It's true, I wonder where the writers got the idea to name the characters after the game versions? But as far as the colors go Blue sounds pretty feminine as does Crystal(I still don't know why they shortened it to Chris) and Sapphire but those are jems so I suppose they don't count as colors. Poor Ruby, he has one of the girliest names...
 
Ruby isn't that girly though. It fits him well. How is it a girly name anyway? How are any names girly?

Ruby isn't girly at all. He just likes contests and beauty. If he was girly he'd be an emotional train wreck when it came to his dad and Sapphire. Besides, I've seen those vicious battle eyes of his. That is not girly. After all, he became a wierdo for the sake of a girl. I don't think Ruby is a girly name. But there are girly names... well maybe "girly" isn't the write word. how about "names that are generally associated with girls". Names like Mary, Jessica, Holyann, etc.

Really the only name that I see as "associated with girls" is Crystal. Maybe Sapphire as well but even then. Other then that, I wouldn't mind being named Red, Blue, Yellow, Green, Silver, Ruby, or Gold... or Diamond, Pearl, or Platinum for that matter.

Anyway, Chapter 328 will re-release again with better quality.

lol well wat are we supposed to talk about when there aren't any new chaps out? I like how these discussions go off on tangents. It's fun to look back and see where we started and how it became what it is.
 
What I think is, not fun at all.
This isn't a chatroom or randomness. This "Pokemon Special (Adventures) Scans and Translation" created for the reason. Or I won't post any news again since this thread has became chatbox... =.="
 
Ryan, relax. At least isn't not going off-topic outside of PokeSpecial.

Ebon Blade, I agree with what you say. I used to have the same feelings for Ruby until I found out more about his backstory. And since then he's an awesome character. And yes, Crystal's the only name that sounds feminine.

You know, I thought that the font of page 53 in volume 24 was really cool. See? I guess we can talk about the actual scans but...
 
Haha... OK, I'll be more nicer. But being kinda rude is not really what I meant for.

Points:
1.) If everyone talks about PokeSpecial here, then you made here become PokeSpecial Forum and the sub-forum of manga, dead =S
2.) It will made the creator of this thread (me) created the wrong thread. Scans releasing but discuss about others.
3.) People will talk about others instead of releasing.

Creating another thread like "Name of Pokedex Owners/Holders Discussion" will be better because we don't have any clashes.

That's just my points. I was trying to not gonna be harsh so I tried my best =(

I guess we could do that kinda stuff...although making a new thread every time we go off topic is kinda...stretching it, dont ya think, Ryan? We could talk about the scans and releases but, um, it might be a bit more, hmm, whats the word I'm looking for? A bit..boring maybe. Theres nothing wrong with your telling points, and since you are the one who created the thread, you have a right to get annoyed if this happens. RubyJB88 and bubblewrap are right, at least we're talking about PokeSpecial and not going WAY off topic and talking about...I dunno, global warming or something. We can talk about the scans and stuff but...well you can test that one out yourself.

Uhh I said this before...There is a fanclub for all of the randomness right?:Pokemon Special/Adventures Fan Club
Yet it is modded and "keep on topic" and whatnot. XD
But then again you could ask to create another fanclub for COMPLETELY random stuff.

Options:
Ryan's PokeScans Club
Create a new randomness thread in the Manga Sub-Forum (But a mod might come in)
Use the relatively modded: Pokemon Special/Adventures Fan Club
Keep using this for random stuff.
Use the unused Group: Pokemon Adventures/Special Group
Create a new fanclub?

I didn't say Ruby was girly just his name. Ruby is one of my favorite characters.

Perhaps it was the writers' intention to name the boy Ruby to show his...er...you-know-what.

Crystal is a known name. In some scan summaries she is called "Kris".

I didn't think you were too harsh... If you yelled at us "Get off my F-ing thread if you won't stay on-topic" that would be harsh.
Sorry about our randomness again (You'll probably hear me say this about five more times because it's an old habit of mine to say 'I'm sorry' a lot) we just get really excited about some things and then we go on, and on.... or at least that's how it works with me.
