    Introduction:​

    Hello, again..
    As you can see in my signature, my other games (Pokémon Thermite and Pokémon Eternity) got deleted due to a hard drive error.
    I was not smart enough to back them up on an other PC :(
    But yeah, it happend and there is nothing I can do about it anymore..
    So I present you, my newest game, Pokémon Rancher!​

    Plot:​

    You're either a boy or a girl who lives in Jigano Town in the region of Rikolu.(yeah, odd name I know)
    Your Pokémon adventure is about to begin, but unlike other Pokémon games, you will obtain your Pokémon from a Pokémon breeder, named Henrique.
    When you go downstairs your mum approaches you to tell Henrique was looking for you! It seemed urgent, so you head towards Henrique's Pokémon ranch (yeah that's why it's called Rancher).
    You can trigger one of the two (!) opening events. After that event, you enter the ranch, where you get to choose one of three starter Pokémon (which ones will be revealed later).
    Once you've obtained your chosen Pokémon, Henrique tells you you can have an egg too!
    You then get to choose one out of 12 eggs!
    After you've obtained an egg and a Pokémon you leave the ranch, where your rival is waiting for you to have a battle!
    I will reveal more later, else I spoil to much​

    The Pokémon overworlds (like Venusaur) should also be credited to Kyledove.

    Your title screen is a bit plain, and doesn't match the visual style of the actual game.

    Otherwise, it looks promising. Good luck with it!

    Perhaps tone down the saturation a bit, so the colours aren't as bright. And use a texture or picture as the background instead of just filling it with red.

    Saturation? (help me.. I'm dutch and I don't fully understand the word:P)

    I have one more question, it's also in the essentials thread..
    But some questions never get answered...
    Is it possible to make a trainer use shiny Pokémon?
    If anyone knows, please tell me how:)

    Time for an update, don't you guys think?

    Nothing is really wrong with the name, I just like making fun of it and watching you get frustrated.

    No one told me if I should update graphically or storyline wise... (uhm..?)
    So I'll decided it should be graphically

    Still the question remains:

    How can I make it so that a trainer uses shiny Pokémon, it's really needed for a feature (not completly new) but never been in a gamefreak handheld pokémon game!
    If anyone helps me get that sorted out I'll update with the feature (so it's a win win situation:))

    I would say that it would be just like it is any other way. Import the picture of a shiny Pokemon and make the trainer use it.

    I am not an expert though, just a suggestion.

    By the way, you should definitely consider changing the breeder's name to Matt.

    So as promised I'll update with the feature, although it has slightly changed due to the fact it was impossible to make trainers use shiny Pokémon

    Update:

    The feature:

    This game has now a new subspecies the fossil Pokémon!
    Not like kabuto and omanyte a.o.
    But like an undead Pokémon, a living Fossil!

    I have already made one Pokémon a fossil Pokémon (Zubat)
    Here is what the pokédex says about it:
    This ZUBAT is a fossil, but it's not dead, it's DNA has changed and made it able to live!

    acctually the fossil Pokémon will look better, because it was difficult to make Zubat look fossil like

    This looks neet. But why are you doing this all by yourself? Surely someone might be able to help you make it better...

    good idea, but it's not a death pokémon, it's a fossil..
    so there is no bones nor is there skin, it's more like all stoneish
    But if you would like to sprite me an example of what you think it should like I can reconsider my design..!
