@Sloo thanks for this amazing game! I played v1.2 (I'm at the pokemon league) and now I would like to upgrade to v1.3. Is not possible at all (even changing the save file with an hex editor) to reuse the old save?

It might be possible with a hex editor, I guess.

Having a lot of fun with the game, 3 badges as of now! Found a couple of problems. After that event at Ilex Forest I caught a wild Kakuna and a wild Metapod. They both had no moves, they used Struggle in battle. I guess it is because Harden is an evolution move or a lv 7 move...?

And well, this must be an error with the engine, more than with the game I guess. When a Tauros from a trainer used Pursuit as I switched out my Runerigus, I copied Intimidate... and the battle froze, music kept playing but I could not do anything. I mean, it is an extremely situational thing, but it happened, thankfully I had a save state from just before that fight.

BTW, Whitney destroyed me xD, thankfully with the grinding trainer I could easily get decent Heracross and Houndoom and with that it was much easier!

And I got so frustrated early game, because I found wild Mudkip and Torchic when I had no Poké Balls . After that it took so long to find them again!

That's weird, those two should definitely know harden.

And that sucks with the Mudkip and Torchic, they're both very rare!

Unless changed in v1.3 (didn't see something along those lines) it's the held item thingy, it does the job though based on the number of trainers available. I changed a mon at lvl 60+ and he caught up to the other at around 68~70 just before second E4.

I don't have the exact odds but based on my experience of chasing some starters I'd say 1% or 3%

I have a question though: How can I go about earning money once the trainers in a route are depleted? Trainers call me lots, but rarely mention they're ready for a battle, so I could really use some advice on getting more cash to help me deal with my early game mistakes.

The held item version. I opted to just add battle nurses in most pokecenters that will help raise levels fast instead.

Hmm, I'm not sure early on. Way later you can rebattle the elite 4, and also win nuggets/rare candies/master ball from the battle tower.
Also, you don't have to wait for the trainers to call you asking for a rematch. You can check in your match call in the pokenav to see if they're ready.
I'm not entirely sure when they start wanting rematches, but I think it's based on your badge count.

Why is Janine's ace pokemon not crobat? Nidoqueen is an interesting one for her. When Koga was an elite four member crobat was his ace at the time when he was one. So why not make janine have crobat as her ace pokemon?

Surprised there isnt a save converter for just something for JUST bag space or other theoretically easy changes yet tbh. Even if it's set to undo the bagspace changes on the rom itself.

Nice release though, that must've took forever as i was seeing you cross things out one by one over the weeks.

Thanks for that. But, assumedly trainers will want to battle (with cooldown) tons of times, not just once every so many badges, right? It's finding a way to get the money early on that I'm struggling with.
