[Moon] Pokémon Moon: The Ultimate Edition

How do i get the legendaries and mythicals? the encounter table doesn't seem to have that information

[PokeCommunity.com] Pokémon Moon: The Ultimate Edition

By N.L.N.W.

Pokémon Moon: The Ultimate Edition is a modified version of Pokémon Moon that features a much harder difficulty, an updated level curve going to level 77, a huge variety of wild encounters, and a slightly modified story that stays true to the original material. It's my first and probably only ROM hack, since it took approximately four months to complete it and test it on my own, meaning that I had to play the game more than 5 times. As an ordinary fan and inexperienced in ROM hacking, I feel accomplished and proud to bring to you this experience.

Features
  • Updated TM moveset, featuring some stronger moves, like Power Gem, Aura Sphere, Moonblast, Submission, Flare Blitz, etc.
  • Enemy trainers have more diverse teams.
  • Trade evolutions have been disabled, and evolutionary stones/items are sold on specific Poke Marts.
  • Every Pokemon in the Alola Pokedex is available to the player, even Legendaries/Mythicals. Additional Pokemon from other regions can also be found in the wild.
  • Non-Alolan Legendary Pokemon can be caught using Island Scan.
  • The main story is divided into three parts. Modified dialogue.
  • Some boss trainers use Z-Powers/Mega Evolution.
  • Healing items have been reversed to their original healing value.
  • Totem Pokemon have higher boosts, making them harder to defeat.
  • Updated level curve.

The twist of Pokémon Moon: The Ultimate Edition is that there are two versions of the ROM Hack when concerning the soundtrack of the game: The Original Sounds Version and the External Sounds Version. The first, as the name implies, is the modified game with the original soundtrack from Vanilla Sun&Moon, directed at players who are experiencing Alola for the very first time or for streaming purposes; while the External Sounds Version possesses a number of tracks from different media, used solely for the purpose of enhancing the game and giving it a more cinematic feel; it is not made for profits or other type of gains, just for a passion fan project.

There is so much more to discover in this new ROM hack of a very underappreciated game, and the main inspiration for its creation is very noticeable. I hope that I have brought to you a memorable experience and feel free to comment on potential fixes or upgrades for the game. Thank you!

Used PK3DS to modify the game mechanics and VEGAS PRO to modify the audio files for the External Sounds Version. Use Citra emulator to play the game.

Are the levelup movesets gen 7 or changed in any way? If so, is there a way I can view them and the expanded TM movesets?

Are the levelup movesets gen 7 or changed in any way? If so, is there a way I can view them and the expanded TM movesets?
All of the starters have their movesets changed. I have attached a doc that dictates every Pokemon's moveset.

Can you please teach me on how to patch it into the 3DS? (Sorry first time)
I just figured it out earlier today!

First, follow the directions in the main post for patching a .3ds file of pokemon moon using xdeltaUI
Second, put the SD card from your homebrew 3ds into your computer, and move the patched .3ds file into the folder named "3ds" on the SD card
Third, put the SD card back into the homebrew 3ds, and launch it in Godmode by holding start and the power button.
Make sure that your SD card is selected on the top screen, then hit R and A. Select the search for file option, and type in the name of the patched .3ds file (I just searched pokemon and found it from the list).
Fourth, select NCSD image options, then select Install Game Image. It should install the romhack onto your 3ds, which took like 25 minutes for me. When it says it's done, hit the home button, then select reboot system (or something like that), and Pokemon Moon: The Ultimate Edition should be on your home screen.

I did this a few hours ago and I don't have my 3ds with me rn to double check, so please let me know if I missed anything, or if this doesn't work. If there's any confusion, I'm happy to help :3

hello im abit late to the party but can ik all the locations for the mega stones? I cant seem to find mega stones like charidite X and slowbronite. Ive only found a Pokemart that sells half of the mega stones

As much as I try, I can´t understand the wild pokemon encounter table, I can´t figure out why there are so many tables per map zone and why some maps (#136 Route 8 f.e) doesn´t have any info. Is there any guide??

This sounds great but what exactly does it change in the story? Cause I'm only revisiting the og Sun and Moon for the story.

Hi, appreciate the work you put in! My main gripe with S&M is the tedious amount of dialogue. Does this romhack reduce it? And is it even possible with 3ds romhacks?
