Emerald hack: Pokémon Team Rocket Edition: Dragonsden Version - Kanto/Sevii/Johto | Next release: DLC (season 4)

While it did originally seem that focus was going to be/was on finishing the English translation for Johto and the post Johto DLC, that was eventually shifted to now focusing on completing Hoenn in Spanish (including making all the maps and scripting all the events and everything else).

So while the original impression was that the only thing that needed to be completed was Johto and the DLC's English translation and playtesting to make sure it was inserted correctly, which (as stated in the opening post) would have/was originally said to be done within 3 months of the original English release, this shift in focus means that it will take longer for the next English release of this game to be finished.

And again, that's because of the shift in focus. It seems they want to complete the game/the next portion of the game in Spanish, first. (Which they're basically building from scratch, since they don't have vanilla aspects to work off of.) Then, once that's been completed, they'll go back to working on the English translation and playtesting.

We can no longer go by what was originally said and inclined, but by what the current plans/focus has currently shifted to.

Eagerly waiting for update , when it's coming??

Aka, when it's ready

Is there a way to change ability/hidden abilities in this game?
There is a training area inside the Rocket Base that opens up after you get all Gym badges where they sell Ability Pills. I seem to remember there was a solitary Ability Pill hidden somewhere before that, but I'm playing again from scratch and I can't find it. I'm currently on the Silph Co. mission, I'll let you know if I find it.

Thanks for the reply! That sounds great!

Another question, does anyone know if Venusaur is useless in this game? The TM list in the folder says there is no Giga Drain or Energy Ball, and Venusaur is a special attacker. It would need move relearner to get petal dance, which is post game right? Should I dump the free Venusaur you get?

Found the Ability Pill:

Rocket Hideout, secret basement in that box in Area 2 where they study Mega Evolution.

As for Venusaur, TM19 is a prize for beating Erika, you get to battle the gyms after you visit Cinnabar Island.

You can also teach it egg moves with a tutor at the Rocket Hideout, in the Executives-only area that opens up after you battle the legendary birds. If I'm not mistaken, Giga Drain is also an egg move for Venusaur.

Also experiment with TMs. I just discovered that Scizor can learn Leech Life in this game, which made me very happy, so see if Venusaur can learn something it normally wouldn't.

If all fails, in that same area where you can teach egg moves, you can also purchase a Budew.

Hope this information os useful!

how is mega power?
Excellent. Everything made by 1158 is in a league of its own, but Mega Power and Nameless are beyond any romhack I've ever played.
Well, that was the case. Pokemon TRE sure gives them a run for their money!

I was about to call BS. Turns out I... never even found the Leech Life TM. Where is it?

where is the egg move tutor exactly?
1. Complete the Lavander Tower mission to gain acces to the secret basement in the Rocket Hideout.
2. Complete the legendary birds mission to get access to the VIP room.
3. The VIP room is at the southernmost end of the secret basement. The egg tutor is tjere as well as a guy who sells Budew, Hippopotas, Larvitar, Buneary, Shieldon and Croagunk.

1. Go to Pewter City and talk to the guy who's spraying repel on his garden. He will ask you to help him get rid of some people in Vermillion City.
2. Go to Vermillion City and talk to the guy again, he's near Route 6. He'll lead you to a secret garden.
3. Help the guy and you'll get access to mint-bearing trees and EV-reducing-berry trees. The mints and the berries regrow over time. The TM for Leech Life is lying on the ground.

Both the VIP area in the Rocket Hideout and the garden in Vermillion City were added in this update. I've been discovering things that weren't in the previous versions by talking to literally everyone. Hope it helps!

What is the best place to grind. Having a hard time in lavender town
Sadly the last place you visited is the best place to grind. I'd say at that point in the game go to Route 16 since the Raticate and Fearow there are the highest-leveled Pokémon at this point (also, get HM02 Fly while you're there). Later on I'd recommend the Safari Zone and the basement at the Pokémon Mansion.

I can not find where to get the kanto starters, dratini , or lapras . I've looked in the documentation

When Giovanni assigns you to visit Pallet Town, you just steal Bulbasaur from Professor Oak's lab.

Talk to the Fishing Guru on Route 12, he'll ask you to battle the Fishing Guru in Fucsia City. Battle him and then go back to Route 12 and talk to the Fishing Guru, he'll give you a Squirtle.

Try to buy a Magikarp from the guy at the Mt. Moon Pokécenter. He'll scam you. This will trigger an event in Fucsia City. Go there, near the exit to Route 18, and you'll see a Scientist. He'll ask you to fight some thieves at the Pokémon Mansion on Cinnabar Island. Fight them and you will steal a Charmander from them. Then go back to Fucsia and the Scientist will reward you with a large sum of money and a Snorlax.

Dratini can be found surfing in the stream in Bill's Garden, but if you can no longer go there, I believe there are more in the Safari Zone.

Sadly, Lapras isn't available until the post game, in the cave on Four Island.

The patch that I downloaded is from 22.4.2024, is it the latest version?
If not, from where can I get\download it?
