3 beeps at low health is back.
Battle intros are faster, closer to Fire Red speed.
Every legendary that was not in the game originally now has a small event to make it a bit more special.
Hard mode introduces new stats to Legendaries ONLY when battling them to make it a bit more difficult.
Introduced a new tab in "Challenges menu" named "Gamemode", which lets you choose between a "Classic", "Modern" or "Custom" to suit your gaming preferences.
Includes: Nature mints, New types, Fairy types, Better Stats, Synchronize (ability), Sturdy (ability), New legendaries, Legendary abilities, Citrus berry and New moves.
Added a new option to uncap wondertrades.
Player IV now has a third option, called "No (HP)", which randomizes IVs between 30 and 31 so Pokémon can have different Hidden Powers.
Added a new "Fake RTC" option. It's not in the options menu because changing between "RTC" and "Fake RTC" after starting the game breaks daily events, so it's a one time option.
The options menu has also been reorganized into "Options", "Battle options" and "Sound", a new menu.
"Sound" has a music selector for battles! Choose between different battle music for Wild, Trainers and Frontier trainers.
"Sound effects" can also be changed between "Gen 3 / DPL / HGSS".
Also a "No music" option has been added.
Added a "Throw pokeball" visual prompt in battles, enable it in options.
Added a "Run prompt" to disable the text to run when entering in battles, enable it in options.
Added a "Skip intro" option.
Fixed Fast battles option, now auto skips all delays.
Pokémon in the BF now don't have EVs if they are disabled.
Ticket purchases in BF are not infinite anymore.
Small Pokédex fixes.
Nosepass and Magneton won't show twice their evolution in the Pokédex.
Leafeon and Glaceon had their evolution condition changed.
Fixed the Pokédex overlap between "Modern" encounters and "Classic" encounters.
Fixed the Pokédex after catching a Pokémon.
Fixed type effectiveness randomizer, now it should work.

Im so excited ive been waiting for this. I know it was just released -- I had seen this yesterday on the repo but there's a typo in the menu option Extra Legend. When it's on, it says Entra legendaries instead of extra in the description. Its present in the 2.0 patch. Also previewing the music -- Is there no option to select the overworld music as well? Figured that would be harder since town music changes

Probably not the best timing, but just like last year haha
Btw, I uploaded version 2.0b. It fixes a critical bug with Pokeballs being used 2 times. Please report any issue you find with pokéballs. I haven't found anything else, but who knows.
Was wondering how i'd find the Gen 3 Starters in v1.5.6?
Grass patches in the Battle Frontier only produce Smeargle's as opposed to what the docs sheets say.
Am i missing some kind of trigger or are they reaaaaallly rare?
TyTy

This might help either side, Pokedex suggests they are in the safari zone (on 2.0, didn't check 1.56), have done battle tests in debug to get entries for all 3.

Is there a reason my game plays off Nuzlocke rules despite not ticking anything on that page? I first noticed my guys disappearing after I beat the first Gym and a couple of them fainted during the fight - then I decided to test a little bit more, if your first guy faints and you have nothing else you can just casually look at your non-existant team (and if you try to look at your non-existant member, the game crashes.) Am I just stupid? I patched the game right, really don't know what's going on here, I swear I didn't turn on anything Nuzlocke related.
EDIT: Went through it all over again, didn't turn on Nuzlocke rules, didn't turn on the "Pokemon die if they faint" option, genuinely puzzled.
