A special hint:
Since Sceptile (SpA > Atk) hasn't access to Dragon Pulse, breed it with an Altaria to get at least DragonBreath. NB.: (Altaria must know the move DragonBreath!)

About Johto and Kanto starters: if they were to be mutually exclusive...then the dex completion would be impossible...

Yes. I say that after you catch celebi and beat the elite four for the second time then celebi can time travel to cerulean cave or somewhere like that.

Completely agreed. I'll keep my eye out for it! I can't wait to replay and this time I get a custom mega starter! You truly did create a great rom hack, as I've not wanted replay one so badly since Unbound.

Just started playing, the game looks really awesome! Big kudos to Sloo!

Just had a question, will I need to ev train? Are there ways to easily reset pokemon evs to then train them? And fast way to train their evs? I also assume there is no way to change IVs? Thank you!
 
I just started playing yesterday and I haven't been able to put down the game since. As someone who loved Johto, this romhack is a breath of fresh air 😁

That being said, I had a question and suggestion

Question is will the remaining Johto starters be available in the future?

And my suggestion was to perhaps add a shop that sells the ev lowering berries, and maybe they could also show you the EV/IV count they had. These are just suggestions, by the by - I'm not criticizing the game or anything like that.
 
Do you know what happened to all of the other gym leaders, elite four, and champion (lance)? Like where did they go like did they die or move to a another region?

Rage Resort should be a valid Fly point once you enter it for the first time, like it is in other Johto games. There's a nurse there but no PC, so if you decide you want to change out team members at that point, it requires a time-wasting trip up route 43 every time.

The Phoenix base there has some Strength boulders. The pit within sight of those boulders is properly bottlenecks to make it impossible to turn the corner with them, but the hallways are wide enough to navigate a boulder up through other parts of that map and shove it all the way to the other pit. However, if you do this, the boulder just levitates on top of the pit, not doing anything except blocking you from going down! You can at least shove it out of the way, but that just defeats the purpose of corraling it all the way up there. Not even a bonus reward for it or anything.

When Drampa's Berserk ability pops up, the message says that its Sp. Atk "rose drastically"--i.e. an increase of at least 3 stages. Correct behavior for the ability is that it is only supposed to boost 1 stage.

One of the trainers on route 26 has an Altaria that used Perish Song. Two turns later, it proceeded to charge up Sky Attack, and its perish count fell to 1. The following turn, it managed to switch out--obviously, there is a strong incentive to switch out from Perish Count 1, but it is not supposed to be possible to switch if you're stuck in the middle of a 2-turn charge move.

Later in that same battle, the switch went to Hatterene, who used Healing Wish and correctly fainted...but then nobody gained experience as a result of that KO. Healing Wish KOs are supposed to give experience just like Explosion or Memento.

On the first floor of Victory Road, the last trainer before the ladder is a spinner who can be walked around if you're careful and lucky. However, if you navigate over to be exactly 3 squares to the right of him, and he then turns to face you, that's close enough to be in his notice radius so he'll walk over to battle you...and in the process, trap you in a winding corridor with some Strength boulders and no outlet. If you don't have any Escape Ropes nor the Dig TM, the only way out is to wear yourself down fighting wild Pokemon until your entire party faints.

I mean, that'd be nice, but I'm also thinking of the ability patches and lots of medicines and other things. I'm a big fan of stocking up.

Also, I don't see a way to get more jhoto starters. If I wanted to get some more of those, would I be able to run multiple instances of the rom on my computer and perform trades with myself?
 
I'm having trouble finding the lucky egg item and the files to look them up won't open on my phone
 
Maybe I've missed something, but does the game have both maps from gold and silver? or only Johto?

I'm starting the game now so I may take a while to discover that part ^^
 
Hi please help me, i just got in Mahogany town, but green guys are blocking route 43 e 44 "cause of the snow"

Apparently some berries will drop EVs, and there isn't a way to change IVs.

No, sorry, just the one Johto starter you picked is available.
All berries are in the game scattered around, and some can be purchased.

The Lapras is in Union Cave, same location as the older games. You just need surf to get to it.
It also respawns each time you beat the E4. (so does Sudowoodo, and Rotom).

Others in this thread have said they did just that to get the other two starters. I really don't know how that works lol.

They're just excel spreadsheets.
The lucky egg is a prize at the Goldenrod Game corner. You can also get one from the Gible you receive in the Dragon's Den.

1. Get the Cianwood City gym badge
2. Go to Kizu Forest and complete the events there (left of Olivine on the way to the Safari Zone, past some cut trees)
3. Find the Mahogany Gym leader in Ice Path.
