Yup, they have their special shiny form, check the docs in the first post!
Also, Shiny odds have been increased to 1/256!

Ability -> Valrey
Nature -> Charon
Thanks!

Yes, I have checked the docs, though it does mention various types such as normal ones, regional special ones and normal ones which evolve into regional special ones but, it does not seem to mention anything related to shiny encounter or their odds, or seems like I might have overlooked it, I'll re-check just to confirm.
(It would be awesome, if you can link the specific docs)

Also, what about static encounters such as our starter pokemon, or pokemon we obtain through wonder trade (or in-game quests) are they shiny locked? (Their is one shiny that, I want to get, one that you obtain by returning home, just wanted to make sure it isn't shiny locked?)

► INTRODUCTION

Hey everyone! Long story short: this is a crossover project featuring Pokémon, Etrian Odyssey and Made in Abyss.
It's a dungeon-crawler with a story-driven focus, but don't worry, you don't need to be familiar with Etrian Odyssey or Made in Abyss to enjoy the game to the fullest!

[PokeCommunity.com] Pokémon Odyssey [COMPLETE - V4.0]

On an island in the middle of the sea stands a massive maze knows as the "Yggdrasil Labyrinth", which has been attracting adventurers from all over the world for years.
No one knows how deep it goes, or if there's anything at its end.
Some say there's a treasure of immeasurable value hidden within, while others claim the remnants of a lost civilization lie there.
In the game you'll play as Nyx, a young adventurer who joins the guild of Talrega with the goal of unraveling the Labyrinth's mysteries.
But something goes terribly wrong…

I have a question, how do I update the romhack when it's still in my emulator?

Hey, first of all, congrats on the release! :smile: I've been patiently waiting for the full release for roughly the past 2 years since I found this thread and so far it's really fun, definitely worth the wait.

I was wondering about a few things though. I noticed the doc doesn't have a preview of the Etrian Typhlosion (and it's shiny variant). Is there a reason for that? If not, could you maybe add them? I'm currently in the process of planning my team and I'm one of those, who likes to include the design of the pokemon in their decision making (I'm torn between Etrian Typhlosion and Etrian Mismagius and would pick the one whose design I like more) :LOL:
Another thing is, according to the docs you can only get the gen 2 starters that can evolve into Etrian variants through Wonder Trade, is that correct? If so, are the shiny odds for Wonder Trade (and breeding) the same as wild encounters or higher? If it's the same, is there a way to further increase the odds for breeding shinies, similar to the Masuda method in the original games? Because I imagine it's quite a bit harder to get a desired shiny, if that pokemon is only available through Wonder Trade and subsequent breeding (of course I've seen that the odds are already pretty high, just curious if there is a way to increase them even more for breeding specifically).

Fun fact, the regional Typhlosion is quite literally just its Hisuian counterpart
