FireRed hack: Pokémon Platinum Red & Blue Versions - Alpha 1.3 Released!

One thing I've noticed in Gen III hacks is that there seems to be nobody wanting to touch the battle screen (e.g. modifying the way battles are presented so that they're more a Gen IV popup style instead of a Gen III slider open style).

I'm assuming that it'd take a crap ton of ASM to even get somewhere close to it (and even though ARM assembly is not as bad as x86... it's still really bad), but would it be remotely possible in the future?

The thing about demakes is you're making a newer generation on an older generation platform or base, while keeping some templates the same. The template you're suggesting is the battle one. Although it is possible to alter the looks, it'd take a whole redo of it to make space. Now it will definitely take some work, but the question is is it really worth it all? Changing certain aspects is good such as new textbox in today's

unfortunately I'm too lazy to gif it so I tried to edit the surfing sprite. Turns out pl does it different::
FR hero palette = surf palette
Pl hero palette != surf palette
they both do use different images though. However they aren't OWs. And there's going to be some asm involved to make it use a different palette than the hero, and in a different slot.

WOW, there are like, so many features. The battle scenes and tiles made me double-check if this was a Gba ROM. You've even inserted the watch-thing that's in the bottom screen of DPP. This hack could easily win a HotY award. Keep up the good work. :)

I'm sorry, but I have no idea. The features we keep adding take different amounts of time. We're trying for the 2x2 battles though.

Well expanding took a lot out of me (I did it alone until I needed help with cries, which Doesnt helped me, shout out to him)
In the update section you can see how I did expand.
Anyway about the banner, it's awesome
It's just that the pokemon logo and giratinas are a bit squished. Could you fix it or is this it? Either way great work! :D
