Currently running a Nuzlocke of it to see how far I get. If I lose I'll just switch to a regular playthrough. I'm really enjoying the story so far, and your brother is hilarious.

Edit: After that second Gym fight I'm absolutely dreading the rest of them. RNGesus did not grace me with Fairy counters.

Edit+: Ahhh man I lost to Whitney.

Has anyone actually found Steelixite? The sheet says the Nerd in Cherrygrove has it, but nobody there gives it to you. I have the Mega Ring and some other stones, but do you need to progress to a certain point or is it elsewhere?

EDIT: Found it. You need to travel to Roujem City and a woman there asks you to check in on her boyfriend for her, which progresses the Nerd's dialogue.

For anyone searching for the trade stone like I did, sadly the description in the excel file is not very helpful. Requirement: You need to have the fifth badge and HM3 Surf. So you start from Route 32, go into the Union Cave, go to the left a little bit, then move upwards, climb down a ladder, move upwards with surf, move upwards again, take the left where an exit should be. Outside is another Ruin of Alph with the trade stone further inside!

Is there an easy way to breed shinies? Would be neat if you could put an in-game trade for a ditto or something that is coded for a different country or something. (Or just add the shiny charm)
 
Hello there,

I'm looking to play the game but i would like to change the base shiny odds, anyone know how could i do that ? I looked to do some hex editing but it looks like the shiny hex code is not the classic hex code of emerald.
 
Just finished this game and WOW! Awesome job, great story and characters, and a spectacular job in rendering Jhoto 20 years later imo! This is particularly impressive considering it was a one-man project! Kudos to you @Sloo !
I really hope you're planning on doing another one of these sequel-type rom hacks, because I absolutely loved this one! Almost feels like a 'natural' GF Pokémon game ngl (which is a good thing to me!) 😀

Just wanna list here some bugs I came across, in case you intend on addressing them (2 of them should definitely be addressed imo):

Minor or inconvenient bugs
- Berry Pouch in the Bag only allows for the original amount of berries from vanilla Emerald, and as such you can't have one of every Berry in the game at the same time
- Some NPCs have paths that potentially block the player temporarily (example: sailor near piers in Roujem Shipyard)

Serious bugs
- Box 1 Slot 19 tends to become a Bad Egg or invisible Bad Egg after some time playing, and picking it up or checking its summary usually results in freezing/crashing the game
- Cerulean Cave event has soft-lock potential if you don't bring a mon that can learn surf (as you can't leave until you encounter mewtwo and are stuck without surf!)

Keep up the great work, and I definitely can't wait to try another rom hack by you! 😁
 
After the beating second gym, the Celebi event in the Ilex forest is not triggering. Clicking on the shrine does nothing, I tried to wait, click a lot, reload a save, reload a save state, change the mGBA core. There's only that grunt in the forest and nothing else. Any tips?

Edit: walked around, talked to the second gym leader, she told me how great the battle was and it fixed the issue. Weird.

Anyone able to advise where to find whirlpool and fly?

I'm looking for Lugia now but I think I need at least whirlpool.
 
Looking for the information on EV yields, what generation is used to calculate it? I'm training my team and stat changes are all over the place, although I'm defeating only Pokémon for Attack and HP EVs.
 
The ability parental bond seems to be bugged, the ability description is that moves hit twice but moves only land once. I tried in both trainer and wild battles to see if that would make a difference, but it didn't.
 
Hey there, love the hack! Wanted to ask where in ruins of alph you find inkay. I'm early in the game but can't seem to find it. Do I need to come back later with surf or something to get to the other ruins? Is there another special area like the one you find Oliver in that I can't access yet where inkay spawns?

Edit: well since I went ahead with no answer I eventually found out that all the non ghost type encounters listed in the documentation can be found in the grass outside (even though it specifies only for
Natu for some dumb reason) that requires surfing through union cave. Leaving this here on the minuscule chance it helps somebody out there someday.
