this is what's happening with me for chimchar. I've encountered at least 7 torchics but there's been no sign of a chimchar to the point where i think the documentation is just lying to me.
I know I talked to one of the npcs about using cut along with hyper cutter, I still trying to encounter a piplup myself. I wonder if we have to cut grass to up its chances of spawning.

Is there something I am missing when it comes to Piplup? I know the starters are meant to be rare, but it seems to be the only one I can't get to show up after a long time of searching. like turtwig and chimchar were both less than an hour at plus 5 speeds, but Piplup wont appear no matter what, but i have gotten like around 10 mudkips. Really appreciate you including the gen 4 starters in the wild btw, my favorite gen! Which is why no being able to get this Piplup is killing me XD
I know piplup is an encounter on route 46, and I'm in the grassy area. Not a single encounter for it I'm wondering if it is an overworld encounter through cutting all of the grass out. Or if it is a surf encounter but I don't know of any water on route 46.

Thanks. I'll see if those work.
So, the mGBA site just freezes and crashes everytime I try to download from it. And the Retroarch site wants me to download a thing called 'Private Search for Chrome' that states it will gain full access to my search history, be able to alter that history however it wants, and can change all data I see on websites. I don't think I'd want that. Do you know why the mGBA site wouldn't be responding?

i don't know if it's particularly important or if the developer is looking to make another version, but i'd like to report that its possible to get completely stuck in that specific spot in the forest after the second gym, i found it funny but had to recover from a previous save

Are all starters available in the game? I checked documentation and I can't seem to find any mention of starters past gen 4

Thank you for including the highest levels of the gym leaders without actually spoiling their teams, you are GOATed for that.

I think I caught a bug. When talking to the nature changing woman in Violet, the game freezes if the Pokemon is shiny (it freezes everytime for my shiny Kricketune, but works properly for others).

Are the Sail and Jaw fossils available immediately after getting Dive? I've found the other fossils, but I'm having trouble with those 2.

Caution - Use cheat codes at your own risk!
Since this is a decomp, the game data gets shifted whenever it's compiled. Pokémon Emerald cheats will not work, and cheats tailored to Scorched Silver will probably be version specific (v1.0, v1.1, etc.)

Both polls closed, see the new Johto mega evolutions in the spoiler below:
Spoiler:

Intro
Hey, it's been a while. I'm sure nobody expected to see me again.
In my typical fashion, I've kept the development of this game well hidden. Nevertheless, this is a complete game with 8 badges, and plenty of post game content. This is not a remake of Gold and Silver, but a sequel with an entirely new story.
Fair warning – The gym leaders use items and some setup moves making this game moderately difficult, but not impossible. If you defeat all available trainers before each gym, and use a little strategy, you should be fine.

Hope you all enjoy it!

Bugs
- Game freezes after falling down with Oliver in the Ruins of Alph: Fixed in v1.1 patch
- Hisuian Zorua and Hisuian Voltorb currently don't evolve. Fixed in v1.1 patch
- Galarian Weezing (maybe others too?) seems to break double battles a little (the sprites will flip around some, not game breaking, but looks funny)
- Mega evolution symbol will stay on screen after the mega pokémon has fainted sometimes. Goes away after battle, or if you view your other pokémon
- In the multi double battles, if all of your teammate's pokémon faint, it may not let you switch
- Galarian Yamask can't currently evolve to Runerigus. Fixed and re-uploaded v1.2 patch 7/3/24 (Galarian Yamask just needs to sustain 49+ damage in battle, uses max HP - current HP formula).
- Game freezes when talking to mom after first Shane battle sometimes, seems rare. Should be fixed in v1.3

My focus sash disappeared not sure how. I noticed after my woobat evolved. Not sure if it was knocked off and never came back or disappeared on evolution.

Hey, I'm at Alicia and can't make her pop up. I know where she should be, and am pressing the action button, but she just won't spawn. I went through the entire gym and tried to interact with everything just in case. Is this a known issue? Would suck if it was because I saved before and don't have an earlier point.

Where can I find the HMs for Whirlpool/Waterfall? I've finished the 8th gym and dragon's den but I'm not sure where to go now.

Hey is Infernal Parade in the game? I just evolved my Typhlosion and it did not learn the move.
