Pokémon Spinoff: [Pokémon TCG Generations] 1.6.1

Just installed it and ran into a small bug right with the lab trainer distributing energy cards (him using the water/psychic deck). Whereas my Seel's can only search for Pokémon, his apparently added water energies to hand whenever they landed on heads.

Been loving the hack so far after having done a few runs of Neo, props for the work and sprites!
Ok that's weird, the AI should use that effect well, because it's practically the PokeBall effect, I'll see about it later, thanks

Another bug I came across was Vaporeon's Water Gun attack. A lot of the other Water 'mons attacks of the similar sort work just fine (Greninja works perfectly). But Vaporeon's damage scaling for extra energy starts from the 4th energy onwards, despite being a 2 energy attack (and thus should be starting from the 3rd). Where it results in:

2 energy: 30 damage
3 energy: 30 damage
4 energy: 40 damage
5 energy: 50 damage

All attached energies were Water energy to be clear.

ok I think I know why that happens, I would say that at some point vaporeon's attack cost was 3 energies and I changed it to 2 without changing the effect

Another few oddities I've noticed: Frogadier's Flip Turn attack also doesn't seem to benefit from extra water energies attached to it (in this case had 2 attached, but attack did 10 damage), even though Water Pulse does.

And Floatzel's Acquatic Rescue attack should do 10 to itself, but never does any because it resists water. Seems odd to have it deal damage to itself when 99% of cases it won't ever.

Cheers!

yeah, the same thing that happened with vaporeon.
The Floatzel thing is intentional. Originally it was to make it better than Relicanth, now with its new effect I don't know if it's that necessary anymore.

Yeah, at that point I'd consider not including the 'does damage to itself' part of the effect, to save on text and animations. Same goes for Kingdra (second attack also does 10 to itself, but it resists its type) and probably some others I don't know of. Already lots to read, usually on two pages worth of text, with that part of the attack effect being confusingly useless. Why even have it try to do damage to itself, if it'll never take it?

There are others that have the same effect and share a description, I did not make a new description simply because I thought it would be strange to use the attack and that a random 0 of damage appears on the screen.
Likewise, I am going to change that description.

Hello! This would be the Update 1.5.1, a small update because it simply fixes the errors/Bugs that have been notified to me, some small changes to some cards and 3 new sprites.
[PokeCommunity.com] [Pokémon TCG Generations] 1.6.1
CHANGELOG
Spoiler:

Additionally, the Zip now includes the Changelog in a text file, simply so you know the small changes.
Let me know if you guys find anything else, have a good day =D

I get an "invalid patch format" error when attempting to use your ips file. I was able to apply the PTCG Neo hack successfully, which suggests that this issue was not user error.

I've tried Marc Robledo's online JS patcher and flips. I'm using the Linux version of flips, but I seriously doubt my OS would impact the online alternative.

I don't know what the problem is, the page works fine for me and applies the patch well, could it be something from Linux? I don't know if it can cause any problems

It doesn't seem like it should be related to Linux if everything else works. I just double-checked and I am also able to apply the LC version of your patch, just not the main file.

You tried Unipatcher?
I looked at the Play Store page and I'm not sure that it's available on plain Linux (Ubuntu). There are entries for Windows, Android, and so on. Perhaps there's an android emulator I can use, I haven't dug that deep.

EDIT:
I think the unzip utility is corrupting that particular patch file for whatever reason, because its filesize is over 900 KiB. I''ll try an alternative.
EDIT 2:
Using a different program to unpack the .rar worked just fine. File Roller wasn't up to the task, evidently.

Hello, I simply wanted to show you guys a little of what I am doing for the next version which is going to be a "Visual Update", some changes to the sprites and bug fixes:
[PokeCommunity.com] [Pokémon TCG Generations] 1.6.1[PokeCommunity.com] [Pokémon TCG Generations] 1.6.1
As you can see it's basically a change to the palettes, going from Monochromatic to something more colorful. (note that this change will not be on all cards)

[PokeCommunity.com] [Pokémon TCG Generations] 1.6.1[PokeCommunity.com] [Pokémon TCG Generations] 1.6.1
And as always you will see new sprites and some new attacks (Darmanitan being the best example)

I plan to add other things but for now that's all, what do you guys think? have a nice day =)
