    The Story

    The sun was heavily shining on the Earth below it. The glare caused some illusions for those who were walking on the streets of stone. They all ignored a black glow that was speeding high above the road, faster than a speeding Dodrio. The folks all assumed it was another simple illusion, but they were incorrect. It was a solid object, with real form. The object was very long, fifty feet at least, and its long body undulated through the sky as it moved at its high speeds. The object searched for an exit from the small town, and sharply turned left, towards a waterfall that was pouring over a cliff. It sped straight through the water, to where it knew there was a cave behind the waterfall. However, its head hit stone, and it shook itself hard, turning around.
    It heard something behind it, and whirled around to see a Pokémon there. The Pokémon was tall and bulky, and had a pouch with a small baby in it. "What's going on?" She wondered aloud, apparently directing her question at the black Pokémon that had crashed.
    With a start, the dark-colored Pokémon twirled its long, black body and soared out the alley and straight up into the thing it was seeking, that blue, blue sky above it.
    The long Flying-type Pokémon was not identified, nor seen since that day. A year ago, it went as swiftly as it came to Pokémon Square. Legend has it that it rested on a tall pillar that towered above the clouds. Many rescue teams have tried and failed to reach it, for there are very tough Pokémon in the pillar of clouds. The Flying-type supposedly rests at the very top of the pillar, and has told itself that it will become a member of the first rescue team to defeat it. Many Pokémon are building rescue teams and training hard to find the Pokémon and gain a very powerful member. Will you join them to try to win the race and recruit the legendary Pokémon?

    Your Role

    Your role is to join either Rescue Team Truth or Lurking, the two top teams racing to the peak of Sky Tower and trying to fight Rayquaza. Don't worry if you lose the battle against Rayquaza; you can always start scaling Sky Tower again. The good thing is that you will not lose any of the items you had if you faint! :D

    The Rules

    1. No godmodding or powerplaying; if you do either of these, I will warn you; if you are caught again, I have to right to kick you out of the RP and kill off your character.

    2. Your character does not know the name of the Pokémon atop the Tower, but feel free to give it nicknames.

    3. I will play Rayquaza in this RP, and no one else will.

    4. Your team will go up with these items in its Toolbox:

    4 Oran Berries
    2 Heal Seeds
    2 Reviver Seeds (not used automatically)
    10 Gravelerocks
    10 Sticks
    2 Big Apples (Each Big Apple can be shared by up to two Pokémon, filling their Bellies by 75 each)
    1 Huge Apple (Each Huge Apple can be shared by up to four Pokémon, filling their bellies by 75 each)

    5. You may not be a legendary in this RP, and you may have up to two characters, but they must be on opposite teams.

    6. Please use proper grammar, spelling, and punctuation, or I will not accept you into the RP.

    7. Battles in this RP will be anime-style; that is, with all moves a Pokémon can learn are available at once, etc. It takes place in the first Pokémon Mystery Dungeon.

    Name: Sandra Angres

    Gender: Female

    Species: Lucario

    Team: The Leader of Team Truth.

    Personality: Sandra is serious, always focusing at the task at hand. She tries to stop any goofing around, and is not tolerant of unruly behavior. She can be rash at times, acting suddenly and not thinking before she does. However, other times she slows down and thinks. She tends to hustle when she's in an important situation. Sandra always tries her best, and never hesitates to use an especially powerful move if she needs to. Sandra has a short temper, but her attacks are very powerful when she is angry. She usually takes advantage of this. However, her accuracy is lowered when she gets especially angry because she tends to hustle when she's not in a good mood. Sandra can be bossy occasionally, and knows that her position as leader is important. However, she is usually friendly, and cares for others more than she does herself. Sandra also tends to act Japanese. She's very sparing when it comes to items, and uses them only if she really needs to. Sandra has a secret fear of failing, and usually requires her teammates to keep her calm in situations where she doesn't succeed.

    Appearance: Her tail is slightly more axe-shaped than usual.

    History: Sandra was born right here in Treasure Town, during a warm summer. As a Riolu, she enjoyed whacking her tail against trees. Of course, it didn't do anything, but she didn't seem to care much. This strengthened her tail, and she often uses it as a form of attack. When she was two years old, she joined a rescue team called Team Darkness. However, she didn't know that they had evil plans, and innocently followed. After a while, she found out, but kept her mouth shut and stayed loyal to her team. Somehow, they figured out that she knew, and they began abusing her, refusing to give her healing items when she needed them. One night, she abandoned her team, and lived a harsh life on her own in Magma Cavern. There, Groudon took her in, but Groudon only looked over her as she fought off any intruders.
    After a year of this life, she was recruited by a group of Pokémon that called themselves "Rescue Team Truth." She lived with them from there on, gaining proper nourishment and growing strong again. But mysteriously, at one point, her team members began disappearing, one by one, every week or so. When Sandra was the only one left, she declared herself the leader. The day she did so, she saw the black glow in the sky, and vowed to find out what it was.

    Name: Tuliae

    Gender: Female

    Species: Absol

    Team: Truth

    Personality: Cool, calm and level-headed, Tuliae never does anything too reckless no matter what the circumstances are. She thinks about everything thoroughly and doesn't like to make mistakes. She is loyal to her friends and family and though she is quiet, always participates in any activities. Unfortunately, because of her wanderings, Tuliae has become less social towards others most of the time and keeps her secrets to herself. She prefers quiet surroundings and stays well away from any crowds or large groups. She sometimes acts on instincts instead of thinking in the most difficult situations so to escape from any danger.

    Appearance: Tuliae's fur is a golden colour like ninetales instead of whitish-grey, it's claws and the thing on its head is the same colour as it's shiny form and it's eyes are as blue as a houndoom's shiny form. everything else is the same as a normal absol's except the absence of a gray spot on the forehead. I have a sprite in the attachments of it. I hope it isn't too much.

    History: Tuliae's mother mysteriously disappeared when she was still young and so she lived and grew up in a small town with her grandmother, as her father suffered from wanderlust and liked to travel a lot. Tuliae herself also loved to wander and travel but the poor state of her grandmother kept her where she was so she could like after her. But because of the fact that she looked different from the other absols, one day, they finally decided to banish her from their clan and she took to wandering alone from town to town. She found a few traveling companians at times but sooner or later they would return to their own homes far away and Tuliae would be alone again. One day, while she was looking at a fairly large town's bulletin board for jobs she could do to earn her keep, she noticed a small sign saying that a group called Rescue Team Truth was looking for members so she decided to sign up.

    Other: ......not that I can think of.

    I've edited the personality a bit more, is it ok now?

    Name: Icarus

    Gender: Male

    Species: Bulbasaur

    Team: Truth

    Personality: Icarus has a gentle, relaxing personality. Brave and calm when facing danger. Never likes to fight unless it's a dire situation. Very protective of his friends. Open-minded and respectful to others. Cares more about everyone's safety before acting. Perfers to go by the rules than break them. Mindful when things are turning out badly. Likes to keep personal things to himself. Cares alot about his friends.

    Appearance: Icarus has skin slightly brighter than a regular Bulbasaur's skin. Shiny orange eyes. His bulb is the same color as his eyes. Wears strap protectors on his legs. Other than these differences, he looks like an everyday Bulbasaur.

    History: Icarus never knew his parents. He was found by a group of Pokemon care-takers when he was a baby. They named him Icarus; after the strange high-sky Pokemon that flew past them after finding the Bulbasaur. He was raised with other Pokemon in the care-taker home. He made friends there and was happy for a while. Years later, the home was attacked by powerful Pokemon. Icarus managed to escape, but everyone he knew and loved, were dead. Weeks later, Icarus arrived at a town bursting with activity. He read a flier that said a Rescue team called truth was taking members. The wounds of grief were still wide open, but Icarus knew he had to start moving on. So he signed up.

    Name: George

    Gender: Male

    Species: Octillery

    Team: Lurking

    Personality: George is kind and hospitable, peaceful really. He's cool, calm and collected like the average Treecko. It's hard to arouse him with panic or fear, and his serenity tends to spread. He's a deep thinker and never jumps to conclusions. Although he's great at decieving others, he only does it in times of need. He tends to look down on younger and smaller Pokemon, but easily hides it. In a tough situation, he thinks through it slowly before moving a tentacle. He's imaginative and friendly, and can turn anything into an adventure with his upbeat personality.

    Appearance: The average Octillery.

    History: George was always part of Team Lurking, even as a Remoraid, along with his mother Bubble. He enjoyed swimming around in the base, catching small fish that occasionally swam by. He made friends easily, but never bragged about any adventures he happened to go on. George believes that with friends and imagination, anything can be an adventure. This way, he found many adventures with his friends. He still remembers the time when he almost was eaten by a Pidgeotto! Now, he's glad that he can fight things off like that. Eventually, George'd friends brought him to a cave that had never been found before. Since they were scared, they ushered him to go in first, so he did. When an Octillery came out, his friends were so surprised they almost fainted. Talk about startling!

    NOG: Please add more to History. I would like at least four lines for those two sections each in a wide style such as PokéRangers.

    Lostt: Please do not have a battle for leader. You are allowed to be second in command, if you like.

    I've also updated the item list a bit and decided that we need Apples more than Ribbons.

    Name: Shoai (sh-ow) "Sparks"

    Gender: Male

    Species Pikachu

    Apperence: Looks like a normal Pikachu, but with a thin black strip across his muzzle. He also wears a blue Bandana that is the only thing that he has to remind him of his father.


    Team: Lurking


    History: Shoai grew up away from society in away from the main town. When he was young, his father left to join a rescue team, he was never heard from again, leaving Shoai without much guidance. Shortly after, he was separated from his mother when a squad of Syther attacked them. He hasn't seen either parent since the two events. It seemed to him that during this time, no one seemed to help him. This has caused Shoai to not trust people easily. Nevertheless, Shoai has wanted to join a rescue team, mainly to search for his father and to get revenge at the Syther squad. One year ago, when he was 14, he attempted to join team Truth, but they had turned him down, saying that revenge was not the proper motivation for a rescue squad member. After training for a year, he joined Team Lurking. Recently, to become more powerful, he has been searching for a Thunderstone, but is unsure whether this is a wise choice. Although he is only 15, he can hold his own and battle and is second in command due to himbeing a brilliant tactician.


    Personality: Living alone for many years has taught Shoai many lessons. He can be rash in some situations, but if he is calm, he is a vital tactician and is a natural at solving complex problems, a vital skill needed for living on his own and to lead others. However, thoughts of revenge fly through his mind, leading him to focus on it and be driven by it at times. If someone mentions his father or the Syther squad, he will do anything to get that information.He sometimes looks back on choices he made and questions them about whether they were right or wrong. His strong conscious. the past, and empathy for others like him are the only things that will sometimes effect his decisions he makes. He helps others only so they do not have to go through what he did. Deep down he is confused and all he wants and needs is guidance and friends.



    Other: people call him "Spark(s)" as a nickname
    (wishes to be second in command if possible) due to clever strategies

    Gender: Male
    Species: Luxray
    Team: Leader of Team Lurking

    Personality:
    Vincent takes his role as self-appointed protector very seriously. He will intentionally place himself in harm's way if it will safeguard his "charges"; because of this his body is covered with scars. Vincent is a Pokemon of few words. Don't take his silence as lack of interest though! He observes everything, speaking only when necessary.

    Appearance:
    His eyes are red, as oppossed to the yellow that is normal for Luxrays. His electric attacks are also colored red.
    A few of his most prominant scars are:
    Across the bridge of his nose
    A large "X" shaped one on his left shoulder
    A long, straight one along his entire right side
    He is missing one of the points from the "star" on his tail

    So that we'd start faster, I deleted one space from each team. dragonqueen0210, I hope you don't mind that your character is second-in-command of Team Truth now.

    Name: Bailee
    Gender: Female
    Species: Lopunny
    Team: Lurking

    Personality: Bailee is rather quiet although she always has something intelligent to add to a conversation. She's never one to spill her emotions out to everyone; she tends to lay low in the background as she doesn't like to always be the center of attention. Bailee tends to have a rather short-tempered disposition though and is willing to fight whenever the need should arise. As a result of this trait, she is quick to action despite her normal calmness which sometimes gets her and her teammates into trouble.

    Appearance: Resembles a regular Lopunny.

    History: Bailee is originally from Sinister Woods, having been birthed and raised there for quite a while as a Buneary. Bailee was raised by her father, a strong and very muscular Machoke named Timothy. Although Timothy really wanted a son, he treated Bailee as if she were a boy and taught her a wide range of attacks such as Ice Punch and Low Kick.

    Bailee and her father were inseparable until he decided one day that he would leave her with one of his good friends in Treasure Town so that he could go on a journey to find Bailee's mother, Amelia. Amelia had disappeared a few days after Bailee had hatched from her egg, while she was going out to look for food. After not returning from her search for hours, Timothy grabbed Bailee in his arms and went to look for Amelia with her. Timothy eventually gave up following weeks of searching, and decided that he must raise Bailee himself. It has been a few years since Timothy last left Treasure Town, leaving Bailee to believe that he has also gotten lost, never to return. She vowed that when she was older and gained more experience, she would also go on a journey to find her mother and father.

    Other: Bailee has a disturbing obsession with food and has been known to eat a whole buffet herself, although she is still quite lean and thin because of her tendency to exercise extensively.
